AGATHIYAR GEETHAM AUDIO CD LAUNCH

The day is finally here. Today at 7.30pm devotees of Agathiyar will get to listen to songs of praise for Agathiyar, seven beautiful, mesmerizing and energizing tracks put together by composer Jey Raggaveindra. With him are a lineup of artiste who have put there heart and soul into these songs, bringing us to the brink of estacy and tears of joy. 

Gowri Arumugam, Vinod Kumar, Vinthamaray, Jegan Shanmugam, Dr Janar and Jey himself have brought life to the lyrics penned by Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal, Gowri Arumugam, Shanmugam Avadaiyappa, Mahindran and G.Bala Chandran. Sesatre Bansuri sings the Alaap and Konnakul besides blowing the enchanting flute. Pangasaasanii Gowrisan too enchants us with her violin.

TOWARDS MAKING AN ALBUM & THE LAUNCH

Agathiyar never fails to amaze us. After attacking my senses with astounding happenings and events in India he reminded me in the Nadi that there was more to come once I was back in my homeland. True to his words he has been bombarding and shelling us with miracles leaving us in sheer amazement.

As we await the launch of his audio CD "Agathiyar Geetham" scheduled for release on 28 January 2018, he keeps amazing us bringing us to realize and accept that he was the doer and that we were mere puppets in his hands. He has humbled us truly.

Each day has brought us closer to him, each moment has brought us to realize his hand in all matters. We saw him governing us, teaching us, bringing us to new frontiers and heights.

The producer originally wanted to launch the CD at Kallar ashram where the very idea of coming out with an album for Agathiyar was seeded in her mind. Agathiyar in a Jeeva Nadi reading tasked her to take up this venture mentioning that she had his blessing. She called me from Kallar and asked if we could do it. I replied in affirmative. Once the demo of the first music track was done she went back to Kallar and both Tavayogi and she sat to write the lyrics. The day she left for the airport to return to Malaysia was also the day a devotee from AVM arrived at the ashram with her family. But as she was delayed in several places the devotee did not get to meet the producer. Amazingly Agathiyar mentioned to the devotee in her Nadi reading the day after, about the producer and that he was delighted to see that the producer had begun the project as dictated.

When Tavayogi took ill, Mataji advised us to switch the venue for the release to Malaysia. Since she had given the green light we got moving to launch the CD here. We thought of launching it at AVM during the Agathiyar Vizha on 1 February 2018. But considering that it was a home and due to space constraints, the producer asked to look for a bigger venue. I suggested the Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayagar temple in Brickfields where the annual Agathiyar Vizha was to take place on 31 January coinciding with the Thaipusam fest. A verbal agreement was obtained from the organizers to allow us to launch the CD during the fest. Then we were faced with a dilemma when told about the appending lunar eclipse on that day. Our fear turned to reality when we were told that the temples will close early on that day. During this state of uncertainties, a devotee from AVM suggested we have the event at the Vivekananda Ashram. By Agathiyar's grace, the management consented to allow us to launch the CD at their premises. As we drew up the floor layout for the event in the main monumental building we were shown another alternative building that suited even more to our requirements. We switched the place.

As we wanted this venture to be an attempt by Agathiyar's devotees we shied away from engaging commercial lyricists and instead took up the pen. As members of the AVM family sat together to draft the lyrics with the producer/ singer, we realized that Agathiyar was opening up new frontiers and creating new experiences for us. It then dawned on us that Agathiyar had brought us together many years earlier to prepare us for a venture of this nature and magnitude.

He had brought together a wonderful team of musicians and singers handpicked specifically for this project too. As the music director got his act together he had his fair share of amazement and bewilderment. He shall share one such episode on stage during the launch and many more on video. Then walks in the flutist, a long time buddy of the music director, just as the wind brings in change, they both took the stage, or studio in this case, and brought forth several beautiful, mesmerizing, elevating and soulful musical pieces. The violinist added support and flavor to the pieces giving it even more life.

As we wind up the preparations for the big day, we can only stand aside and gasp in awe and amazement at how this project was conceived and took shape within a mere 5 months, all due to the grace of Agathiyar.

CD LAUNCH

Last August, the producer of a recording company called AVM from Kallar Ashram to see if we could launch an audio Cd, a compilation of songs on Agathiyar. Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) together with Agathiyar Universal Mission (AUM), Thondu Seivom (TS) and Amudha Surabhi (AS) came together for this divine purpose. Work started on the tracks and even before we knew it we are on the final stages of releasing the album. Thedal Ulla Thenikalai (TUT) from Chennai, a partner in doing charity, has volunteered to release it in India. 

With the blessings of Agathiyar, our gurus and many divine souls we are all geared up to launch the Cd on 28 January 2018 in Malaysia and 11 February 2018 in India.

THE MAKING OF AN ALBUM 2

Life is full of lessons and is a learning process provided we are willing to stop speaking for once, and open our eyes becoming more aware to what was around us; open our ears, listening more attentively; and becoming more present in the moment, taking in the positive vibes and vibrations emitted all around us every second. So it was with us too, since we began working on the album for Agathiyar. 

The idea for this project did not come about or neither was it mooted by an individual but came in the guise of his Vaaku or spoken words through his Nadi. We saw Agathiyar's hand in all the work that we were engaged in and at each moment. Although he got us to do his work, we soon came to realize that he was moving us and things throughout the project. Over the next few posts we shall share all these wonderful and inspiring stories of Agathiyar and how he delivered these miracles.

As I sat with the producer waiting for the music director to burn his five months of dedicated work onto a polycarbonate plastic, this young upcoming music director spoke about many things. He then shared what his guru had told him with us.

This was a story of three employees who earned 800 a month each. The first employee used to shortchange the employer by playing truant, sleeping during working hours, and not delivering the amount that he was paid for. Another employee was too calculative and only did what was required of him and paid for. The last employee gave more than was asked for.

His guru then went on to explain the merits gained by each employee. The first employee was now indebted to nature due to his care less attitude and not giving an output proportional to his pay. The second was too calculative and did not want to work beyond what he was paid. The score was settled with nature. The last employee went beyond to deliver more than expected of him. To him nature was indebted and had to pay him back. Nature rewarded him without he asking.

I then realized and felt really blessed to have an entire family in AVM, AUM, TS, TUT and AS giving support to this project and off course a dedicated and talented team working on the album, who delivered more than expected. Nature shall reward them.

Nature rewards each one accordingly. That is why the wise when blessing others would say, "Yennampol Vaalvaai".

THE MAKING OF AN ALBUM 1

It all started when the producer of a recording company went to seek direction from Agathiyar in the Jeeva Nadi at Kallar Ashram in August of last year. Agathiyar asked her to start on a project and told her that she had his blessings. She called Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) to collaborate on the venture. That is how we began moving towards making an album for Agathiyar. AVM in turn roped in Agathiyar Universal Mission (AUM), Thondu Seivom (TS) and Amudha Surabhi (AS) on this venture. 

The audio CD launch is slated to take place on 28 January 2018 in Kuala Lumpur. Come along and be inspired by the many miracles that Agathiyar has performed since we began this venture. Listen to how Agathiyar moved the producer to begin this project; how he finished a missing piece of a music track for the music director; how he convinced the flutist to give more of himself towards this album beyond all our expectations; how he brought a violinist, who incidentally turned out to be a colleague's daughter, to play several pieces on the violin; and how he brought together the AVM, AUM, and TS family to contribute their talents in the making and towards the launching of this album.

FEEDING THE COWS

The Pothigai Meals on Wheels team continued ushering the Pongal fest by feeding the cows at a cowshed in Klang today.

ANNADHANAM ON A JUMBO SCALE

Sri Krishna and his team at "Pothigai Meals on Wheels" have taken a jumbo step to serve food to the elephants today. What started with street feeding soon progressed to include school students. Taking the feeding session a step further his team started feeding the cows, birds, monkeys and fishes. They soon bought birds from pet shops and released them. Today they traveled 107 km from Kuala Lumpur to the National Elephant Conservation Centre at Kuala Gandah in Pahang just to feed the elephants at this sanctuary.

 

AGATHIYAR GURU PUJA 2

Thondu Seivom (TS) members in collaboration with Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) and Amudha Surabhi (AS) walked the streets of Kuala Lumpur last night distributing buns and drinks to the hungry and homeless in conjunction with the Jayanthi and Guru Puja of Agathiyar.
