SATHRU SAMHARA SIVA SUBRAMANIA TRISATHI HOMAM

The Sathru Samhara Siva Subramania Trisathi Homam lead by Saravanan Palanisamy of AVM was conducted successfully yesterday at the temple grounds of the Sri Mayuranathar Alayam, Sri Math Pamban Kumaraguruthasa Swamigal Thirukovil in Dengkil.

Originally we were rather apprehensive about conducting this puja, taking into regard the nature of this yagam. But it came as a great relief when Agathiyar blessed us through his Aasi Nadi reading for Saravanan Palanisamy yesterday morning, a day after the event. Agathiyar went on to state that Saravanan will perform puja at homes and in temples in the future and that Agathiyar himself would appear to bless all wherever he performs them.

"எந்த தளம் சென்று நீ வழிபாடு செய்தாலும், நான் அங்கே வந்து நின்று ஆசி வழங்கிவிட்டுத்தான் செல்வேன்!"

According to members of the temple committee, this puja, what was postponed several times for various reasons earlier, saw the light of the day when Saravanan agreed to perform it.

The Divine works in mysterious ways indeed.

On another note, after having run out of memory card space and battery power in my camera during the filming of the last event at the temple (See http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.my/2016/05/pamban-swamigal-peruvizha.html), I decided to make a small investment to purchase more space in the form of memory cards and get an additional battery. Along the way I decided to invest in a tripod too. And believe me, using a tripod makes a lot of difference in the quality of the video footage as you can see for yourself in the Sathru Samhara Siva Subramania Trisathi Homam video.

Besides enabling us to be in the film too, not to mention relieving our arms and hands of the tension and stress in trying to keep our hands steady and considering the weight of the camera too, the tripod is a must, if you want to ensure steady, sharp shots. Here is a wonderful video on "How to Choose the Right Tripod" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc0UrwrlusU&feature=youtu.be.
