Siddhas invest in us hoping to get returns in the form of a vehicle and tool to do their work for society and man at large. They hunt down potential candidates scanning the Akashic records of these souls to see if they could work on their past karma and relieve them of the burden and baggage they carry and set them on a new journey, a journey that would change one's fate and chart a new destiny.
That is the reason the guru waits patiently for the right soul to come by at the right time. Though the Siddhas are beyond time and space, but mortals are subjected to the planetary influences and thus the need to scrutinize and arrive at the right moment to deliver or show the path. I did ask Tavayogi why I only came so late in my life to this path at 43 years of age. Tavayogi shot me down saying that at least I had come at this age! I was soon to learn that this was Tavayogi's nature and Agathiyar's too in breaking our ego and molding us. They are fond of throwing another question to the one we place before them getting us to use our brain and think and ponder over the matter and arrive at the answers by ourselves. Only if we fail to understand or do not do something right do they come to correct us.
Having identified a potential soul the Siddhas have to battle the ego that he or she carries in her that takes control and sends his or her Jeevatma backstage to just observe the play. Once we summit to the Siddhas the divine takes over the show. Surrender is an important element in this journey hence the reason for us facing all difficulties and obstacles. When we fail to find ways to remove or come out of the sufferings only then do we submit to the divine asking for deliverance. The Siddhas and the divine make an entry into our lives then. But do not be mistaken that life will be a bed of roses the next minute. We have to pull through the troubles and sufferings. These experiences besides giving us a learning and lessons it strengthens the soul power and we gain Atma Balam. Only such souls can battle the times to come walking the Siddha path as a Siddha. Neither do existing conditions change the moment we step into the shoes of a Siddha. All troubles and problems will avail us, but we then have the strength and patience to either deal with or ignore them.
