Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal started me off on the path of the Siddhas with a short prayer before Agathiyar's painting at my altar in my home when he came over and graced my home for the very first time on 31st July 2005. Since then we had Agathiyar in the form of a bronze statue made at the instruction of Agathiyar in the Nadi.
Agathiyar again asked us to perform
abhisegam or libation on his statue through the Nadi. We we instructed to conduct the
homam or lighting of the sacrificial fire pit by Tavayogi. On another visit to our home some years later, Tavayogi conducted the
homam and
abhisegam where we learnt the finer points of conducting these rituals by watching him and Mataji Sarojini Ammaiyaar do it.

So when Tavayogi arrived in Malaysia recently, I wanted him to similarly start AVM family members off too on the worship of the Siddhas in all their individual homes. The idea was well received and hence Agathiyar, Tavayogi and Mataji joined us in nine days of worship of the Siddhas in the homes of devotees.
