AGATHIYAR MAKES HIS PRESENCE KNOWN PART 1

Ryan Irving wrote in to Siddha Heartbeat this morning,
Dear friend, Thank you for posting these (http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.com/2014/12/agathiyars-fame-spreads.html). Your site has led me to this very Agastya statue for my home, and I am very grateful for all of your sharing. I live in the US, and am trying to find a place I can order clothes like I have found you dressing Agastya in here. Can you share a link or reference? Thank you.
I would be very grateful if any of our readers could point Ryan to a retail store or an online store that sells clothing and apparels used to adorned statues of Hindu Gods in the USA.

Ryan is one of many devotees who wanted an idol of Agathiyar to be worshiped in the privacy of their homes. Vijayalakshmi Amma has a nine inch high bronze statue of Agathiyar in her home at Chennai, crafted by Varadaraj of the Bronze Creative in Swamimalai. Varadaraj is the craftsman who did a remarkable bronze statue of Agathiyar for Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia too. Varadaraj has made another 8 numbers for Malaysians too.

There is suddenly a pronounce revival of interest in the Siddhas, coinciding with the said arrival of the Siddha Era. What was once a closely knitted, and a secretive movement, kept exclusive to its members, with many codes and rules that one needed to comply with, has now with Agathiyar's blessings being brought out into the open through the emergence of many new temples, peedhams and ashrams for Agathiyar and the Siddhas. Agathiyar and the Siddhas have been churning out many revelations through numerous Nadi readings too.

Kallar ashram had grown over the years beyond what it could accommodate on the small hillock it is currently perched on. Agathiyar has given his blessing to move to a bigger and more spacious venue, some 2 kilometers away from its present site. Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal is in the midst of building a new ashram and is seeking donations towards it.

The management of the Agathiyar Ashram at the foot of Anuvavi Temple are in the process of installing statues for the 18 Siddhas too. A mail from them requesting for donations, "சித்தர்கள் அகத்தியர் சண்னதியில் பிரதிஸ்டை செய்யபடுகிறது தாங்கள் உதவி செய்கள்.

To add to Agathiyar's majesty, a 135 feet tall statue is to be erected on the banks of Tamiraparani River at Siddharkal Kottam, Pavanasam, at the foothills of Pothigai hills in Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu. See http://siddharkalkottam.org/

Chellapan Sairam's friend Ramesh is undertaking a venture to build a temple for Konganar too. Ramesh fills in the details on fb.

The famed Agathiyar temple at Agasthiyampalli in Vedharanyam is the very first Agathiyar temple as revealed by Agathiyar to Dr VM Jayapalan.

Agathiyar opened his left eye in this old and aged granite statue of his when Tavayogi and I were there. Agathiyar at AVM is a replica of Agathiyar from this famed temple.

Agathiyar blessed Tavayogi and me by opening both his eyes again at his sannadhi at the Kutraleshwarar Temple, shortly after he did a similar feat at Agasthiyampalli.

He conducts special prayers for Agathiyar in the woods of Courtallam too.

Agathiyar's footprint or Patham and the Vasikol in the woods of Courtallam are favorite spots of worship by his devotees.

When I passed a pair of wooden sandals or Patharatchai and a staff or Vaasikol to Surendaran Selvaratnam to worship, Agathiyar surprised us through Surendaran's Jeeva Nadi reading at Kallar, mentioning that he had moved into Surendaran's home in the form of the Vaasikol.

Agathiyar and Lobha Ma too are worshiped at the Sri Guru Mandalam Agasthyar Ashram at Theerthamalai under the patronage of Veeramanidaasan Aiya.

Agathiyar together with Lobha Ma bless visitors and devotees to Kalyana Theertam.

And of course Agathiyar stands majestically on Pothigai Peak waiting to receive and bless his children who make a grueling journey to reach his Divine spot amidst the clouds.

And for the faint-heart or old and disabled, not fit or able to scale the hills of Pothigai to reach Agathiyar on its peak, Agathiyar most graciously and compassionately receives them at numerous other temples in and around India too, choosing to come to these devotees rather than they come to him.

When Bala Chandran Gunasekaran was saddened that he could not see Agathiyar at Agasthiyampalli due to time constraints on one of his earlier trips to India, Agathiyar in his Nadi reading consoles him that he (Agathiyar) came to him (Bala) and had met him whilst in the midst of his pilgrimage.

We shall look at the many Agathiyar temples on the home front in Malaysia in the next post.

BHAGAWAN NITHYANANDA

Today on August 8, 1961 at exactly 10.43 am, Bhagawan Nithyananda left his mortal frame.

Srinath Raghavan recalls the events prior to him arriving mysteriously at the Samadhi Mandir of Bhagawan for the very first time.
A Reminiscence:
I had given the last paper of the Grade X exams and it had tanked like the previous ones before. I was out of the examination hall, way before the stipulated end time, as I had nothing more to write. Well, actually, more so because, I didn't know what to write. (So painfully blank I was.)
As it was the last paper and the last day of my School life, I had well informed my folks at home, that I would be coming late, as I had to bid farewell to all my friends. Out of the hall quite early, I decided to catch a State transport bus and go where it takes me to and come back in the next bus heading home.
I caught a cranky old bus, fully battered by the hands of time and Man, and after a couple of hours of back breaking journey, I finally landed in a far off sleepy village of Vasai, named Ganeshpuri. That was my very first time and it was to change my entire life thereon.
I still remember, the bus then dropped me right in front of a beautiful temple, which had a small pond nearby, exuding fumes of hot Sulphur. I got down, washed my feet and hands in the pond and went into the Samadhi Mandir of a great Saint, I knew nothing about.
The temple was relatively empty, as it was noon and a working day too, with the Board Exams still going on somewhere else. A huge beautiful golden statue of a smiling Saint welcomed me to come in, as I sat on the carpeted floor, tired from the travel. The temple was a simple and unassuming one, resting within it, the mortal remains of a Saint and Seer by the name of Baba Nithyananda.
I watched at the golden replica of the Saint and without my knowledge, tears began streaming my eyes. Maybe it was due to the guilt and disappointment of not performing at the Exams or it was an overwhelming feeling of something stirring down deep within, unknown to me.
Someone from the temple, came and offered me the holy Prasada of stirred and sweetened semolina, which I gladly partook, as I was hungry and did not have much cash on me, to afford a full meal. I remember getting up and going to the person who offered the prasada, entreating him to give me some more of it. He, apparently the caretaker of the Temple, smiled and gave me another handful, which I consumed immediately in gratitude. He came and sat near me and asked me where do I come from and was this my first time there. I replied in the affirmative and he took a small photo of Baba and gave it to me as a gift.
He said, "From now on, you are His responsibility! He has called you here and He shall take you where ever He deems fit. Your job is to simply follow Him faithfully."
I nodded my head in consent; and from then on, I am following where ever He leads me - Up the hills and down the valleys, without ever questioning his credibility.
Finally I reached home safely (pun intended) and also flunked my Grade X exams royally. But that one spurt of despondent adventure, led me to my Master unknowingly, who still walks with me in blood, bones and spirit.
Today is Master's dis-appearance day! Hence this humble and grateful reminiscence. Thank you.
A similar episode took place where Yuvaraj mysteriously drove his car into the compound of Jeganatha Swamigal's Samadhi temple in Tapah, Malaysia, one dark, rainy day.

Yuvaraj who was going through trying times in his career could not think straight. To find a relief and a solution, he spent most of his time at temples.

Once on his way back from his hometown his father asked him to stop over at Jeganathar's temple. With his life in turmoil and fear, and as it was dark and raining heavily, and with whatever little information he got from his father regarding the locality of the temple, he told himself he was sure to miss it. As he groped in the dark he realized he had driven into a premise that looked like a temple.

Jeganatha Swamigal had called Yuvaraj there, that day!

A UNIVERSAL PRAYER PART 3

The Enlightened Master still kept lighting 108 lamps for the well being of all of God's creation.

Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal keeps performing the Sarva Dosa Nivarana Maha Yagam for the well being of all and to appease Nature.

I was surprised to be asked by Agathiyar to perform rituals for the benefit of the world and its inhabitants.

I realize now Agathiyar and Erai are moving us to another level of understanding, from one identified with an individual soul to that of a larger expansion of Consciousness.

Bala Chandran Gunasekaran and his friends were mooted by the Divine to provide service to the unfortunate. They then started Thondu Seivom. Yesterday they spearheaded a universal prayer, a comprehensive and complete prayer. This was started with libation or Abhisegam to receive the grace of Lord Muruga; lighting 108 lamps for the save-keeping of all souls; followed by meditation for the welfare of all; and finally providing food or Annadhanam to appease their hunger.
