Saravanan Palanisamy posted a beautiful story on fb,
A nice story shared by the medicine man:
Master and his disciple were walking together to a destination, along the journey the disciple asked questions to his Master .... and thus he questioned to his Master,
"Master what is maayaa?"
The Master didn't answer him, and he just sat at one location, and told his disciple, "I can't take another step, get me some water."
The disciple then reached a small village. He then found a house and knocked its door. He saw a beautiful woman opened the door. He then asked for water. She gave him water and he drank it all since he was thirsty as well.
She then request him to rest a while at her house, and then she offered food. Sun started to set. She asked him to put a night at her house since its already dark.
The next morning, the disciple inquired the woman, about herself. She is living alone with her farm and cattle. Since she was alone, he volunteered to marry her. They then married.
Years passed. They had three children. The farm grew bigger and they built a bigger house. They were very wealthy and happy.
Suddenly one day, a huge flood came and destroyed the whole village. He lose his wife and children, plus his house and farm were destroyed too. He was in great sorrow. He kneel to the ground and cried in agony.
At a sudden, he felt someone holding his shoulder. He looked up. It was his Master. The Master smiled and asked his disciple...
"I asked you to fetch water for me, dear disciple."A similar story is told by Dharmalinga Swamigal,
