SIDDHAR VIZHA 2017

The Siddhar Vizha was held in several venues and homes of devotees of Agathiyar yesterday. It was wonderful to see Agathiyar's nama japam done extending beyond borders and cultures.

Khru Pedro Solana of Spain who runs an ashram in Chiang Mai, Thailand brought together his martial arts students in prayer to the Siddhas.

Master Uva started off the puja at his Sri Agasthiyar Sakthi Allayam.

Thavathiru Kumarswamigal Aiya of the Agathiyar ashram in Anuvavi, Coimbatore presided over the Maha Sathuru Samhara Rudra Mirthinjaya Yaagam held at Sri Krishna's premises.

The Sri Mayuranathar Alayam temple committee conducted a Siddhar puja too at the temple.

Several devotees conducted individual and family prayers at their own homes.

We at AVM conducted a homam, abhisegam and bhajan with AVM family and friends.

Later that night Thondu Seivom members hit the streets of Kuala Lumpur to distribute food parcels to the homeless and hungry.

AVM thanks Thondu Seivom for their wonderful thought and their deed in performing annadhanam to commemorate the Siddhar Vizha and end it in a memorable way.

IN SILENCE HE TREADS

In silence, he treads you may miss his presence
Sweetly he speaks go beyond his sentence
Appetite for love, far beyond the greatness
Light from thy eyes illuminating the darkness

Gigantic heart, it’s beating heard far and wide
Arms outstretched; a whispering guide
Fortunate are those drawn to his side
For those are few he carries back home with pride

Seeing it all, coal and gold
Never does he judge nor withhold
Still love he chooses to make him whole
His sight and sense from his heart and soul

Working tirelessly, succeed he must
For others alone morning till dusk
Bringing them close along with trust
Patience and patience never to be rushed

Within his embrace, he perceives it all
Near or far he is there before you call
Day or night his work is never done
Happy is he when we are one

Curious am I, who lies behind those eyes
Avoiding mine is much too wise
What we seek lies at his feet
He gives it all…but never his feet

Humble and shy
No name, no title, choosing to be free
Who could it be, o’ who could it be?
Guru like perfection is all over thee

Happy is he behind his pen
Fulfilling the master’s wishes again and again
A humble disguise where he resides
My plea pure soul, from me, do not hide

At the sacred feet of Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal

A devotee of Agathiyar traveled all the way to Kallar Ashram from her hometown in South Africa to spend some time with Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal. She sent me the following piece.

Fond is my memory of that crisp December morn
You strolled with me around the ashram splendor
Like a little child ecstatic to be at your side
Never can forget that sweet scent of sandal

Your words flowed with kindness and  affection
Your aura, your special attention
A time so precious, a place so enchanting
Could it be real, or was it surreal

The heart pounded in restless anticipation
To behold your gaze, such untold gratification
A spot at your feet, for just a moment so complete
The heart’s endless desirous struggle

Who dwells behind those saffron robes?
Could it be so, I long to know?
You laugh at me for it is all child’s play
Alert I must be or you win over me

Elated you are when you lose
For then, your precious feet I have glimpsed
Igniting a memory, stirring an emotion
The laughter behind it’s no longer a game

Quick is your retreat for I may not let go
Smooth is your retreat for you may not let go
Forget me not is what you said
Your words ring true in my head

Alone on earth I could never be
As long as the heartstrings pull
In front of me forever thy shall be
A sweet promise to me upheld by thee

Just a little something for our swami. He gives so much of himself to everyone. He has given so much to me. What could I possibly give back, other than what lies in the heart? I am so grateful for every moment at his feet. This has been my experience with swami hence I remain anonymous. I am sure everyone who had the blessing to meet with him will have a different divine personal experience.
