AVM/ AUM ILLAM
First he asked us to worship him. When we gave him a bath, cleaned him and dressed him up, garlanded him, fed him and chanted his name, his name sank into the deep recesses of our soul. Through these rituals Agathiyar brought us to adore him, bring out the love for him in us.
Lord Muruga brought us to see him and Agathiyar in the children around us.

If initially he brought us to see him in his statue thorough idol worship, soon he brought us to see him in other human beings. He brought us to feed the hungry and homeless. He brought us to see him in the eyes of the unfortunate souls. Then he brought us to feed the animals. We began to see him in the eyes of these creatures.
He slowly brought compassion that lay buried deep within us to the surface.
He has brought us to see him in the prapanjam and the prapanjam in him. Today we feel proud that we can look at a stone and see and feel him in it. When we see a human and an animal, we see him in it too.
