Thondu Seivom and AVM members gathered together at the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Anak Yatim Sri Sai Selangor yesterday, again, to bring some cheer and joy and put a smile on the faces of 48 orphaned children.
What was planed to be a monthly affair of providing food to devotees at the Batu Caves Murugan temple was switched to this home upon the requests of several members who favored that we provide food or annadhanam to the extremely needy and poor. Agathiyar in a recent Nadi revelation for Bala Chandran Gunasekaran too urged us to carry on this noble act on a monthly basis promising that the karma of members would be shed by merits gained through these acts of kindness.
This home is in dire need of financial help. Rental and utility bills have to be paid. Maintenance and upkeep of a conducive environment needs to be done periodically. School attires and stationary are required frequently. Transport to and fro from school is essential for continuity in lessons. These children have to be feed and groomed.
