Agathiyar's Jayanthi and Guru Puja was celebrated in a big way in many venues yesterday. Kallar Ashram in India celebrated the Vizha with many devotees from the AVM family in India attending the event.

AVM too held prayers for Agathiyar too in a modest way.
Besides attending to his Puja, AVM and AUM family celebrated the day with an act of Dharma by feeding people. Agathiyar Universal Mission (AUM) through its "Pothigai Meals on Wheels" purchased, cooked, packed and distributed meals to those on the streets in the afternoon while Thondu Seivom (TS) and Amudha Surabhi (AS) of AVM bought, packed and distributed buns and drinks to the hungry on the streets later at night.

The team started with a prayer at AUM Illam and ended with another at Agathiyar's sannadhi at the Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayaga Temple in Brickfields.
TS packed and distributed food parcels in collaboration with AVM and AS.
