After a lapse of two months, when Agathiyar chose not to leave AVM, my daughter invited him and Lobama to her home and carried out the homam and libation to their statues yesterday evening.
Some time back Agathiyar had answered a question from a devotee as regards to his true form, where he questioned her back what she experienced in doing puja and rituals and carrying out charity. Her answer was a feeling of accomplishment and completeness. Agathiyar replied that that was him. Now since he has brought us to let go and leave everything behind, he tells me that true joy was in letting go and doing nothing. As if to acknowledge the facts I wrote in my last post about my current experiences, Agathiyar came after the puja rituals and asked me if I was enjoying life doing nothing or what is termed "Summa Erukkum Sugam". I answered him that peace or "Shanti" was prevailing, and a feeling of completeness or "Pari Puranam" to which he said it was due to my effort. I replied "No, it wasn't" and I had to thank Supramania Swami, Tavayogi, and him for their grace. He told me that there was more to it and that it shall be felt and revealed from within in due course. I was glad and thanked him from the bottom of my heart. I guess the morning and evening walks, weather permitting, that I and my wife took daily and the breathing practice we did have kept us well for Agathiyar told the handful gathered to care for the body and health for as long as it is cared for, life shall be sustained in it. He asked those who have dropped carrying on the Yogic practices given, to pursue them. He healed my daughter too and recommended some herbal ointments to apply. We are ever so grateful to him.
