BATTLING FATE

Jnana Jyothiamma posted the following verse:
God will take us down the paths that we never want to travel on, and onto the roads that we never want to see, just to get us to a place that we never want to leave.
That is how Agathiyar reorders our priorities in life. That is how Agathiyar brings about and performs the transformation in us from a common man to a divine man, a master (guru), a Rishi, a Siddha, a Gandharva, a Deva and finally brings us back home to the kingdom of Erai.

Agathiyar comes to remind us who we are. This can be in many ways. It can be through a Nadi reading. The Nadi is revealed with Erai’s permission and only if one's fate permits. Fate also determines when one should hear his reading, and how much is to be revealed. The revelation can come through a master or guru. It can also be revealed during meditation. For those not into these facets of spirituality and have yet to take their first step, they are lured by miracles performed by the Siddhas.

Agathiyar points out that the Pandavas had Lord Krishna on their side and yet their sufferings did not end. If Lord Krishna wished and wanted he could have provided a comfortable life for them oblivious to sufferings and obstacles. Here is where fate comes into play. Fate has to carry out its duty and thats were the Navagraham or planets play their role, all orchestrated by Erai, according to the period in time, the yuga concerned, and the dharma of that period, all set out perfectly and functioning to its minutest detail and second. Erai and Mahans can only interfere to a certain extent in a man's life. The extent, and for whom, and when is also dependent on other factors. If need arises it is re-calculated. Erai alters our fate then.

Man, trying his level best in his material endeavours, yet failing in his attempts to have a richer life, turns to the Mahans and Jnanis for guidance. They in turn, turn to the more superior Jnanis and Devas for consultation. The Siddhas with Erai's blessings, then reveal certain means and solutions. But man would need additional merits, punya balam and atma balam, to battle an already strong ill fate that he is facing. Ordinary prayers, worship and charity done on a small scale would not possibly change his fate. If he wants to battle his fate he has to continuously perform prayers to Erai, and conduct actions that increase his atma balam. But Agathiyar admits it would be a long battle indeed. If it is an illness and if it is severe, one would have to take the medication for a longer duration. Similarly the severity of his ill fate can only be overcome with an equally appropriate atonement over a longer measure of time. Agathiyar ask that we do not expect immediate solutions or miracles to take place but instead take on this battle to change one's fate with continuous prayers and total surrender to Erai. Agathiyar ask to allow Erai to do what and when as he deems fit. Agathiyar cautions us that an immediate and drastic change could either work in our favor bringing good results immediately or bring adverse and harmful effects to the recipient.

As he advances spiritually, he realizes that the state of sorrow is not in the surroundings but is a matter of how he sees them and accepts them. By accepting that he has made a wrong judgement or a mistake, declaring that he would not repeat them and promising to be more careful, and by moving on with life, that episode would not torture him no more. He uses his remaining energy and diverts it towards constructive thinking, setting his live in order again. Agathiyar warns that sorrow will lead to further confusion. Hence man needs to understand that all things will come to pass and nothing is permanent. Man gets caught in the illusion of real and false often many times. By seeking the grace of Erai and with the aid of Siddhas to guide, man will eventually understand what is permanent joy and sorrow. Real joy and bliss is in doing Erai's work. Continuous prayers, charity and service will raise one to true devotion to Erai that will supersede all other priorities in life.

The true spiritual path is one where one adopts and adheres to a path of worship, abstain from all forms of wrong doings and evil thoughts. Knowing pretty well that its a difficult challenge Erai and the Siddhas expect us to battle these vices and rise up again and again. Erai will then come down to help us come out of this rut. Agathiyar reminds us that all things are possible only through Erai's grace and compassion.

Man takes for granted all the good things showered on him from minute to minute but is disturbed the very moment he faces an obstacle, illness or suffering. This is the working of maya or illusion. Agathiyar reminds us that peace, happiness, and satisfaction is not derived from outside. If man could develop a positive attitude towards life, and carry out all his responsibilities, he would become satisfied. Man must learn to be satisfied. If he ends up unsatisfied with what he has, it only means fate is still at play.

THE GNANASKANDAR JEEVA NADI

The administrator of http://kaumarapayanam.blogspot.ru has posted revelations on the mysterious and mystical Sri Gnanaskandar Jeeva Nadi of a Skandar Upasagar at http://kaumarapayanam.blogspot.com/2015/03/26.html, and  http://kaumarapayanam.blogspot.com/2015/03/27.html. Originally in Tamil, I have tried my best to translate portions of it into English.

The author says that each of us has taken a birth to relinquish our karmic baggage. But sadly we have forgotten the purpose and instead have engaged in increasing the karma.

The Siddhas have never let down the true genuine devotees who came surrendering to them. The Siddhas help them to sail through this birth, showing the means to reduce one's karma. All they expect from them is true devotion and a yearning for Erai, having themselves seen Erai.

The author introduces the Sri Gnanaskandar Jeeva Nadi. Besides Lord Murugan, Agathiyar, Sugar, Kagapujandar, and Patanjali appear and bless the seekers through this mystical Nadi.

He relates an episode from the Skandar Upasagar's life.

Once at 6 in the morning, the Skandar Upasagar was at prayer. Suddenly he heard a voice from within. “Son! Pick up the Jeeva Nadi and read it. I have a message for you”. But as he was in deep meditation he just could not come out of it. After half an hour he finally could pick up the Nadi. He could feel a vibration go through him. “Turn to the 8th olai or leaf and read it”, he was told.

A yellow light appeared in the olai. He could make out a small figure with a beard, carrying a kamandalam or staff, and a theerta sombu or drinking vessel. The light began to glow even more brighter. Agathiyar and Lord Murugan appeared together in that glow. Both Agathiyar and Lord Murugan insisted that the Skandar Upasagar reveal their coming in the light and write about it.

Agathiyar continued, "The Siddhas will reign under my leadership soon in this age of Kali. The signs are already there. People are suffering. People do not uphold moral and virtues. Natural calamities and new diseases will surface and will be a great challenge. We shall appear at certain places, in the Nadi in the form of light and without form too for the sake of true devotees. Similarly I shall appear and grace this nadi too if Lord Murugan wishes. We shall show ways to eradicate peoples karma through this nadi."

IN THE COMPANY OF PERFECT BEINGS PART 4

Photos courtesy of Bala Chandran

Chellappa Sairam forwarded another episode of his friend Jai Ganesh's sacred experiences.

KALLAR ASHRAM IS MOVING

Kallar Ashram is moving. The Sri Agathiyar Gnana Peedham at Kallar, started by Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal in 1998, is moving with the blessings of Agathiyar through last Saturday's Jeeva Nadi revelation, to another place more conducive and convenient for the public to access.

Initial clearing and levelling works has already started with Tavayogi personally supervising the project. Good samaritans have come forward to donate towards this cause. Let us do our part in constructing a temple for Agathiyar, Thava Murugan and the 18 Siddhas.

For more information and to channel your donations, please call Tavayogi and Mataji at 91 98420 27383 and 91 98425 50987 respectively.

THERE IS YET SOME HOPE

Imagine this scenario. You have taken birth again. You have somehow came to a Nadi reader for a reading. Agathiyar reveals your past birth. He is going to mention about this current birth as your past life. Agathiyar will scan through your present live and reveal them to you as your past. If you have lived well, then you would not need to worry. But if you had not lived well, then Agathiyar is going to reveal whatever harm that you have brought onto others in this birth and its repercussion and results at that moment of revelation. Agathiyar will propose certain remedial measures to ease or remove your karma, the total sum of your wrongdoings in that birth and and all the past seven births that you had taken too.

This would mean that you can change the reading in the next birth by threading this very life carefully, being aware of every move you make. The future is indeed in your hands to a large part, although karma from your many previous births might modify the results.

Simply said, when we start changing our lives now for the better, the future birth is taken care of. Everything shall then be favorable to us.

When I went for my very first Kaanda Nadi reading Agathiyar told me what wrongs I had done in the past life. I took this birth to experience another facet of life and to also settle my dues from the past birth.

Agathiyar decides how much to reveal to a person too. For instance both my daughters were told their past birth, precise place of birth, and surprisingly their past names and those of their past parents too. I was told of my past deeds too and briefly about myself, although no names were mentioned. In the case of my wife Agathiyar mentioned nothing about her past, and she did not need to leave her thumbprint to locate her Nadi, as we all did. She was blessed with an Aasi Nadi and did not need to go through the routine of question and answer session to locate her Kaanda Nadi.

Another Nadi that is quite popular now is the Jeeva Nadi. The mode of delivering messages varies according to the individual seeker, or a target group and its reader. The modus operandi too varies. The late Jeeva Nadi Guru of Chennai had the Jeeva Nadi in his possession for more than 40 years where Agathiyar guided many seekers overcome their sufferings and problems. The Jeeva Nadi in possession of Sri Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal of Kallar reveals answers to questions and doubts. In the Jeeva Nadi in possession of Sri Ganeshan of Tanjore, besides answering questions, Agathiyar speaks about general matters too. The Gnana Skandar Jeeva Nadi in possession of Skantha Ubasagar C.D. Jegatheeswaran addresses the problems of the seekers. Sri Ramani Guruji reads from the Jeeva Nadi in his possession for the public and the audience will equate these revelations as solutions to their own individual problems. The Jeeva Nadha Brahma Suvadi with Sri Muthukamara Swamigal addresses peoples problems too. Sri Dharmalinga Swamigal too has a Jeeva Nadi in his possession. His website says, "You can come in person. All your present, past and future will be said to you without you giving any details about you, not even your name. All you have to do is pray and touch a Nadi leaf." Nadi Guru Selvam too has a Jeeva Nadi in which Agathiyar addresses the seekers guiding them and providing remedies for the wellbeing of the general public.

FEEDBACKS

It has been a fulfilling journey; coming to read the Nadi; getting to know about life, creation, the Siddhas and Erai; having the Mahamuni Agathiyar come and reside at Agathiyar Vanam; starting rituals that we never dreamt off; streaming of the puja or prayers; and sharing the many miracles of the Siddhas on Siddha Heartbeat. Along the way I have received positive reviews. I share some of them with readers of Siddha Heartbeat.

Two of my friends wrote back to me after reading the post HOW AGATHIYAR HELPED ME UNDERSTAND LIFE at http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.com/2015/03/how-agathiyar-helped-me-understand-life.html

  • Such a beautiful posting shan Ayya. Reading this has answered many of the doubts lingering in my mind. Surely the spiritual path is one where many of us end up with much confusions but a complete faith on and in the Lord will help us reach His feet.
  • Ayya.. read your post how-agathiyar-helped-me-understand-life just now... tears rolls out... It says something to me... could not understand what... "Agathiyar made me realize that although we place our thoughts on our goal and work towards it, achieving all the multitude of daily aspirations and wishes, accessing and gauging them accordingly, that should not be the ultimatum. He sets out to help reorder our priorities in life. He tells us to be aware of our actions, watch that we do not accumulated more and fresh karma, and take steps to address and redress our past karma. This would be the ideal and ultimate spiritual life.", this gives answer to many of my questions.
A couple of readers commented on Agathiyar's Moola Mantra,
