While distributing food parcels to the homeless it came to our attention that they also needed clothing, toiletries, mosquito coils, and blankets. Knowing and catering to their needs we included these too. Blankets were given away to the homeless to protect them from the cold of the night, the cold pavement and benches and from the mosquito last night. This programme that was initiated by Pothihai Tharma Chakkram was joined by Thondu Seivom and others too.
Earlier in the day, Bala Chandran's family served food to the inmates of an old folks home. This was a monthly programme initiated by Bala Chandran.
