Several weeks later, Agathiyar, in a much-anticipated Nadi reading that came three years after my first reading, Agathiyar surprisingly asked me to get another initiation from Tavayogi that very night. Although he made both of us wonder what the reason was, as I had already been initiated earlier by Tavayogi, since Agathiyar directed that I receive it again in the Nadi, Tavayogi simply touched both my shoulders and sent me off.
Later, arriving at his Kallar Ashram and just before I left for Malaysia, he gave me another initiation, not before asking me if I was repeating the first initiation mantra, "Are you following all that I said?" That was how careful he was in dispensing mantras or initiating others or even dispensing advice. He never messed with others' karma, nor did he take on theirs. As the saying goes do not play with fire, this game is not for all.
Even when Tavayogi took the stage, year in and year out, he would dish the same thing. After some time, I asked him why he kept repeating and never moved on to other things. As usual, he replied to my question with another question. "Are you following all that I said?" he asked, implying that it was only proper to move on to new things if his listeners adopted and practiced all that he said.
Even when Lord Muruga came through a devotee and wanted to gift us "something," in recent years, he had us all proclaim that we had surrendered to him. Only then did he proceed to hand out the "gift". As I stood first in line, he chased me away, telling me that Agathiyar would give it to me.
When I was at Tavayogi's ashram in 2005, Tavayogi invited me to join him on his usual morning walk, the morning after I arrived. As we came down the hill where his ashram was perched, crossed the railway line connecting Methupalaiyam and Ooty, and walked towards the small township of Kallar, he turned to me and said that Agathiyar had come the night before and asked what he was going to give me, and told him that he would let him know later. Later in 2007, when Tavayogi visited Malaysia again, he showed us several Asanas and Pranayama techniques, which I adopted thenceforth. Coming in a Nadi reading later, Agathiyar told me it was a treasure that I had received from my guru. That treasure I received aroused and awakened the dormant creative force, the Kundalini, in me.
The swirling that happened in my navel over two consecutive days on 22 and 23 of August 2022, which was later felt in the crown, is now felt in the base chakra for the past few days. It made me expel bile, phelgm and wind just moments ago.
I had read Pandit Gopi Krishna's account and experience of his Kundalini awakening many years ago. Today I chanced to see a video on it. Watching it, it saddened me when we are told that,
"He was largely ignored. The western medical establishment had no category for what he described. It sounded to clinical ears like psychosis, like temporal lobe epilepsy, like a breakdown dressed in exotic language. And the eastern spiritual establishment had its own reservations. Gopi Krishna did not fit neatly into any lineage. He had no guru. He followed no formal path. He was a self-taught meditator who had stumbled into an experience that traditional systems surrounded with decades of preparation and layers of ritual safeguard. He was, in a sense, nobody's success story."
I admire that man as I go through discovering this force myself. I was lucky in a way that the Siddhas were monitoring her movement in me after Tavayogi initiated her move.
