AVM received a visitor from the holy city of Varanasi this morning. Brahmarishi Narayan Bhatt was accompanied by NS Shaan of AVM. Swamiji had performed Durga puja in Shaan's home during the recent Navarathri festival. Swamiji having an intuition to travel to other countries while in Punjab some years back, then traveled to Thailand and was in Malaysia last year. NS Shaan met him at an Agathiyar Peedham in Batu Caves and became acquainted with him while there. Swamiji visited his home subsequently.
Swamiji was a householder before taking up sanyasam on the directive of his father, also a Brahmarishi.
When I told him that I had not been to Varanasi but Varanasi had come to me (implying him), he replied it was true and went on to narrate how Mother Ganga came to us (Earth).
Swamiji before leaving asked to perform a puja at AVM and indicated that he would like to give a speech once he returns from Singapore. Those who want to catch him tonight can head for the Sri Mayuranathar Alayam & Sri Math Pamban Kumaraguruthasa Swamigal Thirukovil at Dengkil where Swamiji is scheduled to speak after the weekly Siddha Puja.
