A CONGREGATION OF BEAUTIFUL ATMAS AT AVM PART 3

In was indeed a joy to realize that this blog and the numerous books compiled and posted online has helped many come to Agathiyar and the Siddhas. Along the way Agathiyar prompted me to stream live the puja at Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) through a young medical student in Russia, Stalin. What started as a private home puja and initially viewed by a single person from the USA, Jnana Jyothiamma, through Skype, eventually extended to the general public too with the blessings of Agathiyar. Many wrote in to inform that they were watching the live stream.

Just as my family and I observed and followed all the rituals that Tavayogi performed at his Kallar Ashram, those who came around to AVM and participated in the homam, abhisegam and bhajan, took back whatever knowledge they gained in conducting these rituals, and began to perform them at their own individual homes. Occasionally they used to congregate at AVM for prayer.

The many books of praise to Siddhas that AVM released served them well, many having adopted the format and sequence of prayer in their own premises.

Both Agathiyar and Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal were the catalyst for me to indulge in these rituals. Initially hesitant to carry out the directive, not wanting to turn out to be a priest, Agathiyar then revealed in the Nadi that I was not doing it for myself but for all of humanity. Only then could I accept this humongous task full heartedly.

Slowly I realized this was to be my mission too: to perform rituals, to blog, compile, published and fill the existing vacuum in Siddha worship and fulfill the needs of Agathiyar's devotees. And it so happened that Agathiyar gave me a task that I enjoyed doing.

Nadi Guru T.Ramesh, Kalai and Selvam have been very accommodating in reading the Nadi for AVM members. Agathiyar has saved us the trouble of seeking the Nadi in India. Nadi Guru Senthil had read my very first Nadi in 2002 in Malaysia. Nadi Guru Ramesh has patiently read my Nadi 53 times to-date. I am greatly indebted to him.

Bala Chandran Gunasekaran was pointed to AVM by Agathiyar in his Nadi. He held on faithfully to Agathiyar and later was a tool to propagate the Siddha path to family, relative and friends. He and his friends got together and started a group, Thondu Seivom, aimed at contributing financially and physically to society. Thondu Seivom performed their first annadhanam and prayers at the Batu Caves Murugan temple. That was a good start.

He then scouted around for a home where they could serve meals on a regular basis. He found one. Among their many projects undertaken to date is supporting a student complete her studies, providing provisions, groceries, clothing and utensils, besides sponsoring food once a month at this childrens' home.

Not remaining complacent with his on going deeds, nor neither resting on his laurels, Bala Chandran moved his family to contribute monthly towards performing an annadhanam at a handicap and mentally retarded children and elder center close to his home.  Sri Balachander Aiya has this to say about Bala Chandran, "He is a blessed soul. I feel so proud to be associated with great souls like Bala who feels that service is above self. Service to humanity is service to God. This is what ERAI wants."

Besides this noble mission, Bala Chandran has brought hundreds to Agathiyar for a Nadi reading, hence bringing many to the folds and path of the Siddhas.

Meanwhile Sri Balachander Aiya and his wife have generously opened up their home to host the numerous activities and events organised by AVM, the Agathiyar Universal Mission (AUM) and Babaji's Kriya Yoga Trust. Besides providing the space they provided delicious home cooked food for all the participants too. They have served Babaji's Kriya Yoga Trust well, coordinating their projects and sales of books on the local front. With his long standing and extensive knowledge and experience in the hotel line, it is only obvious that Sri Balachander Aiya is extremely good in organising events.

Along the way we are introduced to Yogacharya Gurudasan who is serving in Malaysia. The master volunteered to hold Kriya Yoga classes for AVM members and went on to initiate many students for the very first time, after going through an induction ceremony recently in Bangalore. He was conferred the title of Acharya and given the name Gurudasan by MG Satchidananda. Gurudasan was earlier initiated into Babaji's Kriya Yoga by MG Satchidananda too.

AVM had the pleasure of meeting another master and his student. Master Sri Arunan, an exponent of Varma Kalai and Sri Yuvaraj helped conduct classes in this ancient art form of defense and healing for AVM members and the public. Those keen on pursuing this art form can call Master Arunan at +6019 6311049. Yuvaraj through his Sri Agasthiyar Sakthi Nyaanaalayam in Kepong, has provided immense support for AVM's activities and events.

Sri Krishna of the Agathiyar Universal Mission (AUM) joined forces with AVM to bring service and devotion to a greater height. Both Sri Krishna and his wife were dictated by Agathiyar in the Nadi to help fulfill the needs of those who were given parikaram or atonements in the Nadi readings. Hence they started AUM Holidays to cater to the devotees travel needs and pilgrimage both in Malaysia and India. Seek Aum Holidays at +6012 3970 431 if you are in need of a specific and tailor-made pilgrimage.

AUM with participation from AVM went on a one day spiritual tour to caves, samadhis, ashrams and temples in Malaysia recently. Following the success of this tour, AUM has put together another spiritual package slated for 4 June 2016.

Sri Krishna and his wife had initiated and have been engaged in a feeding program, Pothigai Meals on Wheels for some time now. They prepare home cooked food to be distributed to the homeless and vagabonds in and around Kuala Lumpur city once a month during Pusam Star. AVM, Thondu Seivom and Amutha Surabhi came together to donate and joined in the distribution of food parcels.

Sri Krishna then was given an enormous task and responsibility of performing rituals at the Agathiyar temple at Eco City Sri Raja Sakthy Nageshwary Amman Temple in Kuala Lumpur, after the sudden demise of the devotee who established Agathiyar there.  Since July of last year Sri Krishna with Sri Balachander Aiya and Saravanan Palanisamy have been performing libation to the granite statue of Agathiyar and conducting the puja. Sri Krishna intends to hold a special puja for Agathiyar to commemorate a year of taking over the puja. The celebrations will fall on 7 July 2016.

Dr Tiagarajah of the Sri Mayuranathar Alayam, Pamban Kumaraguruthasa Swamigal Thirukovil in Dengkil invited AVM to hold a fest for Agathiyar, Sri Agathiyar Vizha at their premises recently (http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.my/2016/04/agathiar-vizha-part-1.html). After the success of this Vizha, AVM and AUM together with the temple management plan to hold the annual Agathiyar Jayanthi and Guru Puja Vizha at the temple grounds. This year the festivity falls on 18 December.

Dr Tiagarajah, the force behind moving many activities and events, together with the temple committee, has brought this temple to the notice and attention of the public. His dedicated team has ventured to hold numerous fests for Pamban Swamigal in other states too.

The Dr has invited members of AVM to conduct the Sathru Samhara Siva Subramania Trisathi Homam over the weekend in conjunction with Vaigasi Visagam. Saravanan Palanisamy will lead the Yagam, as he did earlier during Agathiyar Vizha. Saravanan is much talented in recitation of both Sanskrit and Tamil verses, as testified by Jnana Jyothiamma, "The Vedic invocation chants by Sara and the group at the Havan was just Superb and very pleasing", relating to the video that was uploaded on Youtube by AVM at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n50cfFzjUHQ

Saravanan is multi talented having contributed accompanying art for Sri Velayudham Karthikeyan's Sitthan Arul blog at https://siththanarul.blogspot.my/2016/05/317-52.html

He has also a talent to write songs, having penned a couple of verses on Agathiyar at AVM.

Dr Janardena with assistance from others in the medical profession has come forward to hold a medical camp at the childrens' home soon.

Dr Krishnan of Hillriche Sdn Bhd has served many devotees who where guided to him by Agathiyar and others for an alternative medicine for their illnesses and diseases. Dr Krishnan is an astrologer and a Siddha medicine practitioner. My family and I have consulted the Dr many times. I am deeply grateful to the Dr.

Sri Arivananthan, a Siddha medicine practitioner too, conducts prayers for Agathiyar and the Siddhas at the Arul Guru Agathiyar Arul Peedam in Klang. He is well versed in performing the Yagam. AVM and AUM members had the opportunity to participate in the Sidhar Magavelvi Puja at his premises recently.

Surendaren Selvaratnam, Bala Chandran, Dyalen Muniandi, Magindran, and Sugumaran have served as the messenger bringing news and updates from Kallar from their frequent trips to India. Their photos and news has graced the pages of this blog.

Many others have contributed towards making each event organised by AVM and AUM a success. To all these wonderful folks out there, I can only say:

A CONGREGATION OF BEAUTIFUL ATMAS AT AVM PART 2

Just as Sri Balachander Aiya envisioned the future of AVM taking on greater tasks ahead and heading for greater heights, adding that time will reveal, Jnana Jyothiamma too wrote in much earlier, mentioning a similar vision of AVM.
"We all have to wait and watch. This is a big turning point, as far as I can Visualize. One thing is very clear now. Our dad, Mahaguru Agasthya Maharishi has captured the hearts of countless people....devotees and other wise too. Dad is drawing many many people towards HIM and the Siddhas, in HIS own mysterious ways. This point is very clear now."
Many years back I was passed a document titled SIDDHA AGASTHYA – FOREMOST OF THE SIDDHAS by Nadi Guru T. Ramesh. In it were amazing revelations about Agathiyar, the Siddhas and their contributions towards society and humanity. In that article, Dr. Mandayam Kumar of the Siddha Medical Research Institute, Bangalore says it was possible to find out details about Agathiyar during the course of literary research on the Siddha medical sciences in a Tamil manuscript written on Nadi or palm leaves about 3,000 years ago, titled PRAPANCHA KAANDAM. Agathiyar dictated the contents of the Nadi while his student Pulastyar recorded it. The text that is attributed to Lord Murugan, runs into several volumes according to the Dr.

At one period in time, amidst all the geographical changes, Agathiyar went seeking for a place that would not be affected by future calamities. He located a mountain range in south India. This is the present day Courtalam. This spot is said to be the safest place and free from any future catastrophes.

Here Agathiyar met Lord Shiva and Uma in the form of Dhakshinamurthi and Shenbaga Devi. The spot where the meeting took place between Dhakshinamurthi, Shenbaga Devi, Lord Murugan, and Agathiyar was Mahadeva Giri. Other Siddhas arrived at Mahadeva Giri too. This congregation of the divine signified the commencement of Kali Yuga.

Lord Dhakshinamurthi revived the knowledge of the Vedas and instructed these Siddhas to propagate this knowledge at the appropriate manner and time for the benefit of humanity. The imparting of this knowledge was said to have taken place on the 21 day of the Tamil month of Kartigai, during the eleventh year, Eswara Samvatsara, of Kali Yuga. Agathiyar gave much importance to this day. All his dating was reckoned from this day.

The Siddhas recorded their knowledge on palm leaves after extensive discussions held in Alagan Kulam and presented them to Lord Dhakshinamurthi for his perusal. This included the 64 kinds of learning, 18 Puranas, 96 tatvas, and 48 branches of scientific knowledge. The entire literature in Tamil came to be called SIDDHAVEDA.

Bhogar from China (Agathiyar in the Jeeva Nadi revelation to the late Jeeva Nadi Guru of Chennai says Bhogar was from Mongolia), Thaeraiyar from Malaya, Yugimuni from Kerala, Pulipani from Kantha Malai, Pulastyar, and Kapiyar all served and helped Agathiyar fulfill Erai's wish.

Later the Siddhas went on to establish numerous institutions. An institution known as Siddhar Gnana Koodam was inaugurated by Lord Murugan and was headed by Agathiyar. Pulastyar and Kapilar headed the literary section while Pulipani in research. Thaeraiyar who was into surgery headed a medical research center established at Thorana Malai. Yugimuni who was into herbal medicines headed an ayurvedic hospital at Paradesi Kundai. Bhogar who was in charge of all scientific researches established an alchemy research center at Tiruparankundram. Pambatti was heading a team researching venom at Marudamalai.

After having established these institutions Agathiyar again started on an extensive mission of propagating the wealth of knowledge gained by these Siddhas in Tibet, Manchuria, Egypt, Palestine, Rome, America, Africa, Malaya and the Arab world.

After satisfactorily completing their mission of propagating the said teachings the Siddhas merged themselves into the cosmos: Supramaniar in Thorana Malai, Bhogar in Palani, Thaeraiyar, Pulipani and Yugimuni in Kantha Malai and Agathiyar himself choose to come back to Courtalam. He chose a spot called Dhashina Meru in the Pothigai hills. This spot is also the abode of Dhakshinamurthi.

It is amazing indeed to read that the Siddhas who headed various individual departments, congregated often to exchange notes and views and present their findings and discoveries.

On a parallel plane, Agathiyar has brought together many faithful souls to work in unison to fulfill his dictates. We are blessed indeed and grateful that Agathiyar chose AVM as a platform from which he assigns these missions.

A CONGREGATION OF BEAUTIFUL ATMAS AT AVM PART 1

Agathiyar has brought together many beautiful souls to congregate at AVM for carrying out his mission and vision. He arrived at the shores of Malaysia in the form of a bronze statue on 2 January 2010. Since then he has brought together a wonderful team of devotees committed to spread the words and the works of Agathiyar and the Siddhas. Slowly but surely he brought us to perform many tasks and hold many events for the good of mankind and humanity.

Agathiyar started me on worship of Siddhas after my very first nadi reading in 2002, several years before he even arrived in the form of the statue. When much material was lacking on the worship of Siddhas, my prime reference was the works of Thavathiru Rengaraja Desigar of Agathiyar Sanmarga Sangam, Ongkara Kudil and Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal of Kallar Ashram.

Picking from here I ventured to compile my very first work, a compendium of Siddha songs, "AGATHIYAR PUSAI - The Complete Book of Praise to Agathiyar." This compilation has grown in volume to the current 356 page edition.

When Agathiyar asked that I perform libation or abhisegam on his statue and Tavayogi instructed me to perform the lighting of the sacrificial fire or homam, I began researching further on both these rituals. Hence, THINASARI SIDDHAR VAZHIAADU and FEEDING THE FLAME was written.

What started as a webpage indianheartbeat in the late nineties, to post my drawings, sketches and favourite songs, (http://www.angelfire.com/art/indianheartbeat/) later took on a different role, that of carrying my journal entries and experiences during my maiden pilgrimage to India in 2003. Later this was abandoned when a much simplified and accelerated means to publish ones writings, blogging, came along. Hence Siddha Heartbeat took its very first beat on 28 July 2013, beating to the tune and rhythm of the Siddhas. With Agathiyar's grace Siddha Heartbeat has sustained all these years and has kept going with the numerous information and input from AVM members.

Through the Nadi reading, Agathiyar brought many to AVM. Many came after reading the blog. Several others were introduced by their friends.

It has been a journey of sheer pleasure and amazement watching silently how Agathiyar brings minds alike together for a much bigger and larger mission. All those who came to AVM were very much talented in their very own ways too. AVM was a place where these talents were exposed. Opportunities were created for further exposure of these hidden talents.

Today AVM is proud to be associated with these great atmas who only wish to serve Agathiyar. This post is to pay homage to them and to acknowledge all the great work they did towards enhancing and spreading the words of Agathiyar and the Siddhas.

As Sri Balachander Aiya aptly puts it, today we have in our midst great atmas who have come forward to work hand in hand with Agathiyar to help realize his wishes and desires.
"OUR AVM is gifted with an Acharya, Doctors, Nurses, Priest, volunteers all serving for the welfare of humanity.  Agasthiyar is building a family tree by way of AVM for some great tasks ahead. I foresee that appa is taking us to greater heights through AVM for all to contribute towards humanity. Time will reveal. As you rightly say that he is using you and your residence as a platform.  I feel that AVM is the platform."

INITIATION INTO KRIYA KUNDALINI PRANAYAMA

The first of a series of three progressive initiations into Kriya Kundalini Pranayama was conducted successfully over the weekend with 27 participants taking part. Yogacharya Gurudasan presided over the weekend seminar, his first after taking on the role of an Acharya in a simple induction ceremony in Bangalore recently. See  http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.my/2016/03/acharya-gurudasans-induction-ceremony.html and http://agathiyarvanam.blogspot.my/2016/04/initiation-weekend-seminar-initiation.html
