Listening to Dr. Sean George's account and that of other doctors who saw the miracle happen right before their eyes is truly a wonder. Prayers do indeed deliver. It is said that "Faith brings hope". It is also said that :Belief invites divine intervention, turning what seems impossible into reality." Prayers then bring us the results.
On the local front, too, there were many instances of such miracles taking place in others' lives. In my short span of life of some 67 years, I have personally seen, heard from others, and read about such miracles taking place. I have shared similar stories in this blog.
My daughter, upon waking up on Saturday, 1st February 2014, complained of having a fever. Our very good friend and family doctor, Dr. Jaswant Singh, treated her with antibiotics but gave us a reminder to go for a blood test in the event her fever does not go down by Monday, as Dengue cases were on the rise. As the fever did not go down, we headed for the Government Clinic, where a blood test was done, and she was confirmed as having the Dengue Fever. She was required to go for a blood test every day to monitor her blood count and platelet levels. Meanwhile, she drank lots of water and took lots of bottled isotonic drinks (Sports drinks are sometimes designed in an isotonic way to assist athletes in rehydrating while balancing electrolytes - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). She consumed cans of the juice of Honey Dates, too. There was a significant rise immediately after taking the Date juice, but the platelet, white blood cell count, and blood pressure started dropping drastically over the next few days. She was then warded at the General Hospital, where she was given Saline drips to counter the rapid dehydration occurring in the body.
I called up Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal in India. He advocated the juice of papaya leaves. She forced herself to drink the raw juice of fresh, young, tender papaya leaves. Besides that, he told me to see if I could get the herb Vishnukranti, supposedly good for all kinds of Viral fevers (Vishnukranti is valued for its antipyretic properties and is considered a specific for all kinds of fevers - http://mchunkat.tripod.com/AM035.html)
I called on my dear friend, famed astrologer and Siddha doctor, Dr. Krishnan. He too recommended the extract of papaya leaves. He passed me the Nilavembu Kudineer herb, too. The herb was boiled over a slow flame, and the drink was given to her.
Nilavembu Kudineer consists of nine ingredients of medicinal plants of origin, which are Andrographis paniculata (Nilavempu), Vetiveria zizanioides (Vettiver), Cymbopogon jwarancusa (Vilamichu ver), Santalum album (Chandanam), Trichosanthes cucumerina (Peipudal), Cyrerus rotundus (Koraikilangu), Zingiber officinale (Cukku), Piper nigrum (Milaku), Mollugo cervicana (Parppadakam) - Source: Research Article at http://www.journalcra.com/sites/default/files/Download%203297.pdf].
Subsequently, the dear Dr. Krishnan passed on yet another Siddha herbal preparation, this time a sweet-tasting medicine, Adathodai Manapagu, to boost her lost strength. And finally, to top it all up, we did lots of prayers, individually and jointly too, for her fast recovery. Prayers of Tavayogi, Mataji, Jnana Jothiamma, and our parents were heard by God. Our prayers were answered. My daughter fully recovered from dengue fever. With good care from the nurses and doctors, and these prayers, she was back on her feet and soon attended school again.
Surendaran Selvaratnam, who was attached in Bangkok for a short stint during this time, decided to seek the Nadi at Kallar on 15.2.2014. Upon returning to Malaysia he turned up at my home with the transcript of the Jeeva Nadi reading he had had in Kallar. As I read his transcribe I was speechless for a few moments trying to digest what was said in it. Agathiyar most graciously spoke about my daughter and her recovery in Suren's Jeeva Nadi reading! The transcript went as follows:

Agathiyar said he had come with Tirumular to the hospital and treated her! He went to the extent of explaining what they did to make my daughter recover! They made her platelet rise!
When an architect by profession and a devotee succumbed to dengue fever a second time, he went out of his body. He was confronted by Lord Yama, golden in stature and riding a golden bull. When he woke up in his hospital bed, gasping for air, he was told that some three hours plus had passed since he left his body. He remembered uttering Lord Siva's mantra, and the Lord appeared before him, taking him by his hand, pushing away Lord Yama back to where he came from. Many months later, Lord Muruga, in a Jeeva Nadi reading, revealed that he had come and taken his hand and redeemed him from Yama.
When a father who often sent his son to fulfill his wish to pray at Lord Murugan's cave temple in Sungai Siput chose not to enter the cave temple but picked up the broom to sweep clean the floor inside the cave temple, each time he was there was rushed to the hospital one day, and pronounced dead shortly after arrival, the temple priest learning about this rushed to his bedside and recited the Lord's mantra. He arose from death and lived to tell his tale.
An ardent devotee of Agathiyar went into a state of coma after having a fall at his home. His fellow devotees consulted the Nadi and were told to gather and pray for him. He came out of the coma. Agathiyar in the Nadi revealed that he saved him by giving his breath.
A devotee's mother was admitted to the hospital. He called me in the morning hours of 4am. He asked that I light an oil lamp and pray for her safety. I did as requested. When the doctors attended to her, gathering together hastily behind the screens, he knew that his mother's time was up. He cried out to Agathiyar to save his mother. Almost immediately, a gust of wind blows in the wards, and soon the doctors deliver him the news that they were able to revive her. Agathiyar, in a Nadi reading, later revealed to him that he saved her by giving his breath.
When Tavayogi was hospitalized, my family and I prayed that he would survive. He came through it. Later, Agathiyar revealed in my Nadi reading that all the Siddhas had gathered together and conducted a Yagam so that he could live to settle and hand over the running of his ashram to his aid, Mataji Sarojini Ammaiyar. He lived to accompany my niece to a nearby temple during her visit and contributed towards penning some lines of a song for our maiden venture in producing a music album "Agathiyar Geetham".
When someone was remanded for loaning his car to his friends who were caught in possession of drugs, which, if found guilty, would have sent him to the gallows, his wife headed for Kallar Ashram and conducted a Yagam. Upon returning to Malaysia the following day, she was given the good news that he had been released.
A devotee who saw herself lying on a hospital bed began to shake her body violently, calling out to wake up, but to no avail. Almost immediately, she was at her home, where she saw her little daughter. The thought of who was going to take care of her baby and her husband now, and fear crept into her. Again, immediately, she saw herself standing at the gates to the Batu Caves Murugan Temple. She could see dark bodies usher her towards them. Then a luminous body appeared and motioned her to Lord Muruga in the cave temple, assuring her that it was only he who could revive and redeem her from death. The next moment, she flew over the steps and into the caves. She pleaded with Lord Muruga to bring her back to life. Immediately, a spark of light from the Lord enters her, and she comes out gasping for air at the hospital. She survives the ordeal.

Lord Muruga in the Nadi has revealed to several devotees that he had changed their fate and destiny. He had saved some from imprisonment, some from the gallows, and others from death. Lord Muruga turns out to be the Lord of our destiny, capable of bringing immediate change in our fate. Indeed, in 2018, he told me in a Jeeva Nadi reading that henceforth, he changed my fate too.
Ramalinga Adigal assures us that God is there for us through the Arutpa hymn, அஞ்சாதே நெஞ்சே

But for equally many, they might see God as having let them down when close ones do eventually pass on. One must remember in these moments and console oneself that the soul has made a choice to leave or that there was a reason for it to leave immediately. For instance, when Agathiyar had the relatives of a man who was bedridden for a couple of years carry out remedies that he gave through a regular Nadi reading, the man eventually gave up and asked to be taken. Agathiyar, who surprisingly came in the Nadi after his death, for there is never a Nadi reading for a dead man, asked the next of kin what he was to do as the soul had asked to end it all.
