SIDDHAS DARSHAN PART 3/3

The blind gets God’s Darshan. Yes, the Jeeva Nadi Guru writes in NADI SOLLUM KATHAIGAL about how the most compassionate father, Agathiyar arranges for a blind lad to see God.

A 22-year-old lad walked all the way from Karnataka to Chennai, to seek Agathiyar’s blessing to make a pilgrimage to Nepal, Badrinath, Muktinath and bathe in the holy waters. Agathiyar blessed him mentioning that all that he wished for will materialize. Agathiyar added that exactly 45 days from then he would receive a flute. He shall learn to play the flute and with Goddess Saraswathi’s blessing, he will master the flute and make living playing tunes. After a year he shall have sufficient funds to take the train to fulfill his wishes. Agathiyar added that he will receive God's Darshan on the banks of the Kandagi river in Nepal in the early morning hours of a Thursday. Agathiyar assured him that he will be with him. After the Darshan, his life will change for good.

After 2 years 4 months, the lad came back to the Jeeva Nadi Guru. He reveals what had taken place during that time. While sleeping on the platform a young girl woke him up and placed a flute in his hands. She blessed him that he will master the flute in nine days and left immediately. The lad felt the presence of someone guiding him to play the flute. He put much effort into the practice as he was instructed mysteriously. As he was wondering who could be the one guiding him he saw a luminous figure that fitted the description of Agathiyar. The Muni was short with a dark beard, fair skin, a drinking vessel or kamandalam in his hand, and hair tied up neatly. The Muni spoke, mentioning that he was the one who tutored him. The lad believes it was Agathiyar himself. Then he asks the Muni, “Who had given the flute to him?” “Saraswathy,” answered the Muni. The lad said he had never seen the image of Agathiyan or Goddess Saraswathy as he was blind since birth. The lad added that he was blessed to have had the Darshan of God while bathing in the Kandagi river in Nepal.

In another episode from NADI SOLLUM KATHAIGAL, the Siddhas stage a play whereby mankind benefits.

“I make much money but can’t seem to keep some aside. All I earn is spent on medical expenses and purchasing medicine. Only Agathiyar can save my family,” with these words a man stood before Hanumathdasan.

“What are your medical problems,” questions the Jeeva Nadi Guru.

He began listing them out. “My mother’s kidney has failed. My father has diabetes. My eldest son has an eye problem. My daughter has asthma. My third child has a growth on her neck.”

He asked to see Agathiyar’s Jeeva Nadi for a single medicine that would cure all these problems; the medicine should not cost much and be affordable. His request surprised the Jeeva Nadi Guru.

“Could there be a single solution to all these people’s illnesses?”, wondered the Jeeva Nadi Guru.

But the man insisted that Agathiyar would help him as his family worshipped Agathiyar.

When the Jeeva Nadi Guru ask if he had looked into other options like Sidha medicine and astrology, he mentions he had seen them all but yet he could not find a solution and a way out of his karma.

In the Nadi, Agathiyar directs him to Bhogar, Korakar, and Tirumular as they have attained a high level in the medical field.

The man replies that he had seen Korakar’s Nadi. He had done a Yagam with the aid of Tirumular’s chakra. But there was only a slight improvement. These Nadi’s mentioned that all the relevant solutions were in Agathiyar’s Nadi.

He continued with another request, but his request astonished the Jeeva Nadi Guru. He said his aunt has had one of her breasts removed due to cancer and wanted Agathiyar to replace it. Seeing that his request had angered the Jeeva Nadi Guru, he was willing to drop his last requests. But he insisted Agathiyar reveal one medicine for all the illnesses mentioned earlier.

Agathiyar now reveals that the man who stood before the Jeeva Nadi Guru was Kollimalai Siddhan. Agathiyan reveals that Kollimalai Siddhan and he go back five generations. He had been under Agathiyar’s tutelage learning medicine from him. Agathiyar had made a promise to him in the last birth and he had come to claim it. “I shall reveal 128 herbs to be made as a herbal preparation for the good of mankind. The Jeeva Nadi Guru working with Agathiyar by not disclosing what had been mentioned in the Nadi, instead ask the man to jot down all the names of the herbs. As Agathiyar mentioned the names the man noted it down. Agathiyar mentioned the proportions and how they should be prepared and consumed. Agathiyar mentioned that it was a wonder drug for all illnesses.

The man thanked Agathiyan and asked to be excused for a moment. He left the note and walked out never to return.

When the Jeeva Nadi Guru sought Agathiyar for answers to the weird game that was played before him, Agathiyar replied that this is their play or Thiruvilaiyaadal for the benefit of mankind.

In another episode, Agathiyar seeks the home of a man to relieve him of his miseries.

Agathiyar out of the blues and to the Jeeva Nadi Guru’s surprise instructs the Jeeva Nadi Guru to passed the Jeeva Nadi that was in his possession to one Ramamurthy in Mylapore, Chennai to be kept for three days at his home. There were times in the past where Agathiyar had wanted the Nadi to be placed at certain temples for a short period but never before had he instructed to pass it to another individual. The Jeeva Nadi Guru was instructed to leave for Kabhaleeswarar temple immediately. He was asked to sit at a particular spot and facing a particular direction at the temple. Agathiyar mentioned how to identify Ramamurthy. Just as told Ramamurthy came along. The Jeeva Nadi Guru after confirming it was him passed the Nadi to Ramamurthy. Ramamurthy asked the Jeeva Nadi Guru to read from the Nadi, without any reaction all.

Agathiyar instructed Ramamurthy to keep the Nadi in his prayer room at home for three days and to worship it. He was to conduct a Yagam too. “It is very necessary and has to happen immediately too”, stressed Agathiyar to him with urgency. But Ramamurthy started giving reasons, not to accept the Nadi. “I have to leave for my village,” he started. But Agathiyar replied that he could take it along with him and added that whatever reason he had to leave for his village the job shall take place even without him leaving his home, the same night. Then Ramamurthy said he had accepted to perform a Chandi Homam. Agathiyar spells out the Chandi Homam Ramamurthy had planned to hold at his home would not take place. After a moment of thought, Ramamurthy started giving more excuses. He had a mother who was battling with life and a daughter who had separated from the husband at his home. He had a son who disliked him performing Homam at home. His son was also an atheist and he feared that his son might destroy the Nadi. Agathiyar refused to speak through the Nadi any further. The Jeeva Nadi Guru forcefully handed the Nadi to the priest. The Jeeva Nadi Guru was wandering why Agathiyar had wanted to pass the Nadi to Ramamurthy, a difficult character in the first place. The Jeeva Nadi Guru arranged to meet him at the same spot in three days' time. Ramamurthy reluctantly took the Nadi with him.

Although disappointed that he had to part with the Nadi and then to someone like Ramamurthy who did not appreciate or value the Jeeva Nadi, the Jeeva Nadi Guru reassured himself that there was always a reason behind Agathiyar’s doings.

Now that the Nadi was not with him, the Jeeva Nadi Guru decided to leave for Tirupathi. There he accidentally met Ramamurthy. Ramamurthy on seeing the Jeeva Nadi Guru fell at his feet.

Ramamurthy, after gathering himself and composing himself, reveals that if it was not for Agathiyar’s Nadi he would not be alive that day. Ramamurthy goes on to explain that he had come to Tirupathi by car to perform the Kalyana Ursavam as atonement for his daughter who was separated. The car he traveled in burst into flames, after one of the tire bursts and the car went out of control, hitting light posts. By Agathiyar’s grace, his family survived the crash and flames. They managed to perform the Kalyana Ursavam and were on their way out. He had performed the Chandi Homam before leaving for Tirupathi and again at that moment of conducting the Homam a fire broke out due to a short circuit and the wires caught fire. But again Agathiyar saved the day.

On the third day as arranged the Jeeva Nadi Guru was back at the Kabhaleeswarar temple to collect the Nadi from Ramamurthy. With Ramamurthy was his 40-year-old son, Manikanden. His son was a loafer but there was a drastic change in him, mentions Ramamurthy. Ramamurthy reveled at the doings of Agathiyar. Ramamurthy wept in joy saying that he and his family were indebted to Agathiyar. Only today he saw the light of the day after having suffered for the past 40 years. His mother who was bedridden could now walk. Manikanden fell at the Jeeva Nadi Guru’s feet and professed that from that moment onwards Agathiyar was his guru.

The Jeeva Nadi Guru had so many questions that Agathiyar had to answer. He read the Nadi at that spot.

Agathiyar reveals that Ramamurthy was his devotee in the last birth. He had done much service to Agathiyar, but due to his past karma, he had taken this birth and had gone through hell. Although faced with all kinds of torture and sufferings yet he kept chanting Lord Shiva’s mantra. Agathiyar reveals that he had been at Ramamurthy’s home chanting so that Ramamurthy’s mother should live longer. Lord Dhanvantri submitted to Agathiyar’s plea and his mother shall leave another 14 years to a ripe old age, disclosed Agathiyar.

Agathiyar adds that this was the first time he (Agathiyar) had gone to the home of a mortal to chant and seek that their lifespan should be extended. Agathiyar says she deserves it for she had prayed hard. Fate had planned that Ramamurthy should lose his life while on the way to perform the Kalyana Ursavam. Agathiyar had to step in, otherwise, the Jeeva Nadi would have been lost forever. Agathiyar went further to reveal that he had brought the very much sought out change in Ramamurthy’s son too. Agathiyar worked on Ramamurthy son- in- law too. “He will be a changed person in three months' time,” assured Agathiyar.

Agathiyar assures in the Nadi that in the future he (Agathiyar) will settle in many homes and help humanity.

SIDDHAS DARSHAN PART 2/3

There are many instances where Agathiyar and the Siddhas, including the Lord and Goddesses have appeared in mortal form to devotees, seekers, believers and non-believes as revealed to Hanumathdasan through the Jeeva Nadi. Here are some of these amazing episodes.

Episode 1

Once a villager came to see the Jeeva Nadi in possession of Hanumathdasan after hearing about it. He narrated the reason he wanted the Nadi read.

His wife was carrying their eight children. The doctors had advised against it saying that it would put her life at risk. To make matters worse his village was not easily accessible and did not have the necessary amenities.

The villager wanted to know from Agathiyar if his wife’s life was at risk.

Agathiyar reveals, “What the doctors said was right. There is likelihood that she would not survive this delivery.”

Agathiyar then reveals to Hanumathdasan, “He has faith on God. I have to help him out. He had saved many lives from drowning in his last birth. He had fasted and had climbed, a midst much difficulty, to my shrine at the Pothigai hills to perform milk Abhisegam, all out of devotion to me. He had saved a girl from drowning in the Pothigai waterfalls too. That is also the moment when he was pulled by the undercurrent and drowned. Due to his good deeds in the past life my wife Lobhamudra and I shall attend to his wife during her time of delivery.”

“Ask him to return immediately to his wife for she is in labor now,” directed Agathiyar.

However, he did not return to his village immediately.

After four days, he returned cheerfully to Hanumathdasan. He narrated what took place in his village home in his absence.

A couple had gone over to his house. They asked his seven children to leave while the woman attended to his wife. When the woman held his wife’s hands, his wife was relieved off her labor pain. His wife delivered a boy without any complications and both were fine. The man on his part chanted outside the villager’s home and later prepared some herbal medicines and passed it to the villager’s wife. They left without asking for anything in return.

Hanumathdasan realizes that it was Agathiyar and his wife Lobhamudra who went in aid of the man's wife and assisted her in delivering their eight child, thus saving both the lives!

Episode 2

A man came hurriedly to see Hanumathdasan. His wife had suddenly developed white spots all over her body. Doctors could not cure her disease nor bring relief to the worsening situation. Thinking she had contracted leprosy, she tried to take her life. Somebody mentioned that she had contracted this disease due to the ill-placed Vastu in her home. This worried the man and he wanted answers from Agathiyar.

Agathiyar revealed certain things to Hanumathdasan. Hanumathdasan enquired if the man had faith in the Nadi.

“I do not have faith. I have seen the Nadi in numerous places. They could only tell the past accurately but not the future. They mentioned many atonement or Parikaram and asked lots of money to carry out the atonement. With no other option left, I submitted to them but it did not help cure my wife until this day."

Hanumathdasan asked the man whether he would carry out the atonement if Agathiyar were to mention them in the Jeeva Nadi reading.

He replied, “I will do what I can but do not expect me to do all of them because I am sick of doing atonement!” The man continued, “People spoke about you and the Jeeva Nadi. I thought let this be the last attempt.”

Hanumathdasan could make out from his talk that if Agathiyar does not have a favorable answer for him, his wife and he would commit suicide”.

Agathiyar revealed about the man and his past life to Hanumathdasan. He was from a rich family. He was not spiritual. He goes against elders and parents. He was associated with an atheists group. He abused many people verbally. He had made them go bald and placed spots on their body and had them ride a donkey around the village thus humiliated them. Because of his misdoings, his wife in this birth has this disease.

The ever-compassionate father continues, “But since he has come to me and due to the merits of his parents, there is a possibility for his wife to recover. He needs to do charity and feed the poor. However, he still does not believe in God. He will not do as I say. He has come to test me”, and with that Agathiyar ended the reading.

Hanumathdasan related the atonement to him but refrained from telling him the last few lines of Agathiyar’s revelation in theNadi. The man promised to carry them out.

The atonement was a portion that he had to apply on his wife, which will help her recover and prevent from developing into leprosy. To collect the herbs, he had to go to the hills of Sathuragiri. He had to seek out a cave and then a particular tree beside the cave. He has to pick eighteen flowers from that tree plus several other herbs and eight other flowers; add oil to prepare the medicine in a specific way and apply this treatment for three months.

The man was not happy on hearing this. He questioned, “How am I to go to Sathuragiri? How am I to know which flower and herb to identify and collect?”

Hanumathdasan asked Agathiyar for a simpler solution.

Agathiyar replies, “If there was I would have revealed, but this man believes in nothing. Let him believe in me and start for Sathuragiri. I shall make sure he gets them.”

Agathiyar added, “Do as I say otherwise you cannot escape from your past Karma. You would also end up with the same kind of disease.” He turned back silently.

After 45 days, he appeared at Hanumathdasan’s home with his wife. He related what had happened. He went to Sathuragiri where somebody asked if Agathiyar had sent him. The stranger collected all the ingredients and handed them to him. He prepared the medicine and applied it on his wife. She was fully cured. Now he adorned the sacred ash or vibhuti and vermilion or kumkum too!

Episode 3

Once Agathiyar delivered a message in the Jeeva Nadi for Hanumathdasan to forewarn him of an incident that was to take place.

Agathiyar revealed, “A man shall approach you (Hanumathdasan) this evening at 6 pm. Although he looks like a vagabond, he is rich and a great devotee of Shiva too. However, he does not have peace of mind. As a reason he left his family. Certain miracles are about to take place in his life after he returns from here.”

Just as Agathiyar had fore warned in the Jeeva Nadi, a man appeared at Hanumathdasan’s house at 6 pm. He could hardly walk straight. The man enquired if Hanumathdasan was the Nadi reader. He then showed Hanumathdasan a small bottle which he held in his hand. Hanumathdasan glanced at the label on the bottle. It was a pesticide and was only half-full. He looks up at the man and realized his mouth was frothing. Hanumathdasan enquired what had happened to him. The man replied that he had consumed the poison. Hanumathdasan felt a chill go down his back. To the question as to why he came there, he replied that he wanted to see the Nadi.

“What? In this situation?” questioned Hanumathdasan.

“Why not? Would not Agathiyar answer?” was his reply.

When Hanumathdasan asked that he seek medical treatment first, he adamantly stood fixed and insisted the Nadi be read. No amount of coaxing would make him leave the place to seek medical aid.

When Hanumathdasan refused to read the Nadi for him, he said that he only wanted Hanumathdasan to find out from Agathiyar if he would survive or not?

“Just ask Agathiyar this question and I shall be on my way,” he said.

Hanumathdasan who was greatly disturbed made him sit down and rushed to have his bath and prayer before returning with the jeeva Nadi.

Agathiyar revealed a secret to Hanumathdasan.

“This man is a devotee of Shiva. He came up the hard way in life and made his riches in a very short time. He is married but does not have a child. The relatives used this issue to separate the couple. He left his home some time back without anyone’s knowledge. The families, thinking he had died, are in the midst of dividing his wealth amongst them. He had traveled to north India and now has sought me.”

Agathiyar added that he should live.

Hanumathdasan told the man that he should survive.

The man replied that he did not believe it and to Hanumathdasan’s horror consumed the remaining portion of the pesticide. “I have consumed the remaining poison, now how can I survive?” he argued.

He was out to prove Agathiyar wrong.

Hanumathdasan rushed to his prayer room and returned with Palani Navabasana Murugan Vibhuti Prasad and Sandhana Kappu Prasad that he had. He gave it to the man, asking him to consume the Prasad. The man did as asked and began to leave.

When Hanumathdasan reminded him to head for the hospital he replied, “Why should I? Agathiyar has said that I shall survive.”

Hanumathdasan could not sleep the whole night long, thinking about what had transpired that evening. He sat for prayers at 3 am and asked to know if the man was still alive.

Agathiyar in the Nadi replied that he was hale and alive. He also mentioned that the man was cured of his stomach ailment, which he had had for the past twenty years.

“Moving about as a vagabond subjected him to having a stomach ailment. He had sought medical attention but was not cured. He seeks out Siddhas in Kollimalai to relieve him. After taking these herbs, he was better but not fully cured. Finally, he came to me. He had strong faith on me. Being a devotee of Shiva I decided to cure him but he resorted to drinking the poison when he could not bear the stomach pains. The Navabasana Vibhuti Prasad and Sandhana Prasad that you gave him cured him completely. The Navabasana countered the poison and acted as an antidote for his stomach ailment. Otherwise it could have led to cancer.”

Just as Agathiyar ended his revelation in the Nadi, a group of people gatecrashes into Hanumathdasan’s home with weapons. They looked like hit men.

“Where is the vagabond who was here last night?” they questioned Hanumathdasan.

Hanumathdasan tried to calm them down. He invited what looked like their leader to take a sit. He questioned him as to why he was looking for the vagabond. The leader refused to divulge and kept asking about the vagabond’s whereabouts. He questioned Hanumathdasan the vagabond’s purpose and reason to come to him. Hanumathdasan narrated what took place the night before.

After listening to what had transpired the night before, the leader asks if Agathiyar could reveal all. He asked Hanumathdasan to find out from Agathiyar if the vagabond was alive. He revealed that he had to deliver the vagabond to someone in return for money. The leader turned to his followers and asked them to take a seat too.

Hanumathdasan took up the Nadi. Agathiyar revealed about the leader.

“He sought to search out for the man in return for a huge sum that would aid in his daughter’s eye operation,” said Agathiyar.

Hanumathdasan told the leader what Agathiyar had mentioned in the Nadi. The leader immediately fell at the feet of Hanumathdasan and started to cry. He acknowledged what Agathiyar had mentioned in the Nadi as being true.

Hanumathdasan put forward a proposal to the leader that if Agathiyar could show another way out of his predicament would the leader give up the idea of looking for the vagabond.

Agathiyar revealed more.

“In the past birth a kid had lost his eyesight due to the leader’s action. As a result, his daughter was losing her eyesight in this birth. Even if he resorted to carrying out what he had come for, his daughter would not regain her eyesight.”

Then Agathiyar stated three conditions if she was to see again. First: the leader was to change over a new leaf. Second: he was to seek out a Siddha in Kollimalai. Third: he was to serve in an orphanage until his life’s end. The leader agreed to do the first two but explained that he could not carry out the third because he was married to three wives and had to support them.

Agathiyar provided the remedy in the jeeva Nadi, “Nethira Thosa Nivarthi Puspam, a flower that bloomed once in three years in Kollimalai. If its juice is applied to the eyes and on the head daily, his daughter would regain her eyesight.”

Agathiyar added that a Siddha at Kollimalai should provide for this unique and rare flower.

“Carry out this treatment for ninety days. She will regain her eyesight. She would not need to be operated on. Leave for Kollimalai immediately”, instructed Agathiyar.

Hearing this followers objected to him leaving for Kollimalai before finishing their ‘business’ since they had already received payment for it.

The leader motioned one of his followers to come forward to seek the Nadi too. Agathiyar revealed about him too. He too was asked to seek out the Siddha in Kollimalai for a remedy for his wife’s ailment. Hearing this follower too began to cry. He acknowledged that what Agathiyar had revealed in the jeeva Nadi was the truth.

Both of them left immediately for Kollimalai.

Hanumathdasan was keen to find out what had happened to the vagabond and those hit men.

Agathiyar answered, “The vagabond who left the family and ventured to the north had made numerous reports to the police regarding his safety. That is how the family came to know that he was still alive. One of the family members engaged the hit men to ‘finish’ him off. Now the family had repented and took him in. The one who sent out the hit men is in a very bad shape in the hospital.”

After some time one of the hit men arrived at Hanumathdasan’s door with his family. They fell at the feet of Hanumathdasan. This man’s wife had recovered fully. Hanumathdasan was told that the other man’s daughter too was cured and her father took up Siddha medicine, became a practitioner, and took it upon himself to help all those who were in the same predicament.

He narrated what had taken place in Kollimalai. After looking around the Kollimalai hills for the Siddha in vain, the men laid down to rest under a tree. Suddenly an old man tapped one of them and asked him by his name. The hit men were amazed how this stranger knew their names and how he identified them correctly. He asked both of them to follow. The old man then led them to a hut. He told both the men respectively that the wife and daughter should be cured with the medicine that he was giving them. He handed one of them an extract of a plant in a bottle to apply on the eyes of his daughter and assured him that she would begin to see in thirty days. He asked him to come back for more if needed. To the other he handed an herbal preparation in a powder form to be taken with honey. His wife’s heart problem will be cured in twenty-seven days, the old man assured him. The men handed him some money, which he refused to accept saying that the money was taken to ‘finish’ off someone and that he did not want ‘stained’ money. He went into the hut and did not come out for a long time. The men peeked into the hut but there was no one. They waited awhile but he did not turn up. They eventually returned home. Hanumathdasan asked if they went back to the Siddha again. He replied that they went to Kollimalai again but there was no hut at that spot and there was no Siddha too. When they asked those who frequented Kollimalai, about the Siddha and his hut, they were told that they had not come across any hut or Siddha there.

The men were ready to fulfill Agathiyar’s remaining directives. Agathiyar directed them to recite the Surya Mantra on Sundays for six weeks and assured them that on the sixth week they should both land a job. They will be required to part with a portion of their wages each month, which was to be given to an orphanage to feed its children.

They left Hanumathdasan thanking him, Agathiyar and the Jeeva Nadi. Hanumathdasan approached Agathiyar to find out who the Siddha was.

“That was my disciple Siddha Bhogar. He carried out my wishes and had dispersed the medicine to both of them personally”, came the reply in the Nadi.

Agathiyar added, “Bhogar still lives and moves around in Kollimalai. If one prays to Bhogar for assistance, he shall take the form of a Siddha practitioner and treat them, cure their illnesses and save them. The other Siddhas in Kollimalai are his disciples and their treatment is effective too.”

To another question from Hanumathdasan, “How can one identify Bhogar?”Agathiyar explains,

“Bhogar shall have a twinkle in his eyes. He shall emit the aroma of Basil or Tulasi herb or Jawathu essence sacred ash or Vibhuti.”

One day the vagabond, who left his family and ventured into north India, and later challenged Agathiyar by drinking poison, and eventually returned to his family, stood in front of Hanumathdasan with his family. He had survived the encounter with the poison. He was reunited with his family who had repented for their misdeeds towards him. He had willingly donated a third of his property to an orphanage.

Episode 4

A devotee of Agathiyar who had received Agathiyar’s blessings in the jeeva Nadi before going to Dubai called Hanumathdasan on the second day of his arrival in Dubai. He informed Hanumathdasan that he had lost his travel documents and cash. He only realized it was missing when he was at a counter to pay for the stuff that he had purchased. He wanted to know from Agathiyar if he would get back his documents and cash.

Hanumathdasan looked into the Nadi if Agathiyar had an answer for him.

“He shall get back what he lost. Ask him to pray to his kuladeivam and Puttaparthi mainthan. This lad had taken Satya Sai Baba as his Guru and frequented Puttaparthi helping with the chores. He has diligently followed Agathiyar’s Nadi. He is a true devotee.”

So why was he in this predicament? Hanumathdasan seek answers from Agathiyar on his behalf.

Agathiyar reveals, “This lad had promised to conduct Garuda Utsavam at the temple of his kuladeivam. Even after eight years, he had not carried out his promise. He had also promised to feed 100 people at Puttaparthi if he landed the job in Dubai. However, in his haste to leave for Dubai, he did not do as promised. If he had done as promised he would not have landed himself into this trouble.”

Hanumathdasan waited for the lad’s call from Dubai. The lad called again. When Hanumathdasan mentioned what was revealed in the jeeva Nadi, the lad recalled his promises and promised to fulfill them once he was back home. He added that he had just received a call from the shopping outlet. The shopkeeper had in his possession the lad’s passport, visa and wallet. He told Hanumathdasan that he would call again once he took possession of them.

After half an hour, he called back. He narrated what had transpired. Someone came to the shopping outlet and had handed over his documents. The lad was puzzled because the description given by the shopkeeper was that of Agathiyar! The lad immediately took out a photo of Agathiyar that he always carried along in his pocket. The shopkeeper acknowledged that it was Agathiyar who handed the documents!

Hanumathdasan too has had his fair share of Darshan with the Gods and Siddhas, personally.

Episode 5

Once Hanumathdasan was asked by Agathiyar in the Jeeva Nadi to go to Bhadrachalam [1] where he would have the privilege of receiving Sri Rama’s vision. However, as he entered Sri Rama’s temple a heavy downpour began. The continuous rain caused the Godavari river to overflow and flood the temple [2] grounds. As it rained continuously, the water level kept rising each minute. It looked like it would take at least ten days for the flood waters to subside. The houses and shops located around the temple were already submerged to hip level too.

While he sat at the temple pondering how to make his way home, he seeks the Jeeva Nadi for a solution. What Agathiyar told him mystified him.

Agathiyar revealed how Ramadas [3], a great devotee of Sri Rama had stolen from the coffers of the Government to erect this temple. Due to the act of his, Ramadas was convicted and jailed. Sri Rama visited his devotee Ramadas in jail. Agathiyar revealed that this day coincided with Sri Rama’s visit to Ramadas and wanted him too to get Sri Rama’s Darshan on this day.

He asked Hanumathdasan to close his eyes and meditate immediately since Sri Rama will appear in the inner sanctum in thirty-six minutes or 1 ½ Naaligai where Hanumathdasan will get to see Sri Rama for twenty-four minutes or a Naaligai. Agathiyar explained further that Sri Rama would come down the temple steps to worship with flowers and show the Deepa Arati to the river Godavari. Agathiyar mentioned that Hanumathdasan would see Sri Rama’s Darshan in his meditation. After the worship of Godavari, the floodwaters will subside in four hours. Then Hanumathdasan could leave for town to board his transport to return home.

Amazingly just as Agathiyar had mention, exactly at 1 ½ Naaligai the temple doors opened. The scent of rare flowers was in the air. Chanting of Mantra was heard. Hanumathdasan sensed someone enter the inner sanctum and later reappear from the inner sanctum followed by another three figures. They all stood on the edge of Godavari and worshiped her. After twenty-four minutes, the vision disappeared.

Hanumathdasan opened his eyes only to see a temple authority standing in front of him. The man questioned Hanumathdasan if someone had entered the inner sanctum. He explained that the fruits and milk had been partaken!
