Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal was instructed to install a granite statue of Agathiyar at the very spot where Agathiyar had given him a vision in the hills of Kallar, about 3 km above his ashram.
Surendran Selvaratnam from Malaysia arrived at Kallar a few days before Agathiyar's Jayanthi to participate in the Sarva Dosa Nivarana Maha Yagam and subsequently made his way up the hills to pay his respect to Agathiyar.
