PRAYERS & RECEIVING AGATHIYAR'S GRACE

My mother used to share stories about God's and sadhu's visits to our homes. She also used to say that at one time way back in the past animals could talk to humans. As these animals could see God, these animals knew and revealed God's every movement to man and their masters. It was then that God decided to remove their ability to speak.

When I came into the Siddha path and began worshiping Agathiyar, my mother prayed to Agathiyar that I should drop my anger. Agathiyar did listen to her prayer for he mentioned this to me in one of my regular Nadi readings!

Betty J Eadie, who had a near-death experience, in her book EMBRACED BY THE LIGHT, published by Bantam Books, 1992 describes the Mother's Love. She was watching the earth from the heavens. She saw beacons of light of various intensities, from mere sparks to the largest laser beams, shoot up from the earth towards space. She was told these were prayers of earth dwellers. At the same time, she witnessed angels responding to these prayers, organizing themselves and helping out, and were themselves filled with joy, in being able to assist. She says these angels responded to the brightest source of light (the largest prayers) and eventually moving on to the lesser, helping every individual who prayed for assistance. She observed that insincere prayers that did not emit much light and hardly had any power was not heard. Prayers with an immediate urgency and those prayers done for others are immediately visible and attended to. She was told there was no greater prayer than that of a Mother for her children which is the purest, done with intensity and done out of desperation. The Mother has the ability to implore the Lord for her child's sake.

That is the soul of the MOTHER. God listens to all MOTHERS and grants their wishes.

When I was in Kallar in 2005, Mataji, then a housewife and known as Sarojini, woke up early, fetched the water in the dark and boiled it so that my brother and I could have a bath before we returned to Malaysia. I saw the humbleness, patience, and love in her then. Later she adorned the kaavi. She has stood by Tavayogi all these years looking into the needs and welfare of Tavayogi, the residents at the ashram and all visitors.

Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal, the all-knowing guru, shuns publicity and chooses to remain away from the limelight. He rarely speaks, but when he does he has a message for us.

As my thoughts rush back to the very first moment I laid eyes on this bespectacled monk in kaavi, I am filled with gratitude to Agathiyar for sending him to Malaysia. He invited me to his ashram, which I did visit shortly after he returned to India. During my stay at Kallar, Tavayogi brought me to numerous caves and temple samadhis of Siddhas which was an eye-opener and a new experience for me.

As I write now, it brings back fond memories of my stay at Kallar and my second pilgrimage to India.

Earlier in 2003  I was lead to my very first guru Supramania Swami of Tiruvannamalai, a Gnani.

Then comes along Jnana Jyothi Amma who will bring this path or marga to an even larger audience. With her mastery of English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil, and the availability of the internet, all is set to bring this marga to the nooks and corners of the world.

The Siddhas too have gone IT savvy!

My family has been supportive of my ventures and gained Tavayogi's respect and praise when they sat and conducted prayers at Kallar during our recent trip in October of 2013.

Nadi Guru Ramesh had been a medium to tap into the world of Siddhas through the many Nadi readings he had graciously provided. The least I could do for him is to advertise his services.

PRAYERS PART 5/5

My daughter has fully recovered from dengue fever. I had posted about it at http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.com/2014/02/prayers.html. I had mentioned that the ever compassionate father Agathiyar had taken care of his child well.

"And finally to top it all up, we did lots of prayers, individually and jointly too, for her fast recovery. Prayers of Tavayogi, Mataji, Gnana Jyothi Amma, and our parents were heard by God. With good care from the nurses and doctors and these prayers she is back on her feet and has attended school today."

Today Surendaran Selvaratnam turned up at my home with the transcribing of the Jeeva Nadi reading he had had in Kallar recently. Suren who was attached in Bangkok for a short stint decided to seek the Nadi at Kallar. Mataji Sarojini Ammaiyaar gave him an appointment to have his Jeeva Nadi read on 15.2.2014. 

Suren flew to Chennai on 14.2.2014 and subsequently took a train to Coimbatore, and boarded a bus to Methupalaiyam and another to Kallar. He arrived just in time to receive the prasad after the Full Moon prayers were over. The next day he was scheduled to read the Nadi first. Tavayogi read the Jeeva Nadi while Mataji noted it. He was very pleased with the reading. 

As I read his transcribe I was speechless for a few moments trying to digests what was said in it. Agathiyar most graciously spoke about my daughter and her recovery in Suren's Jeeva Nadi reading! It came as a surprise to us.

Agathiyar says he had come with Tirumular to the hospital and treated her! He went to the extent to explain what they did to make my daughter recover! They made her platelet rise! 

Indeed our prayers were answered!

I had read about Agathiyar coming to the aid of his devotees in Velayutham Karthikeyan's blog SITHTHAN ARUL and Amarar Hanumathdasan's NAADI SOLLUM KATHAIGAL. I read these revelations and was amazed at how Agathiyar saved the lives of his devotees. 

The story that still lingers in my mind is how Agathiyar and Lopamudra went to deliver a child of a villager, thus changing the fate of the mother and child destined not to survive the delivery. Another story was how Bhogar treated a child who was going blind and other women who had stomach ailments at Kollimalai. On the local front, a devotee in Malaysia was spared his life when his kin and friends did a joint prayer or kuthuprathanai seeking Agathiyar's grace. AGATHIYAR'S GRACE PART 2/2

As I was penning the previous post a moment ago, I received a mail from Jnana Jyothi Amma on Kathirgamam in Sri Lanka.

My late father used to talk about this mysterious stalam or temple. In his days when he was looking after his business concerns in Ceylon, he tells me there was no statue to adore here. A curtain, when drawn aside, will reveal nothing else but just the four sides of the room. According to him if people cut off their ears, which they do at times, their ears almost immediately get attached back on them.

"Dr.Krishnan of Thiruppugazh Sangam introduced me to Patrick, a month back. I have spoken to Partick and still in touch with him .When Krishnan and the other members told me Patrick's connection with Lord Muruga ..... Speaking about Jnana Jyothi Amma, she was the reason for me to 'go on the air'. She was introduced to me as Molly Menon. On June 30, 2011, she mailed me her first mail, introducing herself.

Greetings to you Sir, I am Mrs Menon. I was reading an article from Agasthiar.com when one link led to another and then to another another and finally saw this link ........ My travels with Supramania SWAMY. This interested me a lot as I had for a very long time trying to find out visit Saint Agasthiar's cave. I read all the articles posted on Sadhguru Venkataraman's site.

What is this person who is mentioned as Tavayogi. Is he a guide or an Enlightened Master. Then I saw this link which shows ...."email me ". Hence I thought I would email and find out the details of all that is mentioned here. I would also like to know who shanmugam.avadaiyappa@yahoo.com is.

Hello Mr. Shanmugam, Thank you very much for your prompt reply and the info. I live in the United States and am planning a trip to India around July. God willing I will try and visit Tavayogi's ashram in Kallar, Kovai. Once again thank you for the information.

God willed and she did make that journey to Kallar that changed her forever. 'Kallar' exposed her past, showed her who she was and set her on a new mission.

 On July 1st, 2011 we exchanged our SKYPE ID and thus started a beautiful relationship.

I happened to rather spontaneously be guided to this site. In fact I feel more drawn towards Saint Agasthiyar. This urge/ longing to visit the paces where the Noble Saint had threaded started growing inside me for a couple of months. Whatever snippets I could get I started collecting from the internet. This was how I accidentally stumbled upon the previous site through which I was able exactly see and feel what I was searching for. But you have mentioned you had your Nadi read and it was mentioned there for you that you would meet Tavayogi.

I did not have any nadi reading read for me. May be since I am an ardent devotee of SHIRDI SAI BABA, HE must have guide me to this site where I was able to read about your meeting with Tavayogi and also lucky to get his contact number from you.

I spoke to Tavayogi on Friday around late evening (PST). H e said that he would take me to all the caves once I come to India.

She herself was an adapt and master craftsman directing Dr. Ram Subramaniam of Tirunelveli, Surendran Selvarathnam and Bala Chandran of Malaysia, Mathi Vanan of Chennai and others on capturing the precious moments where Agathiyar created miracles. All these people came together to piece together these videos that we believe have helped spread the fame of Agathiyar and the Siddhas.

My heart ached when I saw this. Once upon a time, a Place where one could feel the Divine presence of Lord Shiv .. Hinduism at it's Pinnacle could be felt here.

What all were Visualized/ Perceived as myths, were found to be true here ..... Right from the Gods to the Sages/ Saints/ Siddhars.

I had been here on two occasions. First time was with my husband, mother in law and his sisters and my son, to immerse his daddy's ashes into the Ganges.(1980). Son was just 4 yrs old. Second time (2008) ALL ALONE to IMMERSE MY HUSBANDS ASHES apart from Dhanishkodi. Can you even Imagine what will be my state of mind when I see these pics and remember both the Occasions. Agathiyan has made me finish my Karma Yoga in fullest completion.

She recounts the day Sadhu Krishnaveni Amma of Kalyana Theertam left her mortal body.

I was carrying the Kalasam for the Installation of a Diety .... The Kaval Deivam Of the Siddhas and on the other side of the fence, Venkatesh Swami was carrying the Earthen pot round Sadhu Amma's body ..... A soul so dear to the Adi Muni Agasthya ....... on April 17th 2011, Chitra Pournami. That day My Sariya and Kiriya got over. At Kallar and Kalyaan Theerthem ... my yog started .. proceeding into jnana ........ AGATHIYAN MADE ME COMPLETE .... East meets West ... Me and Venkatesh Swamy, at Kalyana Theertham after one year ... only for a New Chapter to begin.. I am at the Evening of my life .... in the Material World ...... and at the Dawn of my life in the Spiritual World ... with Agathiyan leading me.....'Lead kindly Light..amidst the encircling Gloom....Lead thou me on..I'm in the dark and far far away from HOME......Lead thou me on.......

Excerpts from the book Vallalar is Arutperumjothi.

Our Individual soul has the Presence of Arutperumjothi, which just like the DEITIES, that have been Ordained to perform certain tasks and functions. However little do we Realize that, when Arutperumjothi fully manifests in our Soul completely and fully, the body becomes Immortal and we can reach a Spiritual state even higher than of the ORDAINED DEITIES. Through the Descent of Divinity into us, we can and will become part and parcel of the many Existent spiritual states.

MY UNDERSTANDING.

Now , I have a very clear picture of the roles ANGALIAMMA AND KARUPETTA played in my spiritual journey. They were Ordained to do these acts or functions to help me proceed, as Agathiyan mentioned in my Nadi. When I was lost in a MAZE, (not even knowing I was lost), My father Agathiyan, led me step by step to reach HIS HOME .. POTHIGAI and showed me HIS PRESENCE. The DEITIES were Ordained by Arutperumjothi ... my father Agathiyar, who showed the world that HE IS INDEED ARUTPERUMJOTHI and they guided me to complete the Chariya and Kriya stages in the Bhakthi side and along with Sai Baba of Shirdi, led to Yog state.

Now Agathiayan will lead /guide me to the Gnana stage .... .long long way to go. Just as the DEITIES were doing their ordained tasks and functions, Sai Baba was guiding me throughout my Life's Journey. 

I shall now relate to you a conversation that took place between Tavayogi and my self, when I was at Kallar in Oct 2011 .... the day after I received my Dheeksha. He was receiving numerous calls that day and he turned to me and said thus,"Why is it Saibaba is sending all HIS devotees over here (Kallar)?" 

I asked him which Sai Baba? He replied ... Shirdi Sai Baba. Now this clearly shows the connection between Agathiyan and Saibaba. This was further Answered by Venkatesh Swamy to me while I was at Kalyana Theertham. He said that he, along with Sadhu Krishnaveni Amma had seen Sai Baba with Agathiyan number of times at Kalyana Theertham. He further added that Sadhu Amma had told him , that during her early days at Pothigai, when she had no roof of her own and used to live in the cave above Kalyana Theertam, it was Sai Baba who had appeared to her in HIS physical form and gave her some Sarees and some sheets to cover herself. He showed me the Sarees given by Sai Baba. Therefore every soul I had met so far in my Journey was sent/ ordained by Agathiayan .. to lead /guide me.. This is my Understanding NOW.  A clear Explanation ... Am happy to know my path how it progressed.

She writes further,

Vallalar says there are seven screens or curtains preventing us from being able to see the Graceful light and these screens are to be removed one by one and it can be ...... with the Grace of the Divine, when , one attains Spiritual Maturity.We will be able to see the screens in our forehead as we progress Spiritually. These seven screens have been placed by Arutperum Jyothi.

1)The Black Screen.This is the first and the most difficult screen to remove.Once removed, the other screens will be able to fall apart. This screen hides the Sovereignity of Arutperum Jyothi's Grace light with the power of the great 'maya' or the Illusionary nature of the world.

2)The Blue Screen.This is the second screen. While the black curtain is to veil or hide the Cosmic Soul, the blue curtain is to hide the Individual Soul. 

3)The Green Screen,The third screen is the green screen. This screen hides the Cosmic Space representing Divine Energy. Purification of the Mind's faculties and that of the Soul will tear down this curtain.

4)The Red Screen.The Fourth screen is the red screen. This screen is there to hide the space of mystic Powers and at the Appropriate time it is removed.

5)The Golden Screen,The Golden screen is the fifth screen. This hides the real matters worthy of human pursuits as a result, we tend to run after Illusionary ones and when this curtain is removed we will be able to perceive the Real.

6)The White Screen.This is the sixth screen. This curtain hides the space or abode of the Absolute Truth. This being the Original Energy.

7)The Screen of Several Colour.The seventh screen is the screen of Mixed Colour. It veils all experiences of the Aspirant.
By the Grace of the Ultimate Divine, all the above mentioned Screens or curtains can be Removed one by one ..... Aum.

She speaks passionately of so many things among them her many visits to India's temples.

Yes. I had been here ... rather we as a family with Shankar, had been to Kandha Kotam and Vadivudai Amman Temple number of times about 25 years back. Son was a teenager ... in school.. Every purnima we used to conduct tender coconut water Abhishegam to Amma and visit Vallalar's home .... I did not have even an iota of thought .. nor was it mentioned to me by Shankar...that after a number of years ... me to, would be receiving the same Jyothi that Vallalar had Received.

Even, Last year on my hubby's death aniiversary, I had been to Vadivudai Amma's temple .... to feed the cows with Agathy Keerai ...... a ritual performed after Tarpanam ...which Amma asked me to perform. Had been to Tiruvotriyur also a number of times with Shankar and family ..... to conduct Abhisegam to Siva on Atham Star. That's what I keep Repeating that Shankar is my Mortal Guru and Agathiyar .... My Athma Guru...

All the Devis and Devans and Mahans were with me, guiding me and following me right from BIRTH ....... I realized this after my connection with Agathiyan .... To Quote Vallalar .... .My Spiritual journey has been thus ....."From the Forms to the Formless ... .Jyothi ..... Arut Perum Jyothi." I was totally unaware of all these happenings in my life .I was performing my duties as a wife and Mother .... while the Divine was performing their duties on me .... I was not at all aware that, I ... a Disciple .... was ready to receive the Jyothi...

But Agathiyan .. my Father gave it to me when HE knew I was ready to Receive the "Light ". With tears in my eyes, I pronounce these words ...."In my case ... the SEEKER BECAME THE SOUGHT,'' Agathiyan took me into HIS fold and made me "COMPLETE".... a Desire-less Object. All I can say is THUS ...... Om Sri, Mahasidhargale, Mahangale, Maharishigale, Mahayogigale, Mahamunivargale, Mahadevargale ........ THIRUVADIGAL POTRI POTRI .

AGATHIYAR'S GRACE PART 1/2

Agathiyar - God, The Heavenly Father, Mother, Guru, Companion - all merged into one. 

Agathiyar - Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganapathy, Lord Muruga, Goddess Ambal - all merged into one. 

Agathiyar - Ramalinga Adigal, 64 Peedhaadhipathigal, 63 Nayanmar, 18 Siddhas, 9 (Nava) Nathargal, 7 (Sapta) Rishis - all merged into one.

As I take a moment to reflect on Agathiyar and his Grace, many instances and happenings come to my mind. My family and I are indeed blessed to make the acquaintance of one so compassionate and loving as Agathiyar.

My journey on the path of the Siddhas started after the very first Kaanda Nadi reading in 2002. Although I was brought up in a moderately religious family, was into temple worship and having frequented many temples in Malaysia, having met some saints and dignitaries who were invited to these temples, my spiritual endeavors ended there. There was no seeking, in the spiritual sense. Then there was a period where I was engaged in aggressive worship in the early morning hours and at sunset in the comfort of my home. One fine day all these came to an end too only to be revived again in 2001 after a very long lapse.

As I put my thoughts on paper, I am greatly amazed at the number of souls who had come into my life and helped me in one way or another, molding me and guiding me.

As a child, my father used to pull me aside and tell me the story of the creation of the world; and stories of the Hindu Gods and Goddesses.  My father hailed from India while my mother was Malaysian. My father was from Kilasevalpatti in Pudukkottai district. As he was from the Chettiar clan, he traveled to Burma, Ceylon, Singapore and finally settled in Malaya, attending to his money lending business and properties.

He had wonderful stories to tell. Some are still fresh in my mind.

One frightful incident took place as he was making a pilgrimage on foot to Palani from his home. In those days there was no transport and he had to walk for days to reach Palani. He was saved from a pack of wild dogs ready to pounce on him by a bee sent by Lord Muruga. The single bee came from nowhere and entered the ear of one of the dogs which made the dog scamper away in pain and had the rest of the pack follow suite. He believed Lord Muruga of Palani saved him that day.

My father had visited and paid his respects to Ramana Maharishi of Tiruvannamalai too.

He also mentioned having stayed at an ashram and attending to the needs of the Guru for some time only to be told by the Guru to return to Malaysia and fulfill his responsibilities to his family.

My father passed away peacefully in 1991 on my mothers lap. He was a very charitable man, having given away his properties to friends and kin. He never took us to India, neither did we have the urge to visit India then.

When I went to India the first time in 2003, I traveled to my fathers village. Deva, my appointed driver, was the one who initiated the idea for this visit. This visit was not on the itinerary initially. As I had time on my hands I decided to heed Deva's words. We drove from Trichy to Kilasevalpatti. But for reasons unknown I was not able to meet up with my relatives as there was a funeral taking place at the moment of my arrival. I stopped over, three doors away, at a home to enquire and was told that my cousin had passed away the night before.

As I had yet to complete my 14 day pilgrimage, I abstained from joining in the funeral missing the rare opportunity to meet up with family and relatives gathered that day. I took a couple of shots of the street and my father's home before heading back to Trichy.

Ram Dass had been carrying a doubt if at all his guru had swallowed the LSD pills or if he had thrown them back over his shoulders. After three years he returns to his guru where his guru does the same feat again.

I just read a beautiful post by Hiro Bachani on FB.

There is a story that a yogi once sat on a rock for ten years praying to God to appear before him. 

Finally, God appeared in the form of Vishnu. God spoke to the yogi and offered him any boon he would like. 

The yogi replied that he would like justice. 

Vishnu answered that he had many better things to offer that would be much more enjoyable. 

The yogi was adamant that he wanted only justice. 

Finally, in frustration, Vishnu said: “All right, may the rock now sit on you for ten years.”

Frightening, right, if God was to deem justice is done!

On a lighter tone, I had read that an adult apprehended a young lad who was torturing a toad. The man told the boy to refrain from hurting the amphibian. He started to talk about the boy's action and the possible effects on his next birth. He explained to the boy the law of karma - having to pay for one's deeds.

The boy listened out and finally spoke. "Yes, I know. In my last birth, I was a toad and he (the toad) had tortured me!"

The boy cunningly replied that it was payback time.

Agathiyar's revelation to the Jeeva Nadi Guru through the Jeeva Nadi, as usual, is posted by Velayudham Karthikeyan every Thursday. On 13 February 2014, he carried another post where Agathiyar says Bhakti or devotion does not come easy to everyone.

Not everybody can sit to conduct prayers, says Agathiyar. For those for whom it is not possible, Agathiyar says there is a simple option where taking a dip in the Holy waters will remove one's sins and past deeds or karma.

In NARADA BHAKTI SUTRAS authored by Sage Narada and translated by Swami Tyagisananda for Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madras, it is written thus:

"Supreme Divine Love, together with the steps leading to it, is called Bhakti."

The Publisher in the Preface to the book explains that there are two stages to Bhakti: Apara Bhakti or the pre-mature stage and Para Bhakti or mature stage.

Apara Bhakti is further divided into Gauna Bhakti, a preparatory stage of discipline and Mukya Bhakti or Ekanta Bhakti, an advance stage resulting from the practice of the preparatory stage of discipline. Apara Bhakti involves effort and the result is gradually achieved. It is a process. As one upholds and fulfills the duties with discipline expected of one and advances in the Gauna Bhakti stage, he steps into the Mukya Bhakti stage where Divine Grace naturally flows into the devotees' heart. The publisher writes, "This stage prepares the mind of the devotee fully and perfectly for the final realization, and God then blesses him with divine illumination instantaneously."

Mukya Bhakti then transforms into Para Bhakti - "experience of unsurpassed bliss and illumination as in Self Realization or God-Realization (Liberation in Life or Perfect Gnosis)."

It is then that one becomes a Gnani.

This realization is then "expressed through one's moods, thoughts, words, and deeds."

In THE CONCEPT OF BHAKTI, Professor L Venkatarathnam Endowment Lectures published by P.Thirugnanasambandhan for the University of Madras, it is said that it requires ardent faith and love, Sraddha or belief and Bhakti for one to find God. The author says Bhakti begins in wonder, a sense of awe at seeing and witnessing all of God's creations that gradually develops into admiration for the creator, and moving up to gratitude and finally reverence of him. He cites the Alwars and Nayanmars as exemplary models, "soaked in the love of the personality of God and his superhuman deeds."

Wonder, awe, love and faith drive them to a state of total surrender, "seeking God for its own sake."

Bhakti is that state of supple mind derived from many hours of sadhana attuned to God.

"Men who have acquired merits in their previous birth come to feel dissatisfied and helpless in finding themselves tossed about a midst such unending alteration of pleasure and pain. Then there arises in him sraddha or belief that there is a Moral Governor of the world who regulates the destinies of souls according to the  immutable laws of karma. Gradually he ceases to perform prohibited acts and begins to perform more and more acts prescribed. Even the act that he performs he learns to do without attachment to the fruit which they may produce but in a spirit of dedication. This is karma yoga that ends in purification of the mind"

The devotee then moves on to performing sadhanas or means of accomplishment, including sadhu seva or worship of pious men and eventually gaining companionship of these sadhus which elevates him further creating a transformation in the way he sees the world. "Contemplation alternated with worship" creates enjoyment that leads to attachment and deeper contemplation. The devotee needs to lose himself to the wider existence of the Lord.

Even Tavayogi was not spared. Immediately after hosting the Agathiyar Jayanthi and Guru Puja at Kallar a few years back, Tavayogi was knocked down while riding the bike. It took him many months to recover and regain his strength back.

I used to watch in amazement seeing him run up the flight of steps to the first floor of the Peedham where he stayed and preached while in Malaysia. I had to run alongside him just to keep pace with him when he took me to the caves in Kangayam and Uthiyur, the caves in Courtallam and also Kalyana Theertam. So you can imagine my sadness when I was told he was bedridden after the accident. But Agathiyar came to his aid and he recovered fully.

When I asked why the mishap needed to happen, he humbly told me that he still had karma that needed to be cleansed.

He took it all in his stride. He had told me that a mendicant or turavi would not be spared and that he would be tested maximum. He has to go through all kinds of abuse; physical, verbal, injury, danger. He told me it was only prayers that could help sustain one through these trying moments in life. While praying he says we should not pray that the Lord removes the obstacle but instead ask the Lord that he gives us the strength to face the turmoil and show us a way out or solution to the problem.

He did not preach for hours but instead took the opportunity to mention a thing or two while traveling, walking, eating and during other mundane moments.

If I were to condense or compress his teachings in three words it would be Karma, Prayer, and Agathiyar.

Let me expand that a bit in three sentences: All that happens is a result of Karma or past deeds (Nadapavai Anaithum Vinai Payan); Prayers help overcome this karma (Potrinaal Unathu Vinai Agalum); Who should we pray to? Agathiyar (Arul Gnana Jyothiye Agathin Jyothi, Taniperum Kadavule Agatheesar Avar).

To all those who come to him with their problems, he listens it out, tells them that all of what they are undergoing was due to their past deeds or karma, gives them a solution, not for their problems but shows them a way, asking that they place their problems at the feet of Agathiyar.

Prayers to Agathiyar are answered. For those who are following Velayutham Karthikeyan's blog SITHTHAN ARUL will understand the workings of Karma and how Agathiyar and the Siddhas go about changing ones fate.

Our prayers were heard. I go back in time recalling all the moments when Agathiyar came to our assistance.

Just as Agathiyar worked on my second daughter through the doctors, nurses and all the medicines, both allopathy and alternative medicine, administered to her, Agathiyar healed my elder daughter's broken bone too, through the doctors.

My daughter was knocked down by a car while riding pillion. The doctor who attended to her at the emergency ward told us he would apply a fiberglass cast and send her home to let nature take its course. He told us since she was young she should walk in three months' time. But these three months were critical to her because she had just started her internship, which was compulsory if she was to complete her diploma. On our insistence that she should not miss her internship, the doctor gave us another option. They could place surgical nails with which she could walk within a month and attend classes. We gave permission to proceed. My daughter’s leg was cast in half-cast and she was warded while awaiting to be operated one.

At the wards, a senior doctor on his rounds questioned our request for the said operation. He strongly advised us against the operation. He believed she should be back on her feet in three months' time to complete her internship. “If her bones do not mend then we can consider the operation”, he assured us. We submitted it to him. My daughter's leg was cast in full and she was told to rest at home.

My daughter could not accept her fate and questioned why it was all happening. Questions upon questions arose. Why did Agathiyar let this happen? Why did he not stop the accident from happening in the first place? Why did she need to go through this misery, suffering, and sorrow? I had no answers.

People we knew and concerned strangers told us to seek alternative approaches and pointed us to practitioners of alternative medicine. Even though I felt reluctant to seek another alternative, as I had faith in Agathiyar, but as a father, I had to seek out all available means to cure my daughter and have her back on her feet within the shortest possible time.

I dropped in on Dr. Krishnan to read my daughter's astrological chart. He confirmed that it was the work of Saturn as she was undergoing the dreaded 7 1/2 year of Saturn's influence.

While considering whether to seek these treatments, I decided I should seek Agathiyar’s advice first since he had advised me all this while through the Nadi, forty-seven times to date. There was a message from Agathiyar in my daughter’s Nadi reading. Agathiyar tells her that the planetary positions had been crucial in causing havoc in her life at this moment causing physical and mental torture but she need not fear for all would be well. Agathiyar assured her that he was there for her, taking care of her. He advised her to continue with the treatment in the hospital. Surprisingly this time around Agathiyar warned us not to seek alternative means but to listen and follow what the allopathy doctors advise. She would have to undergo a small procedure though, he added. 

She was also asked to appease Saturn, which I did diligently on her behalf; and to consume sesame seeds. Why sesame seed we pondered? When I did a search on Google, I came to know that sesame seed has a very high content of calcium. Doctors advised her to take calcium supplements to assist her bone to heal. Here Agathiyar advises my daughter to consume sesame seeds, which has high calcium content too. My daughter did as advised.

Unfortunately, after three months her bone did not mend as expected (non-union). The doctor told her he had to place a metal plate in her leg and briefed us on the procedure. Having said that, to our surprise, the doctor offered her yet another alternative too. She could go for an Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) Injection, which according to him had proven successful among sportsmen who had sports injuries. His words were a relief to us and we opted for the treatment since it did not require her to be operated on. She had to receive three injections in a span of two weeks. Miraculously the treatment gave positive results and she had new bone growth at the site of injury. After nine months of recuperating she recovered fully and was back on her feet and continued her internship.

Earlier when she had a fungus growth on her toes, she sought medical treatment with our family doctor, Dr. Jaswant Singh. Dr. Jaswant asked to apply a cream and take an antibiotic. He reminded us that if what he gave was not effective in stopping the fungal growth, we should seek a skin specialist. As there was no significant improvement, Dr. Jaswant asked to see a skin specialist. Meanwhile, I seek the advice of a Siddha practitioner, Dr. Krishnan. He started her on a course of Siddha medicine that gave some relief but new fungal growth appeared in neighboring toes. 

While waiting for the weekend to pass to see the specialist, I remembered that there was a chapter of the Nadi where the Siddhas could reveal about medical problems, illnesses, and diseases, treatment, and cures. My daughter went to see Nadi. In the Nadi reading, Agathiyar talks about her medical problems and advises her to opt for traditional medicine instead of modern drugs. He tells her modern drugs and treatment would not bring any relief. Agathiyar mentions two traditional preparations Jeeva Sakthi Legium and Vallarai Legium that was available commercially and asks that she adopt certain measures. After taking these medicines and following Agathiyar's advice the fungus that ate into her toe healed and closed up. My daughter was completely cured.

I was suffering from back pain for more than two years. I thought the pain was a result of me having exerted myself and seek alternative Chinese medicine that did bring some relief but the pain appeared off and on. When I consulted Dr. Krishnan he saw into my astrological charts and pointed out that I was undergoing these bodily pains because of Saturn's influence. He confirmed that it could not be the kidneys as my legs were not swollen. There was no possibility of stones in the bladder or urinary track but he did give me some medicine to clear the urinary tract. He asked that I have an x-ray taken of my backbone to ensure it was not a slipped disk.

I saw the allopathy doctor who treated it as backache and recommended that I undergo physiotherapy. I diligently attended these sessions. It did bring some relief but the pain was there on and off. Initially, I could not stand for long. I needed to sit. Then I could not walk for long distances. It used to ache around my hips and back. The idea in taking a nap or sleep is to wake up afresh. But here I always woke up with pain. The conditioned worsened to the extend I was awakened from my sleep by this very pain!

An x-ray was taken and I was referred to the orthopedic specialist. I was told all was well in my backbone.

Then as a last resort, I seek Agathiyar. In the Nadi reading, Agathiyar tells me that there is no problem physically with me. Agathiyar explains that all the yogic practices that I had put into practice had built much energy in me and as a result, I was undergoing these bodily pains. He asked me to stop immediately all these practices. Agathiyar recommended I take Nellikai based herbal preparation in any form and Tripala.  I was cured off my back pain!

When my wife was referred to the Gynecologists after having seen the MD for six months, she was put onto the operating table. I seek out  Agathiyar again.  Agathiyar assured that all would be well and that she needed to go through this phase and that alternative medicine would be of no avail. Yesterday the results of the investigation on her were made known and as Agathiyar promised all was well!

With all these efforts and treatments there was always the element of prayer. We prayed a lot. Our prayers were answered.

There is an endemic/ epidemic currently here in Malaysia - the Dengue Fever threat or as the StarFit4Life captions the story as The Dengue Menace. My daughter too was a victim of it. On waking up on Saturday 1st February 2014 she complained of having a fever. Our very good friend and family doctor Dr. Jaswant Singh treated her with antibiotics but gave us a reminder to go for a blood test in the event her fever does not go down by Monday as Dengue cases were on the rise. The fever did not go down.

We headed for the Government Clinic where a blood test was done and she was confirmed as having the Dengue Fever. She was required to go for a blood test every day to monitor her blood count and platelet levels.

Meanwhile, she drank lots of water and took lots of bottled isotonic drinks (Sports drinks are sometimes designed in an isotonic way to assist athletes in rehydrating while balancing electrolytes - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

She consumed cans of the juice of Honey Dates too. There was a significant rise immediately after taking the Date juice but the platelet, white blood cell count and blood pressure started dropping drastically the next few days.

She was then warded at the General Hospital where she was given Saline drips to counter the rapid dehydration occurring in the body.

She also forced herself to drink the raw juice of fresh young tender papaya leaves.

I called up Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal in India. He too advocated the juice of papaya leaves. Besides that, he told me to see if I could get the herb Vishnukranti supposedly good for all kinds of Viral fevers (Vishnukranti is valued for its antipyretic properties and is considered a specific for all kinds of fevers - http://mchunkat.tripod.com/AM035.html)

I called on my dear friend, famed astrologer and Siddha doctor, Dr. Krishnan. He too recommended the extract of papaya leaves. He passed me the Nilavenbu Kudineer herb too [Nilavembu Kudineer consists of nine ingredients of medicinal plants origin which are Andrographis paniculata (Nilavempu), Vetiveria zizanioides (Vettiver), Cymbopogan jwarancusa (Vilamichu ver), Santalum album (Chandanam), Trichosanthes cucumerina (Peipudal), Cyrerus rotundus (Koraikilangu), Zingiber officinale (Cukku), Piper nigrum (Milaku), Mollugo cervicana (Parppadakam) - Source: Research Article at http://www.journalcra.com/sites/default/files/Download%203297.pdf]. The herb was boiled over a slow flame and the drink given to her.

And finally, to top it all up, we did lots of prayers, individually and jointly too, for her fast recovery. Prayers of Tavayogi, Mataji, Gnana Jyothi Amma, and our parents were heard by God. With good care from the nurses and doctors and these prayers she is back on her feet and has attended school today.

The dear Dr. Krishnan passed on yet another Siddha herbal preparation, this time a sweet-tasting medicine, Adathodai Manapagu to boost her lost strength, which I collected from him moments ago.
