MAKING THE DIFFERENCE

When Lord Muruga came through a Nadi reading in 2018, asking me to build him a temple, he told me that I would do it differently. Though he said that he would give me the place, finance, and send the people to do it, as I did not move, he subsequently revealed that he had tested me and proclaimed that my humble home was his temple, and claimed that henceforth, he would change my fate. It was then that I realized that devotion can melt the hearts of the divine and erase our predetermined or written fate, and rewrite our destiny anew. Looking back now, I see the words of Lord Muruga manifest. I came to see the many different ways and approaches we took in carrying out our worship that stood apart from the rest and the tried and trodden path.

Not being complacent with what I saw as worship in other centers, which merely engaged in charity and talks, I took to worship of the Siddhas per se, as Agathiyar had made the call in my very first Nadi reading in 2002. I compiled songs of praise to the Siddhas and began to sing these in the privacy of my home. Later in 2005, Agathiyar sent Tavayogi over to guide me on lighting the Homam or the fire pit. We saw him do and learned. In 2007, he had Tavayogi show us Yoga Asanas and Pranayama. We saw him do it and began to practice. Then Agathiyar had me commission his bronze statue, a replica of his granite statue at Agasthiyampalli. With his arrival came many souls whom Agathiyar sent over. What was an elaborate and lengthy puja that included carrying out the Homam and libation of the statue or Abhisegam, was simplified in many ways by the Siddhas and deities who came through selected devotees, and began to hijack and take over the puja. We saw and followed suit. We made the necessary changes. Over the past two years, as we began to observe Agathiyar's and Lobama's wedding date together with carrying out the annual puja, the Siddhas came to conduct the wedding for their Maha guru. We saw them do it and learned.

My home has become a place where the divine works its will, seeing selected seekers knock on its doors. While many return pleased and blessed, some return confused and, I presume, angry. But the work on them was done. The Siddhas use our venue, me and certain other devotees, as a conduit to save these souls. We are but a tool in their hands.

There were many who came and returned disappointed, too, as they saw no signage or structures put up, as in other movements. They only saw a home in a housing estate that did not stand out and announce itself. Then, some wanted to bring my home, which had by then taken the name Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM), to greater heights, calling for a round table talk and discussion on it as the corporate sectors plan the year's events. I was not keen.

I have come to know my purpose. I am to leave the doors to AVM open for those selected and sent over by him, where he can work on them further. I am to continue the rituals, although it is not for me, if and when a soul asks.

Although Agathiyar had told me that he would not release my identity, as such, I had to maintain a low profile. People only know me through this blog, the associated YouTube channel, and the many podcasts and writings uploaded on the net that began in the early years of my journey.
