The grace of God is accessible to all and not a privilege of some. Speaking to a reader and friend, he pointed out that the story of the Nayanmars, who came from diverse backgrounds, depicts this beautifully. But over time, some took it into their hands and took control of others, making them believe that they were shepherds who could lead the way. But the fault lies in our believing that these few could deliver us. The Siddhas, on the other hand, only gave us the tools. It is up to us place the effort. Discipline and effort take us places unexplored. And so I took up the tools they gave and practiced and carried them out with discipline and dedication. Today I am reaping the fruits of my efforts. But my efforts were very minuscule. It was their grace that brought on the change, both external and internal. It is time I gave back. I guess it is by way of listening to others and continuing puja in my home, where those who need someone to talk to and a place to take shelter from the rain can turn to. I guess my purpose is to provide temporary relief to crying souls. Agathiyar makes sure that there is no attachment or a following arising from these moments of solace. It is good for both parties that we meet and move on. Agathiyar has broken the last bondage to these few who came knocking on the door that had held me back. I am free to fly now.
