THE YEAR IN REVIEW

2015 comes to an end today. Tomorrow is another year. My 36 year career too comes to an end today. Tomorrow will be a new chapter in my life too.

When I told my mum I wanted to retire, she asked me why? When I told my family doctor, he too asked me why? I could go another 4 years. And I was fit. There was no reason to retire optional. But I thought life was not all about work. I wanted to take things easy and spent more time with Agathiyar.

When I was called in by Nadi Guru Ramesh for a reading on 28 March 2015, as usual, and as Ramesh went into the adjacent room to retrieve the Nadi, I pondered what Agathiyar had to say about my decision to retire early, To my surprise Agathiyar endorsed my decision. That made me happy and removed the tiny winy guilt I had, whether I had taken the right decision. Now I could move on. I do not know what I am going to do. I have no plans. I leave it to Agathiyar to instruct me further.

Agathiyar had earlier encouraged me to write about the Siddhas through the Nadi reading on 17 February 2007, something Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal had asked of me some time back.  Once as I accompanied Tavayogi on his spiritual tours while in Malaysia, he turned around and told me to speak about the Siddhas to others. I humbly turned down his request as I was pretty new to this path and not knowledgeable. During another moment Tavayogi asked that I translate his books into English. I had to turn down his request for I was incompetent to undertake such a massive and mammoth task.

Agathiyar brings me to tears with another reading on 21 September 2014. He speaks about this blog and encourages me to carry on, giving due recognition for the work done. Agathiyar suggests the idea to stream live his prayers. This has since become a reality now. The puja at Agathiyar Vanam is now viewable at http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.my/2015/12/schedule-of-live-streaming-of-siddha.html

Agathiyar speaks about the current Siddha Era and Lord Murugan. After bringing me to tears he makes me rejoice by saying that he will continue to play his lilas and open his eyes at Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia. Agathiyar ask that I continue with the puja.

The year started with the annual celebrations for the 12th Agathiyar Jayanthi and Guru Puja that was held on 8 January 2015.

Agathiyar in his Jeeva Nadi reading revealed at Kallar Ashram after the 12th Annual celebrations, mentions that he was extremely glad with the preparations that went into hosting his Jayanthi and Guru Puja. He reveals that on that day the 18 Siddhas were present amidst the smoke that gathered in the Yagam grounds. He praises Tavayogi and his devotees for successfully conducting the Sarva Dosa Nivarana Maha Yagam. Their presence was made known by the sweet aroma and breeze that enveloped the entire place. The 18 Siddhas blessed all those present by showering flowers onto them.

The year ended with Agathiyar's Jayanthi again on 29 December 2015.

Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal's Sri Agathiyar Gnana Peedham too is in the process of moving out of the existing spot to a new 2 acre site more accessible to the public. The living quarters and dining hall has just been completed, while work on the other facilities will continue.

The year 2015 brought much joy to us at Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) and Siddha Heartbeat. We at AVM continued the live streaming of the numerous prayers conducted at AVM at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/siddha-heartbeat. Many appreciated the live streaming of the Siddha puja and wrote in to encourage us to continue streaming.

The year also saw AVM members take up Kriya Yoga classes under the tutorship of Master Gowri R Varadhan.

The year saw Jnana Jyothiamma go into seclusion on the directive of Agathiyar. Agathiyar is working on her to mold her into a Siddha. Siddha Heartbeat carried numerous Nadi revelations of hers for the benefit of devotees. She shall go on to spread the word of the Siddhas once her term of "self exile" is over. We are looking forward to this day.

It is said that this is the age of the Siddhas. The administrator of http://kaumarapayanam.blogspot.ru too has posted revelations from the mysterious and mystical Sri Gnanaskandar Jeeva Nadi of a Skandar Upasagar at http://kaumarapayanam.blogspot.com/2015/03/26.html, and http://kaumarapayanam.blogspot.com/2015/03/27.html. Originally in Tamil, I had posted the translation earlier at http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.my/2015/03/the-gnana-skanda-jeeva-nadi.html

The author says that each of us has taken a birth to relinquish our karmic baggage. But sadly we have forgotten the purpose and instead have engaged in increasing the karma. He relates an episode from the Skandar Upasagar's life.

Once at 6 in the morning, the Skandar Upasagar was at prayer. Suddenly he heard a voice from within. “Son! Pick up the Jeeva Nadi and read it. I have a message for you”. But as he was in deep meditation he just could not come out of it. After half an hour he finally could pick up the Nadi. He could feel a vibration go through him. “Turn to the 8th olai or leaf and read it”, he was told.

A yellow light appeared in the olai. He could make out a small figure with a beard, carrying a kamandalam or staff, and a theerta sombu or drinking vessel. The light began to glow even more brighter. Agathiyar and Lord Murugan appeared together in that glow. Both Agathiyar and Lord Murugan insisted that the Skandar Upasagar reveal their coming in the light and write about it.

Agathiyar continued, "The Siddhas will reign under my leadership soon in this age of Kali. The signs are already there. People are suffering. People do not uphold moral and virtues. Natural calamities and new diseases will surface and will be a great challenge. We shall appear at certain places, in the Nadi in the form of light and without form too for the sake of true devotees. Similarly I shall appear and grace this nadi too if Lord Murugan wishes. We shall show ways to eradicate peoples karma through this nadi."

The Siddhas have never let down the true genuine devotees who came surrendering to them. They helped them to sail through this birth, by showing the means to reduce one's karma. All they expect from them in return was true devotion and a yearning for Erai.
Jnana Jyothiamma posted the following verse: "God will take us down the paths that we never want to travel on, and onto the roads that we never want to see, just to get us to a place that we never want to leave."
The Siddhas have seen God. Agathiyar chooses to address God as Erai. The Siddhas are forever willing to guide man back to Erai's abode. That was the wish they put forward to Erai. From Sri Velayutham Karthikeyan Aiya's blog SITHTHAN ARUL at http://siththanarul.blogspot.com we understand the compassion of the Siddhas towards humanity. Karthiyen Aiya’s blog entry brings us back to time immemorial where the Siddhas, being compassionate and kind, put forward to Erai their wish to guide and save humanity. The Siddhas had wished that whoever seeks them out for solutions to their problems and surrenders to them, he shall be pardoned for his past deeds, however bad and evil they may be. The Siddhas asked that man shall not be put through the trial and tribulations and made to face the consequences of his actions but instead be saved. Erai granted the Siddhas their wish. Simply said coming to the worship of Siddhas helps to break the chain of karma. The Gnana Thiravukol or key is provided by the Siddhas.

After the audience with Erai, the next instant the Siddhas wrote down; the reasons for each individual’s sufferings; listed out solutions and remedies; wrote down ways and means to overcome or end the seeker's problems, sins, diseases, illnesses and sufferings. They wrote them in Tamil prose on dried palm leaves. This writings came to be known as the Nadi. Hence the Nadi came to be written for every individual. These Nadi have been handed to numerous individual's. The Siddhas have begun to address mankind's problems through these sacred leaves. The most compassionate Siddhas have come to guide us again in these troubled times.
