THE ESSENCE OF REBIRTH

Going by the many revelations in the Nadi by the Siddhas and Erai, the jigsaw, of why we keep taking birth, seems to fall into place. It all boils down to a single answer - that we had hurt someone/something in the past, hence the reason to take birth and settle the score. The computation and its resulting karma can come in many forms and intensity but the reason always is that we have harmed someone or something in the past. The answer to end this birth cycle would then be to show love and kindness to all of Erai's creation. This would be the very first step to bring us back on-track to Erai's kingdom. Hence the need to give back to society to balance the score is continuously stressed by the Siddhas.

A hardened heart needs to be told about love and has to be given time to soften, and to see the world in a different perspective, that of love and compassion. Hence the reason for taking numerous births.

We are glad that we finally arrived at the threshold of Erai's kingdom with the Siddhas revealing the extent of misery that we have brought onto ourselves and others untold misery and suffering by harming, scheming, wrecking, cheating, lying etc.  Giving us specific atonement for each karma from several births, he opened up our hearts to give, share, love and show compassion to all living beings. Taking it from there we began to give back to society irrespective whether commanded by the Siddhas or otherwise. We began to give back to society irrespective whether it was the need of the day, to appease and correct one's respective acts of wrong doings in the past.

Love moves even the toughest mountains. The Siddhas took this approach in dealing with us. They exposed the many evil deeds we did knowingly - secrets close to the heart, that only we knew, all the more reason to belief that they dwell in our very hearts.

They knew all our past. They were witness to all our thoughts and actions, watching silently. Coming to them with submission and empathy, they revealed the many evil deeds that we neither knew nor remembered, that we did in the past births. They pacified us telling us that not all is lost and there was time to redeem this evil acts by doing good.

For want of salvation we took them as our saviors. We took their hands to lead us away from all the wrongdoings that could further bring suffering and misery to us and others. We looked up to them for further guidance waiting eagerly to execute their commands. We became apostles of the Siddhas. In turn they went to the extent of bringing together potential apostles to create a society of like minded people. They ensured that those who could undermine, sabotage and poison the minds of these apostles left on their own accord.

Today the Mahamantra that ties us together, binding us, bringing us together to do his work in unison is Anbe Shivam. Love binds. Love brings cheers. Love heals. Love surrenders. Love forgives.

Following in the footsteps of the Siddhas and Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal, Thondu Seivom and Amudha Surabhi literally walked the quiet streets of the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur after sundown to deliver pastries, drinks, toiletries and other essentials to the homeless in conjunction with Sri Patanjali's Jayanthi yesterday.

Just minutes before going to the streets to carry out this noble deed, G.Bala Chandran is blessed with a Nadi reading where Agathiyar and Lord Murugan shower their blessings and motivate us to continue further giving and doing all forms of charity.

Blankets will be provided to protect and shield the homeless from the cold during the night; to protect them from the cold benches and pavements; and shield them from the mosquitoes, on 14 April 2018 in conjunction with the Tamil New year. THE REIGN OF LORD MURUGA

Agathiyar in the following Nadi reading reveals this era of the Siddhas as the reign of Lord Muruga. He explains the benefits in worship of Lord Muruga too.

Ramalinga Adigal a century ago had sang numerous heart whelming songs on Lord Muruga that would move even the toughest of hearts.

TOWING THE LINE

The Siddhas threw the bait into the ocean of life that we were all caught in hoping for a catch. Some Siddhas lived amidst the public but stayed aloft watching for a potential candidate to walk by. Some dived into the picture or rather into the lives of potential candidates at the nick of time to lift them away from the precarious world we know off. Some came along at the right time to remind the candidate of his past and the need to pursue the journey that had stopped abruptly. Hence they all did come for the sole (soul) purpose of reclaiming their kind and leading them back on the track to the kingdom of Erai.

I and others at AVM were among several of those who took the bite. I took the readings, explanation, reasons and instructions given in the Nadi as the word of Erai. I was fortunate that he showed me not one but two gurus, in the physical form, to teach, guide and accompany me on this journey.

Slowly they began to break the beliefs I had and the ideas I carried that were inculcated in me; that I picked up; that I cherished and upheld for years; that I held as the truth and dear to the self; and that I was ready and willing to engage, in a duel or battle, to uphold my thought, opinion and my stand. They began to break all the misconception I had. They broke all the commonly accepted doctrines and understanding that we acknowledge as the truth. Soon science and logic failed in the face of these deliberations. All philosophical musings and understanding shed and crumbled. They began to show things in a new light. They began to reassemble my thoughts. They began to work with my mind. They began to work on my physique. They began to work alongside with my spirit. I then came to realise that there was a pre and post periods in understanding too; of one before coming to the path of the Siddhas and another on the path.

We came as a son among many to them; they instructed and watched us to see if we complied with their directives, asking and request. Observing us closely they then lead us on with more guidance that was customized to each individuals temperament, nature and character; his standing in society; his surroundings; and the factors available around him that could help mould him into the person they wanted.

Just as every culture and society has a place of worship, we too had a new understanding regarding temple and idol worship. What was once a place to drop in twice a week to seek the divine's blessings, now revealed its mysteries and transmitted its electrifying energies as we were ready and tuned for it. We tapped into these energy storehouses and retain these energies that did wonders. We began to appreciate the monumental service that the Siddhas, our forefathers and ancestors, had done for their prodigies. Thirugnana Sambandhar and Ramalinga Adigal among many others, as a child had amazing spiritual experiences in these temples. Through idol worship the divine manifested and granted their darshan and grace.

The Siddhas showed us the importance of worship in our homes too. They showed us that with constant worship even metal, stone, ash, water, fire and air can attain divine properties and hold, carry, convey, transmit and project these divine attributes hence conferring these divine energies onto those whose stood before them, showering them with abundance of grace and blessings, transmitting divine knowledge, healing their physique and soul, and shaping their thoughts and mind.

Agathiyar had asked that on completion of his bronze statue that was commissioned at Swamimalai,  be taken to the Adhi Kumbeshwarar temple in Kumbakonam and puja performed before he was to be shipped/flown over to Malaysia. He asked that we give it, the metal, life by chanting his name 100,000 times. This was on 3rd January 2010. Today he sits majestically 18 feet in height at AVM willing to hear and grant all our wishes through this 18 kilogram piece of metal.

Lord Muruga reveals that the projection of the nine planets or Navagraham that sits way beyond the skies, replicated on ground in a neatly and orderly manner in the temples, are not merely deities that could confer boons and eradicate our troubles but were indeed gurus who could change ones fate. I understood the fact that they were deities to the general public, but their roles switched to become that of gurus to those traveling the path. It comes as no surprise going by the many stories told of the Siddhas and their numerous magical achievements that challenges logical thinking and the mind; and that challenges science and its concepts. Nature became teacher to them. We are told that the plant kingdom would bow down to Agathiyar and reveal their properties in healing mankind.

They showed us the benefits of performing rituals, reciting mantras, singing their praise and chanting their names that subtly help bring change in us. They performed these rituals too that worked on the plane of sound and light, and delivered results. While the team of dedicated doctors attended on Tavayogi to bring him back to normalcy, Agathiyar says the Siddhas too performed a Yagna so that he would survive.

As Supramania Swami says non of our efforts go to waste, all the efforts taken towards gaining the trust and love of the Siddhas has paid off eventually. What began with puja in our homes, soon led to visitations to their abodes and temples. The Siddhas who were impressed with our steadfastness and sincerity, two important ingredients needed of seekers, to our surprise invited us to perform these rituals at the temples too. They broke the norm of the day making way for us to perform Yagna and libations to deities at temples chosen by them. They made their presence felt in these places to several devotees.

Today Lord Muruga has suggested that we build a temple for them. Although we pretty well know that they would handle the whole project, we did draw up some guidelines. The temple would not be the conventional and typical temple but one that caters for and lives with the times. It would have a place for all sectors and levels of devotees be it those in sariyai, kriyai, yogam or gnanam as depicted beautifully at both the new and old Kallar ashram. This will incorporate both activities related to dharma and tapas. If his desire and ours match then the temple will be a reality.

EVEN THE DIVINE'S PLANS CHANGE

I had taken close and dear ones to temples and mediums, hoping to get relief from either their illnesses or problems. The mediums would engage in rituals and pass on amulets etc to bring relief or protection.

I would stand aside and watch in fear and horror when the mediums go into a trance demanding and making deals with already terrified "clients" to help clear their illnesses or problems.

Soon I began to accept them and their mode of worship for there were people who have had seen results and returned to settle their debts. These "life-savers" had their own following of people who frequented them for solutions. They serviced this sector of the society.

Coming into the Siddha fold brought me to accept them too for if Agathiyar was the Prapanjam then all things in it was he too.

Never did I realize that they would work through me and those close to me too one day. After coming to worship the Siddhas they used my premises as their venue and me as a tool to attend to those who came seeking. I did not quite like the idea of them using my premises and me to carry out their operations. I had to make my stand known to them that I did not want to end as a soothsayer, charlatan, healer, sorcerer and mystic and have queues of people lining up to get a solution for the mess they made or brought onto themselves. It was fine to deal with them if they were to change over a new leaf after having rid them of their illnesses or postpone sudden impending death or removed their sorrow. But sadly it does not happen.

Me and my wife confronted the Siddhas. We humbly asked that they stop their divine play or lila. The Siddhas listened to our requests. They stopped sending people over, but they still held on to the very thin string, only giving us a break from the sudden and overpowering happenings that took place around us. In actuality they were giving us time to settle into our new roles. Meanwhile they worked very subtly in us bringing us to an understanding on why all these had to take place. From a householder who was self centered and happy just carrying out his responsibilities towards the family, they prepared us to open up our hearts and our home to others in distress.

During the days where I just had a painting of Agathiyar at my altar Tavayogi instructed me to start the ritual of lighting the sacrificial fire. When Agathiyar came as a statue there was libation thrown in too, commanded by the Mahamuni himself. Although I did not want to end up being a priest and get tied up with rituals all my life long, I submitted to the commands of my guru in physical form and the Satguru in subtle form respectively.

They showed me to two true and wonderful gurus, both gems of a guru. I was brought to the realm of gurus. I was brought to watch and understand the responsibilities a guru had to take on for their disciples. All the happenings in their lives served to teach me and enlighten me about new frontiers beyond the understanding of common folk. It was all mystical and mysterious in nature.

Although he had five gurus namely his father Jayaram Pillai, Satananda Swami, Pundi Mahaan, Kollimalai Swami and Visiri Swami, Supramania Swami spoke much about Visiri Swami or Yogi Ramsuratkumar. He narrated how the Yogi came and knocked his door of his village home at Nachananthal some 8 kilometres away from Tiruvannamalai town. The Yogi passed him his photo on a bunting and left. I listened coolly until Supramania Swami mentioned that this miracle took place after the Yogi had gone into samadhi! That made me sit up. How would that be possible? How does one arise from the dead? On my second visit Supramania Swami brought the Yogi from his samadhi to sit and chant with both of us. Amazing.

When he began to build a temple for Lord Muruga, a dream that he had cherished in his heart only to reveal it to me, seeking financial assistance to see the project through, a stranger stopped Supramania Swami in its midst asking why he was regressing back to Bakthi when he was already in Jnana. Swami stopped building the temple.

I came to understand that Ramalinga Adigal had built the Satya Gnana Sabai in Vadalur on the instruction of Erai who promised that the pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, Devas and Devis would come down, assemble and reside in it. However the said event, mysteriously, did not take place.

Tavayogi had Chitramuthu Adigal as his guru and Jeganatha Swamigal as Paramaguru. Tavayogi who was prepared to go into Samadhi was stopped from doing so but rather instructed to start an Ashram/ Temple against his liking and brought to Malaysia to spread the teachings of the Siddhas and officiate more peedhams affiliated to him.

Although Tavayogi acknowledged that he had released the leaflet I had in my hands, mentioning his intention to build a temple for Agathiyar in Kallar, he confided in us later that it was Agathiyar's directive and that the project was for the public. The temple/meditation hall/ashram became a reality and was consecrated in 2016. Agathiyar tells us that he makes appearances at the ashram, blessing devotees. Tavayogi surprised me telling me that he had come the night I arrived at the Ashram. He tells me that they made their appearances in all the sacred places related to the Siddhas that we went to.

I was asked to build a temple in my very first Nadi reading. Feeling blessed, special and elevated, having my ego boosted thinking that I was the chosen one to carry out this divine task, in my eagerness to accommodate the request of Agathiyar, I asked around the existing temple committees in my vicinity for a space to erect and install a shrine for Agathiyar. No one offered to share their space both in their temples and their hearts. That was when Supramania Swami mooted the idea of building a temple in India. I agreed to help him out as I thought it was immaterial where the temple was built, Malaysia or India, and for whom it was built, Lord Muruga or Agathiyar. However the project was stalled by the divine who had initiated it in the first place as a spark of desire in Swami's heart.

In 2009, Agathiyar requests Sundara Arumugam Aiya who was in the process of building the Sri Jegathguru Raghavendra Mririga Brindavanam Kinta in Ipoh to allocate a space for him. At the same time Agathiyar in my Nadi reading requested that I commission his bronze statue and place it at the Brindavanam. I set out to have his bronze statue commissioned and made at Swamimalai exactly the way he wanted. Agathiyar told me he will be in my home while awaiting completion of the Brindavanam.

After several postponements the Brindavanam was finally to be officiated. But then Agathiyar had not said a word about him moving there nor the protocol in bringing him over. I had to decide and decide fast for time was nearing for the opening of the Brindavanam. I took the decision (he tells me later in the Nadi that it was his decision) not to send him till there was a green light from him. Meanwhile a devotee volunteered to provide a statue of Agathiyar at the Brindavanam.

If the divine's plans do change for reasons known only to them then it does not come as a surprise that whatever foretold to us could change too. The dad need not explain to the child on why he took certain decisions but always has his child's welfare and future in mind while going about his duties. Similarly I prefer not to question the divine's decisions knowing pretty well that whatever moves they make would only be for our good and a better future.

Agathiyar chose to stay at my home. Agathiyar arrived in 2010 in the form of the statue some 8 years after I was introduced to the Siddha worship. For the sake of convenience of those who came calling and asking for the whereabouts of my home, I pinned the location of my home in Google maps as Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM), a name adopted from the original Kallar Ashram that was located at Agathiyar Vanam. Since then he has brought many seekers to AVM.

Many came and their hearts were conquered by Agathiyar's sight and grace. They stayed on serving him in various capacities.

Some came believing it was a temple complex or an establishment but ended up disappointed that it was only a home. They never came back.

Some stayed for awhile and left later, working in a detrimental manner to this insignificant establishment of ours.

Those who came with sincerity observed the prayers and took it back with them into their homes.

I was happy with this arrangement. But Agathiyar kept telling me he will keep on sending more of his seekers over. He then told me that we would have to hold a vizha or fest. I was afraid my home could not contain. But yet I accommodated his wish, although I could not provide comfort to the wonderful souls who gathered in this tiny home of ours.

Then Lord Muruga surprises us saying that I was to hold Agathiyar's annual guru puja during the star Ahilyam in the month of Thai rather then Ahilyam in the month of Margazhi as ordained in Kallar and elsewhere. When the thought that my home would not contain the crowd arised in my mind at the time of reading the Nadi, he says that I need to build a temple. Again a thought arises countering his asking. Aren't there enough temples for you Muruga? There were already way too many temples around us. The all knowing Erai reads my mind and answers that he is aware of the existence of numerous temples for him in this country and adds that there was a reason he wanted me to build one.

Since I was still considering whether to heed or excuse myself from this gigantic task he sends Agathiyar to coax and convince me to carry our his commands. Agathiyar told me the home is rather small to accommodate the people he was about to send, hence the need to move house.

I was always happy, satisfied and contented with the way AVM took shape retaining its present form. It was a private home of an individual who worshiped Agathiyar. Then Agathiyar brought his children over to AVM asking me to accommodate their requests in opening my home to his children. Soon we felt the home was getting rather small to accommodate the ever increasing numbers of Agathiyar devotees. Lord Muruga too felt the same and hence the reason I build a temple for him.

It is amazing how the divine reaches out to us through the Siddhas. It is amazing how the Siddhas walk us through their plans. But experience has taught us that even their plans could change.

As of today Lord Muruga has asked me to build a temple for him, something Supramania Swami was told to abandon back in 2005. As of today Lord Muruga has asked me to build a temple for him, the same thing that the divine asked of Tavayogi back in 2002. As of today this holds truth. It could change though. That is the world of the mystical and mysterious Erai.

CLEARLY DEFINING THE PATH

Where would you start on this vast ocean that is called spiritualism? You go knock a door. You watch what goes on. You decide that is not what you seeked. You leave. You arrive at another door and find that that too is not to your liking. You move on searching for an ideal home where your spirit could rest in bliss. Soon you exhaust yourself seeking out the ideal and perfect path. It dawns on you that there is no ideal or perfect path. After much soul searching you come to a halt only to realize that rather then search for a path of your hearts desire you are then willing to settle for one that is drawn up by the divine for the divine knows all.

After much reading of spiritual garbs that brought me nowhere nearer to the realization of Erai, and with the timely intervention of Lord Shiva through a dream, I dropped all seeking and forms of worship.

When my seeking stopped, Erai moved in, not immediately but after all that I had read earlier had settled and no new spiritual nor religious junk was collected. The divine arrived to guide me after 14 years, bringing me a mantra for Lord Vishnu; bringing me the worship of Lord Dhakshanamurthy; and Mother in her forms of Dhurga, Lakshmi and Sarasawathy.

A year later I am lead to read the sacred oracle or Nadi that is both mind boggling and amazing. The blueprint is shown to me. I am given options and choices to either pursue in the path of my hearts desire or to listen and adapt the Siddhas advice. I opt for the latter. The following year, I place my feet in the soil of my father and forefathers land, mystical India. I am greeted by the Siddhas through many forms and at many venues. I am shown the mystical side of spiritualism - one that was beyond the sense of logic and general understanding. I am shown my Guru and the fire of devotion is rekindled in me by Supramania Swami of Tiruvannamalai. He showed me the magnificence of Gurus.

Back home I am shown my second Guru who leads me on on the path of the Siddhas. Taking the recitation of the names of the Siddhas in one hand and charity in another hand I walk alongside Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal of Kallar Ashram. Armed with these two earth shattering cannons I began my journey on a path less known and even less traveled. Just as mentioned "And then the true adventure began" for Sarah Macdonald author of "HOLY COW! - An Indian Adventure", Tavayogi mentioned exactly the same as we embarked together on an adventure tracing the path traveled by the Siddhas.

The Siddhas came to my aid, guiding me through the only medium of communication in those years - the Nadi. Today they deliver their messages through people whom they chose. Knowing that one cannot possibly swallow the whole ocean of spiritualism and partake its nectar and ambrosia the Siddhas have clearly defined the path for us at AVM. It is a relatively easy path; that of a householder but yet maintaining a relationship with the divine. It is not taxing. It is simple to follow. It can be done in the confines of the home. It is not dependent on a medium or middleman. It gives results proportional to one's efforts.

This is the worship of Siddhas. By serving mankind in need and prayers for the welfare of all of his creation, these two means are the stepping stones to much bigger and grandeur states to come.
