Swami Govindan of the Malaysia Thaiveedu,  a disciple of Chitramuthu Adigal, blessed our yatra with a wonderful piece of advice in his very brief speech. Having questioned us on our intention in going on this yatra, Swami went on to explain beautifully the purpose of going on such a Theertha Yatra. Reminding us to remain focused on Erai and his blessings, throughout our spiritual tour and while at those places of worship, he asked us to return home with the thought that Erai was at all those places and most importantly in our very own hearts too.

Our first stop, Malaysia Thaiveedu

With these words of wisdom, we bid farewell to Swami and walked across to our next destination, the Sri Mahalakshmi Temple, just across the road.

After seeking the blessings of the Goddess, we boarded the bus and headed for Chitramuthu Adigal's guru's samadhi at the Sri Jaganatha Swamigal Sivalayam in Tapah.

Having chanted Jaganatha Swamigal's name and after lighting the lamp, we moved on to the Sri Shiva Subramaniam Temple, at Kampong Kepayang. Sri Pamban Maniam and Dr Tiagarajah of the Sri Mayuranathar Alayam, Srimath Pamban Kumaraguruthasa Thirukovil in Dengkil ushered us and generously provided the afternoon meals. They had conducted the Pamban Swamigal Peruvizha at this venue, earlier in the morning.

Moving on, we made our way slowly along a 4 km laterite path through the Sungai Siput Estate, arriving at the Sri Shiva Shanmugar Cave Temple. Making our way into the caves we are shown the presence of Siddhas on the faces of the rocks. The Gurukal or temple priest pointed out to the spot where Chitramuthu Adigal had meditated. The priests shared with us the secrets that these caves held, closely kept guarded.

It was a truly fulfilling pilgrimage of local temples, beautifully put together and organized by Sri Krishna and his team from AUM Holidays and with assistance from Sri Balachander Aiya and Saravanan Palanisamy. Credit should be given to Bala Chandran and his Thondu Seivom team for their much appreciated assistance while on the ground.

Credit has to be given to the devotees too, the chosen few, blessed to travel along on this spiritual yatra, giving us their fullest cooperation.

We received many positive feedback after the yatra in our Whatsapp group.
