Once you know the truth, you realize that you have become helpless for the weeds have spread so fast and deep in this world and it has gone beyond our ability to keep pace with weeding them. We need a larger measure or action to eradicate these weeds. It was unimportant to us when we were amongst the weeds. But as the seed was sown and it grew, and it had a clearer view of the grassland ahead, it could now see to some distance. Can it stay clear of the onslaught of the weeds or shall it perish in its hands? Likewise, the onslaught of speech and action is affecting this soul. It fears to leave the confined space as in its mother's womb once, in which it finds solace, calm, and peace. It is coped up in the safety of its cocoon. What brightens its day is the ongoing conversation it has with its God, Guru, Father, Mother, and now lifelong Companion. It is because of his love that this soul still lives to see the light of the day. Once in a while comes a soul calling on it, or over the phone, who brightens up the day for they share the same yearning. An hour passes in joy speaking about the divine energy that sustains them to this day. They share their love for him.
Seeing him and feeling him in the tender touch and smile of a child, the babbling and later astounding things they say and share. He sees and feels him in the animal that wags its tail upon coming up to him asking him to give it a pet. He sees and feels him in the exhilarating breeze that blows across his face. He sees him in the aroma and taste of food prepared with love and care. He sees and feels him in the sound and music that reach his ears. The divine is in all of this.
Then the next moment all these vanishes and he is back in this harsh reality. He needs to escape from the horrific sights and sounds that are encroaching, enveloping, and suffocating him. He has become an endangered species. Where does he find this place that is safe, sound, and healthy for his continued survival? He turns to the divine to be at his side and change the entire surroundings to accommodate this soul and for its continued existence. He prays that many more shall find their way here to this paradise.
He soon finds out that when the senses go out he loses his peace. In shutting them he shuts the outside world too. The peace stays within. But how do we go within? It is much more difficult than walking through a jungle I believe. Man who has accomplished much might not be able to accomplish this. I speak for myself. But I still pursue trying. Some day I shall step into that region and state of continuous bliss too I believe.
