INVITATION TO AGATHIYAR'S JAYANTHI & GURU PUJA CELEBRATIONS 2013 AT KALLAR

Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal became a disciple of Chitramuthu Adigal of Panaikulam, went on a pilgrimage all over India and finally settled in an abandoned building in Kallar. He later built himself a hut with the help of the locals and the village headman.

Tavayogi was instructed by Agathiyar to install the Aaru Aathaara Peedham.

Slowly his hut grows into an ashram. The local native aborigines or Aadhi Vaasi move into the surrounding homes built by the government.

Tavayogi conducts the annual Sarva Dosa Nivaarana Maha Yagam, which started with 5 pits and later on the instruction of Agathiyar was expended to 108 pits, in conjunction with Agathiyar's Jayanthi and Guru Puja.

Later Tavayogi reveals a 6 feet tall fiber statue of Agathiyar donated by a devotee followed by that of Thava Murugan too.

Tavayogi will reveal a 6 1/2 feet statue of Agathiyar at his ashram on 27.5.10. All devotees are invited to attend.

Mataji Sarojini Ammaiyaar is instructed to bring Agathiyar's granite statue that she had made earlier and kept elsewhere, back to Kallar. Tavayogi is then instructed to install a granite statue of Agathiyar at the spot Agathiyar gave him Darshan in the hills of Kallar.

Invitation to Agathiyar Jayanthi & Guru Puja celebrations 2010 

Tavayogi will be hosting the Guru Puja in conjunction with Agathiyar's Jayanthi on 25th December 2010 at his ashram The Sri Agathiyar Gnana Peedham Thirukovil at Kallar, Coimbatore. All devotees are invited to participate in the grand Yagam that is to be conducted by lighting 108 pits.

Subject: Agathiyar Guru Puja

Tavayogi Thangarasan will be celebrating the Guru Puja for Agathiyar on the 10th and 11th of January 2012. We shall be celebrating simultaneously in Malaysia too.

This year Tavayogi, as usual, will celebrate the two-day event with its highlight being the lighting of the sacrificial fire or yagam at 2pm IST on 22 December 2013.

We in Malaysia will conduct a homam, abhisegam, and prayers simultaneously.
