THE SIGNIFICANCE OF PILGRIMAGES

While walking with the Siddhas I was led onto their path beginning with Sariyai, then Kriyai, Yogam and with their grace, eventually Jnanam one day. After coming to Agathiyar, I let him lead me. He asked me to worship him and the Siddhas and Erai too. He lives in my home in the form of a bronze statue where we perform libation to him. We perform lighting the sacred fire pit ritual or homam too. All these is conducted on his directive. He knows whats best for me. He knows when I should start a regime or practice and when to end it too. A guru is one who gives one a practice and monitors his progress, and if the need be, puts an end to that very practice too.

Agathiyar starts almost everyone who comes for a Nadi reading with instructions to perform atonements or parikarams which takes one to many temples too. Agathiyar has encouraged devotees to undertake pilgrimages. Agathiyar and the Siddhas amaze their devotees by performing miracles, giving darshans and guiding them on their journeys besides performing many other mind boggling feats.

Besides other places, I was asked to visit Agasthiyampalli where Agathiyar promised to open his eyes in my Nadi reading. He fulfilled his promise.

Surendaran Selvaratnam from Malaysia was invited personally to Pothigai Peak by Agathiyar in a Jeeva Nadi reading at Kallar. Agathiyar in the Jeeva Nadi reading called him over, telling him that he would personally give him a helping hand to climb and overcome the treacherous and slippery boulders. Agathiyar added that Korakar would accompany them, giving Suren the confidence to hike up to Pothigai peak. Surendaran successfully and safely climbed the peak.

Srimathi Nalini of Chennai went on a pilgrimage as directed by Agathiyar. She wrote, "In Jeeva Naadi (read at Kallar) Agathiyar ayya asked me to visit Pabanasam, then Agathiyar aruvi, Sadhu Krishnaveni Amma ashram and his moolasthanam at Kalyana Theertham. Next he asked me to visit Coutralam. He asked me to come to Senbagadevi aruvi."

Agathiyar promised her his darshan and blessing at Shenbaga Devi Aruvi,  "Senbagadevi aruvi karai oram nan irukken en kugai undu en vaasi kol undu adhai un sirasil thottu vanagu".

Agathiyar has graciously mentioned the significance of performing pilgrimages, in Nadi readings for Viji Amma, Saravanan Kandasamy and others too.

For those who came to Agathiyar for a solution to their problems and miseries, Agathiyar through his favorite son the late Jeeva Nadi Guru of Chennai Amarar Hanumathdasan spelled out many remedies.

Agathiyar most graciously delivers Bhogar's remedy for Aids to an individual who seeked out Agathiyar's Jeeva Nadi at http://siththanarul.blogspot.com/2014/05/173.html, Agathiyar instructs him to carry out atonement for each member of his family to remove their past karma and only then to undertake a journey to Sathuragiri or Pothigai where certain herbs were available for preparing the Siddha medication prescribed by Bhogar, which was elaborated in detail by Agathiyar.

Besides dictating and directing others on pilgrimages, Agathiyar had Amarar Hanumathdasan himself go to numerous temples where Agathiyar would reveal a thing or two.

Agathiyar had his favorite daughter Jnana Jyothiamma go places where she was bestowed with his grace and that of other Siddhas and Erai.

Lord Muruga made Arunagiri of Thiruvannamalai go to several abodes of his throughout India, giving him precious gifts and upadesa at these spiritual spots at timely moments.

Raman Nambiar, after performing the last rites for his wife, headed for Tunjathu Ramanujar’s samadhi and sat in meditation. Then he continued his meditation at the Panjavarnam Cave in Palani. After Siddha Bhogar appeared in front of him and gave him an initiation, he left on a pilgrimage to the Himalayas in 1910. He returned from the Himalayas in 1913 as Gnana Pitha Shivananda Paramahansa. In 1914, he went on a pilgrimage throughout India. He was in Pavanagar, Peshawar, Tirusoor, Savakadu, and Kadathanadu before establishing the Samapanthi Bhojana Sangam in 1921. Gnana Pitha Shivananda came to Malaya in 1937 and set up the Siddha Vidhya Sangam in Setapak in Kuala Lumpur before returning back to India just before Malaya gained her independence.

Devotees of Maharajji shared many interesting facts on pilgrimages in MIRACLE OF LOVE. It is written,
Maharajji again and again sent us on specific pilgrimages. For us, it often felt as if we were merely being sent “away,” but perhaps there was more. … And Maharajji very much encouraged such pilgrimages through example and instruction.
While on one of his walks at the Kumba Mela site, Maharajji asked that his devotee pick up the dirt and smear it over him, justifying that “Saints have been coming here for thousands of years. Dada, take the dirt and touch your head.”
Many return a changed person after going on these pilgrimages.

The most compassionate father, sends his devotees on these pilgrimage for a reason. At other times Agathiyar comes knocking their doors to deliver his gifts. Ramalinga Adigal was gifted with sweet by Agathiyar who came knocking his door in the middle of night.

The Siddhas passed a majestic Rudraksha to Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal to be worshipped as a Shivalinga, at his doorstep at Kallar at first light a few days before Agathiyar's Jayanthi.

Jnana Jyothiamma was given gifts too by the Siddhas in the comfort of her home.
