I was left to fend for myself after Agathiyar had me go within. Both my gurus had gone into Samadhi. At the same time, the pandemic appeared, and there was a lockdown. The internet kept a few who chose to remain connected. It came as a savior as many continued to work from home. As the Nadi readers had left for India in the wake of the dreaded virus, at the height of the pandemic, Lord Siva had a devotee take notes and pass them to me. It was a call to restart the rituals. Lord Siva asked us to carry out the Homam in each of our homes. It was to contain its spread and to help Prapanjam heal. Later, Prapanjam, too, fearing a revival, asked us to do the same. Is this a coincidence that what was taught to us by Tavayogi was of use then?
We were told that we could pick up this tool as and when required. Tavayogi told me that after he saw the devastating effects of Mother Nature's fury coming as the Tsunami in 2004, he began to carry out the Yagam in his ashram grounds. He asked me to do the same. As I feared that it was the domain of the temple priests, he gave me permission to do it, with Agathiyar coming in the Nadi, telling me that it was for the good of the world.
Agathiyar had told us that when Tavayogi was recovering from his operation in 2017, the Siddhas sat to carry it out. He got an extension of a year to sort out the papers at his ashram and appoint Mataji Sarojini Ammaiyar as heir before he was called back in 2018 to do Agathiyar's work in his realm.
When my mother-in-law was ill back then in Perak, Agathiyar had us pack up the Homam Kundam and all the stuff that went into the flames and head towards her home, where Bhogar came to perform the ritual coming through a devotee. Lord Muruga too came, telling us that he would bring this matter to the attention of Lord Siva.
Seeing this, I took up Homam each time a family member was warded. They return home safely.
Soon, I came to learn from Mataji that a man held under suspicion of pushing drugs just because he loaned his car to his friends was released after his wife went over to Kallar and participated in the Yagam on the advice of Mataji, who took over from Tavayogi after his demise. Is this a coincidence?
When another government official was suspended while investigations were going on, and as his passport was witheld he could not travel to Kallar. Taking Mataji's advice, he came over to AVM, where we carried out the Homam. He was reinstated in his job. Is this a coincidence, for his child, while playing with his phone, had accidentally called me several months earlier?
Recently, a family that had held on to Agathiyar for many years, and sadly had never seen the light at the end of the tunnel, turned up at AVM. Agathiyar asked that they place all their grievances into the burning fire, let it consume them, and walk out without turning back or talking about it. They are one happy family now. Is this a coincidence that they should turn up at AVM?
Previously, if we only knew that the Yagam was carried out to please the Gods by placing offerings into the flames, which is said to be carried and delivered to them, now we understand that the Yagam or Homam is a double-edged sword that could be used as a show of gratitude or used to heal or shred ones misfortunes too just as a kitchen knife cuts vegetables and could also kill someone. Now I understand why Tavayogi, after a few years of starting to light the Yagam, began to give opportunities to individual families to carry it out by preparing and placing individual Yaga Kundams or sacrificial pits.
Since then, I have been advocating for those in trouble and suffering to place all their worries into the burning fire of the Homam.
The libation or Abhisegam of statues serves a similar purpose to cool down the wrath of the deities, Mother Nature, and Prapanjam, and to please them.
