ERAI'S MYSTICAL HAND 1

The guru disciple relationship of saints has always fascinated me. My very first introduction to this subject came through Paramahansa Yogananda's "Autobiography of a Yogi." Sekharan at my office passed me a copy just before he resigned from the civil service and left for Yogananda's Ashram in Ranchi, India to become a full time monk. The year was 1994.

This amazing book opened my eyes to a whole new world of discovery, miracles and mysticism. Yogananda's experience in meeting numerous saints, swamis and yogis brought me to a state of awe and admiration for these wise men. Until then I saw God in temples only. This book made me see God in man.

Nine years forward, I was blessed to meet my very own guru Supramania Swami. Sitting at the feet of my master, I saw the world in a new perspective. He was not a preacher. He was an astrologer. His guru Yogi Ramsuratkumar had told him he would fair well in this science of predicting the future if taken up. He was a family man till his last days. He practised devotion, visited temples, and circumambulated the holy mountain Arunachala in Tiruvannamalai every full moon day without fail. The year I made my maiden pilgrimage to Tiruvannamalai was the year he missed Girivalam for the very first time. The year was 2003.

A year before Agathiyar had mentioned in my very first Nadi reading that I would meet my guru. After two weeks in India I had given up on meeting my guru in India and consoled myself that that meeting might take place once I was back home in Malaysia or sometime in the future. But by some divine interception, I stepped into his home on the pretext of wanting to see my second daughter's horoscope. Never did I dream that he would turn out to be my guru. This guru disciple relationship lasted some five years, till 2007, when he passed away. But this relationship continued beyond the physical realm as I was soon to find out.

My cellphone rang for a moment and stopped. As I picked it up I realized it was Supramania Swami's number. But his family had terminated his line after he passed away. How was this possible? When I finished relating this incident to my nephew who also knew Swami, some days later, there was a miss call while I was on the line. To my surprise again it was Swami's number. Puzzled I reconfirmed with Swami's son about the line and he assured me that it was terminated. I called the number several days later. It was now used by a businessman in Coimbatore. How do you explain this? Just as the Yogi came to his home in the middle of the night several months after his demise and handed him his painting before leaving, Supramania Swami appeared in the sukshma form or subtle form, announcing his arrival through a miracle at my home. Some months later Agathiyar in the Nadi confirms that this miracle did take place.

Supramania Swami was concerned about building a temple for Lord Murugan, a forty year old desire that he had cherished. His desire was about to come to fruition through us in Malaysia, when he was stopped abruptly by a mystery hand. A stranger calls him over to the road across his kudil and questions his motive in building the temple? Swami dropped the idea. How do you explain this?

Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal, my second guru, whom I met in Malaysia, asked us to come out of temple worship into the path of Gnana. Surprisingly he started on a venture to build a temple, for Agathiyar and successfully completed it last December. The temple cum ashram stands modestly in Kallar, India. How do you explain this?

Who can fathom or understand the workings of Erai?

GIFTS FOR AVM

Today AVM received the amazing and sacred Saligramam, a gift from Dylan who just returned from Muktinath, Nepal. Muktinath is known as Mukti Kshetra, the place of liberation or moksha, its ancient name being Thiru Saligramam.

This being the very first time I was seeing a Saligramam up front and holding it, I was surprised to see a design engraved on it. I had all this while thought that it was yet another ordinary pebble from the river bed.

Surfing the net I came to know of some amazing and astonishing facts about the Saligramam.

1. It carries the symbol of Lord Vishnu's Sudarshana chakra! The Sudarshana Chakra is a spinning, disk-like weapon, having 108 serrated edges. (Source: wikipedia.org)

2. Besides the Kusha-grass or Dharbai, the Pipal-tree and the Tulsi-plant, the Saligramam-stone is also considered auspicious, sacred and is worshipped as Lord Vishnu. In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says, "I am the Peepal tree among the trees, Narada among the sages, Chitraratha among the Gandharvas, and sage Kapila among the Siddhas." (Source: wikipedia.org)

3. The Saligramam is said to be found only in the Gandaki River, situated high in the Himalayas in Nepal, hence it is considered rare and valuable.

Receiving the Saligrama opened up a whole new world of mystery. It is believed that the chakra symbols are formed by river worms called Vajra Keeta (the adamantine worm) and that these worms drill the stones, get into it and dwell in it; while others believe it is the fossil or the remains of a sea creature called ammonites. (Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk%3AShaligram)

The river worm reminds me of a BBC documentary that I saw some time back, where the Japanese Pufferfish, using its fin draws beautiful ornate circles, on the sea bed to attract, court and engage passing females. Once the female accepts the courtship, it moves in (into the design) to inspect the masterpiece, lays its eggs, and the male fertilizes it. The female leaves, leaving the male to guard the eggs. The male then destroys his lovely creation.

Once when I was sitting in the living room of a relative's home alone, as the womenfolk were in the kitchen and their children were out, I heard a strange repetitive sound in that quiet moment. I looked around but saw nothing. When I questioned my sister-in-law she told me it was their fish that was stacking the stones in the aquarium! True enough it brought stones from one corner of the aquarium to the other, picking the stones in its mouth and dropping it later at its destination. If the Pufferfish was an architect, this was a builder!

Erai's creation is truly amazing!

A tiny Japanese pufferfish creates a grand sand sculpture on the featureless seabed by using his fins to dig furrows. He uses this to attract the attention of passing females.(Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/zsjfyrd)

AVM family had journeyed to the Pothigai Hills and Agathiyar's abode at its peak in August of 2015. Bala Chandran brought back some pieces of rock as instructed by "Aiya" in trance. AVM was blessed to receive a piece.

When my family and I returned to Malaysia after a five day stay at Kallar ashram in 2013, Tavayogi gifted us with Agathiyar's padham or sandals and vaasikol or staff made from the fallen Nuna tree (நுணா or Morinda pubescens or Indian Mulberry) in the old ashram grounds.

Thavathiru Muthukumar Swamigal of Kutralam materialized a rudraksha bead from thin air and gifted it to AVM when he visited Malaysia some time back.

The biggest gift we at AVM have received to date is having Agathiyar come into our lives and we are grateful to him for: giving us an opportunity to serve him indirectly; for guiding us on his Siddha path; for being a force field or kavasam; for bringing positive thoughts and values into our consciousness; for bringing us to do charity; and for slowly helping us accumulate good merits to counter our past karma. Hopefully one day we would be void of karma entirely and return to his abode to serve him directly.

Homage to Sadguru Sivananda Murthy by Isaikkavi Ramanan

BLESSED TO HAVE A MEAL

As I grew up with my siblings, we would have a proper meal only once a day, at lunchtime. My mother would gather us together in a circle and roll out whatever leftovers from the midday meals into balls or lumps of food and feed us at night. Although we were not well off, but there was always food on our table. We never went hungry.

Prior to being posted back to headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, I served eight years in Lumut, beginning my career there. I stayed with my officemates as a bachelor, in the government quarters for 8 years. We used to cook ourselves. I learnt the Malay culture and realized that it is a beautiful one. Later when posted to KL, I stayed with them in a rented apartment for close to a year.

I turned to vegetarian overnight for no reason at all in 1998.

While another senior colleague used to flee his office whenever there was a gathering or function at his office, on the pretext that there was no vegetarian food for him, I attended every single function and sat through it, although I knew pretty well there won't be anything for me either. I usually end up taking fruits and drinks. But the meal was secondary to me. I wanted to be in the company of my workmates and friends. My wife and I would usually sit at the Malay wedding receptions taking fruits and a drink. It did not bother us as we knew our presence was appreciated.

Initially my colleagues would look at me with curiosity when I mention that I was a vegetarian. They would ask to know the reason for being a vegetarian and suggests other non viable options. Most of the time they would end up apologising when they realize I could not take what was on the menu.

As I kept attending these functions they began to take notice of my preference and "special needs"and began to cater a single vegetarian meal for me, either at the office, the hotels or at the wedding receptions.

I used to send my colleague back home from office as her house was on my way home. She used to prepare food for office functions too. I used to notice her generosity where she prepared a larger quantity than what was catered for. The breakfast that she prepared would go till lunch time and even last till evening. In between we will have staffs from other units drop by and also have some pack it away too. She was always generous with the portions.

Then she tells me one day as we were driving back home, that the more she gave, the more she received in return, sometimes in multifolds. I was not a generous person till then, hardly having much for myself and spending only on essentials for myself and the family. Not that I did not want to but the idea of giving, sharing, and feeding others never came to my mind till then.  I learnt to care, give and share from the majority Muslim staffs in my department.

My colleague too used to cook a separate dish for me. Later I told her that she could cook the same dishes she was going to serve others but minus the meat, egg and seafood. So she would take a small portion of the dish while it's still cooking over the stove for me, before she added the meat, etc. This simplified her job as she need not cook separately for me.

In the mornings my lady colleagues would prepare food for themselves and bring more for the other office staffs too. They would take the trouble to prepare a vegetarian version of the same dish and ask me to join in. Soon my officemates too ate vegetarian, and ordered vegetarian. When I went out with my friends for food, they would ask that I buy them vegetarian food too.

Once my boss, and a Major in the army and I went outstation. After our official work was over, she drove us to the stalls at a beach front in Penang island. They spoke excitedly about the seafood that was offered at these stalls. I could see their joy in wanting to try the food there. After walking the whole stretch of the stalls lined up at the beach front, she suddenly realized that I could not take the food there. They changed their minds and headed back to the hotel where I could find something to eat. I never went hungry.

When we stopped at the Rests and Service Areas along the Highways or at stalls or restaurants along the way, to stretch our legs, refresh, and eat and drink, while on outstation trips or to attend courses, my colleagues would go ahead of me and scout to see if I could eat there. They would ask the owners if the food was suitable for a vegetarian. I will order a la carte if available, otherwise have a pastry and a drink. Once after a seven hour journey by bus from KL to Kuala Terengganu, we stopped at the outskirts of the coastal town to have our midday meal. I saw that the stall had nothing to offer for me. I asked if the cook could fry something for me. She turned down saying a la carte was only available later at night. I sat to have my drink while my busload of officemates took their meal. They were concerned that I could not eat after the long journey. Suddenly out of the blues the cook came to me and asked to state what I wanted and that she would cook for me. I never went hungry.

Soon I was given special attention in all functions and wherever I go with them, not because I was a somebody but because of my choice of food intake. Never once did my Malay colleagues let me go hungry. On the contrary I was very well fed.

When my colleague Muralitharan Saminathan and I headed for Brickfields for lunch as it was a Friday and we had a long lunch break, what was a scorching heat suddenly began to pour as we approached the restaurant. We had to park on the kerb next to the Sri Karpaga Vinayagar temple as the parking lots were full. But we could not get out of his four-wheel drive as yet as it was raining cats and dogs. As we sat there inside his vehicle, I made a passing statement saying that Agathiyar was in the temple. He turned to look at me and with a mischievous glee on his face asked me if I thought Agathiyar would send us an umbrella! As soon as he said that a man who was standing at the five foot way ahead of us began to walk towards us, umbrella in his hand. He stopped short of the window on my side and knocked on it. As my friend lowered the automated window he asked us to follow him. He led us to the restaurant. We both sat down at the table giving each other a look of astonishment!

When Ganeson returned from Ongkara Kudil in Turaiyur, India, captivated by the service of feeding the poor on a massive level by this society, he wished that he could do the same each day back in Malaysia. To his surprise his wish was granted when each day someone came to him asking for food and insisting it should be vegetarian. What was more surprising was that they were Malaysian Indians, Malaysian Chinese and Malays.

While in the midst of recording on video, the annadhanam programme at a primary school recently, an inner voice told me to go out of the room as someone had arrived. I left the teachers lunch room, hurriedly  and walked towards the front entrance of the school. That is when I saw Rajah Aiya trying desperately to reach Sri Krishna on the phone. As Sri Krishna was serving the kids, he was not aware of the incoming call from Rajah Aiya and was not answering. Disappointed in coming all the way from his office and not able to help out in the feeding programme, Rajah Aiya was considering to return to office, when I arrived. Agathiyar wanted me to bring Rajah Aiya over to join us in serving the school children. After the children and teachers had their meal we had ours. Amazing!

A GREAT SAMARITAN

Just days after the Medical Camp at the old folks home in Semenyih, Roshan (Hari) Sekhon, came forward to contribute in buying the prescriptions, medicines and medical supplies, for the inmates. AVM thanks him for his generosity.

HOW TIME FLIES

Rakesh wrote in his blog today, ஓடுவது முள் அல்ல...நம் வாழ்க்கை, meaning it's not the clock that ticks, but our lives that is ticking away. (http://tut-temple.blogspot.my)

It has been a year now since Tavayogi and Mataji came down to Malaysia. How fast time flies. During the time he was here AVM embarked on a round of Puja bringing AVM Agathiyar to the homes of AVM family members accompanied by Tavayogi and Mataji. Puja which included lighting the Homam and libation or Abhisegam for Agathiyar, was conducted in the homes of AVM family members by their family. Today 3rd July, exactly a year ago, puja was held at Sri Krishna's home.

Yagams were lit at the Sri Jeganatha Swamigal temple in Tapah; the Tannermalai temple at the foot of Maxwell's hill in Taiping; and closer to home at Agathiyar's temple in Eco City.

Tavayogi read the Jeeva Nadi while in Malaysia, bringing it over to Singapore too for the benefit of those staying across the causeway.

After his return to India, at the invitation of Tavayogi, AVM family gathered at Kallar Ashram to celebrate Agathiyar's Jayanthi and Guru Puja. AVM family was given the honor to participate in the Sarva Dosa Nivarana Maha Yagam.

The next Guru Puja will fall on 4 January 2018 and again on 26 December 2018.

ANNADHANAM

Sri Krishna with financial assistance from samaritans began another noble program of providing meals to Standard Six students (12 year olds) who have to stay back during the afternoon for extra classes, where their teachers coach them in preparation for the UPSR examination in September. Transport too has being arranged to send these students back home after their classes are over in the evenings. This program began today and will run for 57 days.

AVM's Medical Camp

MEDICAL CAMP

Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) and Thondu Seivom (TS) with financial assistance from Amudha Surabhi (AS) held their very first Medical Camp today at an old folks home, the Pusat Jagaan Syurga Warga Emas, Kg Sireh, Semenyih.

Dr Janar and Dr Sangkari led the team in screening the inmates, giving prescriptions and advice.

AVM family too went through the screening.

THE IDEAL COUPLE, THE IDEAL DEVOTEE

They had journeyed together, not only in this birth but throughout several past births. They joined hands to serve Agathiyar and his devotees and to spread the Siddhas fame. Meet Sri Krishna and his wife Sri Dewi. Together with their teenage daughter and a toddler they travelled from temples to peedhams serving Agathiyar.

Sri Krishna had been exposed to the teachings of the Siddhas as early as a student and a teen when Nadi readers used to occupy his uncle's home and provided readings to the public. Since his parents demise, Sri Krishna was brought up by his uncle, hence began his journey on the Siddha path.

Soon he began to translate the Nadi readings in English for non-Tamil speaking clients. The couple took them on pilgrimages and tours specifically drafted to conduct remedies for these clients.

They learnt Siddha medicine, its preparation and its application, and soon prepared these medicines for consumption.

They picked up Yoga and began to teach students and others.

They helped organize many forums and conferences related to the Siddhas.

Finally Agathiyar brought them to perform his libation or abhisegam at his temple at Eco City.

Today they have begun to revive all the programs that had been stalled and brought to a halt due to the hands of destiny and fate, for some 4 1/2 years when they met losses and hardship. I wonder if I could have withstood the amount of hardship that they had gone through. It was truly a test of their faith and belief, devotion, perseverance and patience. They came through it fine, seeking shelter in the comforting arms of the most compassionate father, Agathiyar, through trying times.

They have initiated some new programs too including the noble act of feeding; feeding those on the streets and homeless through their "Pothigai Meals on Wheels" programs; feeding students in schools that hold extra classes and have longer hours, and teaching simple Yoga lessons for the elderly.

It has been an amazing journey for this couple having  to go through ups and downs, taken through hell on earth, beaten and molded so that they could shine.

Siddha Heartbeat honors Sri Krishna and Sri Dewi in the service to Agathiyar.

JOINT PRAYERS

SEEING THINGS IN THE POSITIVE LIGHT

Life is meaningful. As I traveled through this miraculous, mysterious and mystical journey of life, I began to understand that every happening and event is a lesson for us to learn and evolve for the better and every person we meet has a contribution to make towards our development. I soon began to see things in a positive light, however bitter it was. After each happening I would ponder and question myself what was the lesson in it for me? Similarly I used to think what was the lesson for the other person?

When news of misappropriation, fraud, devious tactics and tricks of others surface, I began to reflect on it and understood that it was shown to me or came to my attention so that I would not repeat the same. These episodes then became reminders for me to be on my guard and move on.

With continuous prayers Agathiyar has stood by as a force field (kavasam), making sure I do not fall prey to dubious gurus and the many devious schemes cooked by others. When there was a string of thefts in my neighbourhood some time back, my family and I remained safe!

As Poet Ramanan mentions in a talk, "The guru shall come by, according to our wants, needs and desires and what we deserve", I understood that we attracted the person, the circumstances and situation according to our vasanas, thoughts, desires and karma.

It is said that the soul picks the family to be born in, where it is conducive for it to learn and gain a particular experience and hence "grow."

Similarly with the Nadi readings, I understood that the reading takes form and its outcome happens accordingly to our thoughts, faith and belief.

Since I have spoken much about the Nadi and my experiences, many write in with questions and queries, thinking I am a Nadi reader. Although I am not one and I do not have any Nadi, I would like to share some pointers with prospective Nadi seekers. To those who seek a Nadi reading, please find out who Agathiyar is before you go for a reading. You could watch the following movie to get an idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywS30oA87Ks

Many go for a reading equating the Nadi with many other forms of astrology and predictions, failing to realize that the Nadi revelations are divine in nature. Understand that the revelation is not from the reader but Agathiyar or another Siddha, or Rishi according to the Nadi read. The Nadi reader is only a tool in reading, comprehending and passing on the contents of the Nadi. The Nadi reader is only a medium in receiving and transmitting the message.

Thank the person who tells you about the existence of this ancient script. Many are not aware of its existence.

Thank your stars if you have easy access to these sacred Nadi. Many might be yearning to read it but do not have access to it.

Thank the lord if you have the thought of reading the Nadi. My tour agent used to bring planeloads of Malaysians to Vaitheeswaran but never once stepped in for a Nadi reading.

Sit before the Nadi with reverence. Listen carefully and answer the reader accordingly. Give him your fullest cooperation. You must remember that you are jointly working together with the reader here to locate the correct Nadi that details your life. Both the reader and you must be in the appropriate state of mind for the divine to deliver their messages through the Nadi.

In event you get to identify your Nadi, be thankful to Agathiyar for there are many who cannot locate their Nadi.

If you are told to perform a remedy before continuing with the reading, do as told.

If in the final reading you are given remedies be grateful for it, understand that here you are given an opportunity to rectify your past mistakes. There are some who have to live with their karma.

If you are able to carry out your remedies be grateful for there are those who cannot seem to do it, having to face delays, obstacles and difficulties in carrying out these remedies.

If your remedies revolve around temple worship and charity be grateful, for there are those who are given extreme and difficult tasks and remedies.

If you need to part with your money in doing the remedies, sometimes an hefty sum, submit to it. Understand that money can be earned but not health and life.

If the resulting reading is otherwise and not to your expectation, understand that you have only yourself to blame. You could have picked out a wrong Nadi. You could have doubted the Nadi or the reader. The reader might not be in top form that day.

I would have made a grave error while identifying my Nadi, if I had been careless. My name, my parents name, the number of siblings I had and their careers, and my career, all tallied. I was almost on the verge of admitting that it was me, and mine, my Nadi, when Sentilkumar mentioned the name of my wife as something else. When I gave a big "No" as an answer to my wife's name, Sentil told me it wasn't mine and we then moved on to another leaf and went about the process of elimination in selecting my Nadi. I finally found mine and had my very first reading. A questioned still lingers in my mind though. Is there someone out there with the same credentials as me but married to one Manogari?

Dr Krishnan once told me that I was surviving and still alive due to the grace of the divine. The divine had substituted, out of love for me, choosing to make me lose my money rather than my life, hence sparing my life. A friend of mine too was told the same, his Nadi reading done in Chennai.

If you lose your money, property or wealth, take it positively, understanding that he has spared you your life.

If you do at all fall for a fraud and cheat, take it positively too, understanding that he has taken on your karma and you have been relieved of yours.

When there are instances where something nasty happens to me or takes place, I understood that there was a need to fulfil another's thoughts, desires and karma, equally as there was a need to fulfil mine. If it looks like I was placed forcibly in an awkward situation, one that is undesirable, one that I am not in favour off, but yet it takes place, I understood it as being partly my karma and/ or that of the other.

Just as there are two sides to a coin let us choose to see the bright side, seeing things in the positive light at all times.

AMAZING MYSTERIES IN LIFE - MIRACLES

When I was with Supramania Swami, his devotion for his guru Yogi Ramsuratkumar who had gone into samadhi earlier, brought him out of his samadhi and have him chant his mantra with us. Amazing!

When I travelled with Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal, he assured me that the Siddhas were around, inviting us and showering their blessings on us! True enough Agathiyar opens his left eye in a granite statue of his at Agasthiyampalli and later both eyes at Kuttralam. Amazing!

Agathiyar  showed me miracles in India, and he kept his word when he promised to show many more back in Malaysia, the pinnacle of it being Agathiyar opening his eyes in the bronze statue at AVM. Amazing!

Agathiyar singled out a long time devotee of his, delivered a message to him through a Nadi reading, asking him to print copies of this photo and have it distributed to his devotees. Amazing!

Over the years Agathiyar started me vigorously on rituals. He sent individuals over to my home to participate in the puja. They took back whatever little they learnt and started conducting puja in their homes. Occasionally we gathered at my home, Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM), coined to identify and facilitate mention, to hold satsangs and puja. Agathiyar started us on performing charity besides puja. We began to conduct healing sessions held by two Varma masters from the AVM family. Tomorrow with Agathiyar's grace we shall begin our very first medical camp at an old folks home conducted by doctors from the AVM family. Amazing!

During my return journey to Kallar Ashram and the rests of Tamil Nadu several years later, in December of last year, with the accompaniment of the AVM family, Agathiyar came on three instances as a lady! He appeared at Sri Rangam while we were looking for Ramanujar's samadhi. He appeared at Bhogar's samadhi at Palani, sitting with us and listening and urging us to speed up the recitation of the names of Siddhas or Siddhar Potri, before the temple closed for the day. He appeared to Dylan at Kallar Ashram and received the food from him. This was confirmed by "Aiya" in trance later. Amazing!

Dylan left on a pilgrimage to Nepal on 27 June, flying to Kathmandu, then traveling for some 16 hours and trekking to Thiru Saligramam (Mukthinath, Nepal), a journey that he did not plan to do, but fell in place within a couple of days.

This mount next to Everest, is Annapurna mount, a view seen for 2 to 3 minutes only

Everyday is an amazement. Agathiyar keeps performing miracles in the AVM circle. Each AVM family member has a story to share. We are indeed blessed.

AMAZING MYSTERIES IN LIFE - THE NADI

When astrological predictions by renowned astrologer Dr Krishnan did not materialize for me I was seeking to know the reason. He told me to check out my Nadi if there were curses. I was told that I had and thank God I was shown a way out of it. When my ascendant or lagna (which is the first moment of contact between the soul and its new life on earth) as revealed in the Nadi did not match with my previous astrological charts, Dr Krishnan recalibrated my chart working back based on the positioning of the planets as laid out by the Siddhas. I should then have been born after daybreak and not at dawn. So the question then arose, which should I follow. The dear Dr advised me to follow the Siddhas word. Amazing!

And so my journey with the Siddhas began. They called me in for further Aasi readings regularly, at times weekly. Each time I would read out or narrate what was told to my wife. We both realized how blessed we were. Soon I thought that she too should go for a reading, and listen to what Agathiyar had to say for her. She had not seen an astrologer prior to this as there was no record of her time of birth although she knew the date. As we sat at Nadi Nool Aasan Ramesh's office to be called in for a reading, he was surprised to see us there. Apparently we both misunderstood over the appointment on the phone. So we excused ourselves and left without a reading. I did not follow up on my wife's appointment, neither did Ramesh call me regarding it. As I was having regular Aasi readings, he called me in one day. Leaving me in the room to fetch the Nadi in the adjacent room, he returned with an astonished and surprised look on his face. He told me the reading was for my wife! He began to read it. Agathiyar addressed my wife in her absence. The entire reading was for my wife. Amazing!

It is a known fact that one needs to give an imprint of his/her thumbprint and sit through and answer a series of questions to locate one's Nadi. But in my wife's case Agathiyar made an exception. He skipped all these tedious process and gave her his blessings through an Aasi reading! That was the only reading she had, besides a couple of queries answered by Agathiyar over the phone for her, all without her having to be present! Amazing!

Agathiyar discloses several previous births of mine and the AVM family. I was told about four previous births of mine, very casually, two to me and another two in Bala Chandran's Nadi. Amazing!

Many write to me asking to see the Nadi thinking I am a Nadi reader. I do not have a Nadi, nor am I a Nadi reader. I went for a Nadi reading to find out if I was cursed (saabam). Dr Krishnan told me that the Siddhas were great souls and seers who could tell about ourselves, our past, present and future, including if we have a curse. That information amazed me. But I only had the opportunity to see mine six years later, when the subject about the Nadi cropped up again through my office colleague. It was an amazing discovery. After having seen three chapters of the Kaanda Nadi initially; having blessed to receive further Aasi Nadi readings, fifty of them, to date; blessed to have a personal family reading and also one for the AVM family through Tavayogi's Jeeva Nadi; several other readings for the AVM family that came through AVM family members; having read the numerous Nadi revelations from Agathiyar's beloved son the late Amarar Hanumathdasan of Chennai, and those from other Nadi sources, I gained much insight into the mysteries of life. It is amazing indeed!

I went for the reading with devotion each time. I only saw Agathiyar speaking through the Nadi Nool Aasan. There was not a single iota of doubt or disbelief in the reader, the message delivered through the reading nor in the source. I was there for the message - only for the message! Nothing else was important. I did not investigate the reader or the source. I took every syllable and word that was read as the gospel truth. I did as instructed. Neither have I switched and gone to another reader on my own accord, for a reading. But the most compassionate father kept these messages coming in through AVM family members. If Agathiyar had addressed me personally providing a reading, today he speaks to all of us at AVM. The messages are for the total upliftment of every single member at AVM. It has gone beyond an individual and has encompassed all those faithful to him. Today I see the fruits of this faith and belief I had on Agathiyar. So have all the members in the AVM family. Amazing!

When I went for one instance of a reading, having nowhere else to park my car, I parked it directly in front of the Karpaga Vinayagar temple in Brickfields. As I was in the vicinity of the temple, I decided to buy a garland from the florist outside the temple and garlanded Agathiyar, before I arrived for the reading. At the onset of the reading, Agathiyar surprised me saying that I had just garlanded him! When on another day, as I sat waiting for Ramesh to return with the Nadi, looking at the paintings of the Siddhas at his altar, I was thinking how gifted I was to have come to Agathiyar and the Siddhas. Upon reading the Nadi Agathiyar mentioned these thoughts that were going on in my mind.

Similarly, when Bala Chandran after a long tiring night working at his plant, decided to go ahead with his family annadhanam at an old folks home the next morning and finally settled in in front of Agathiyar for a reading late in the evening, Agathiyar surprised him saying that he understood how tired Bala was! Let us not single out the Nadi as a tool of communication from the Siddhas and messages revealed by them but above and beyond that, let's view it as consciousness addressing our needs of the day, coming in this form to extend its aid to the helpless and deserving seekers.

CREATING DIVINE MUSIC

My late father used to run a theater in India back in those days. My uncle used to bring in films from India and screen them in local theatres. As a youngster I used to frequent the Tamil cinema, reading up on it and advising others whether the movie was worth watching. The cheapest ticket cost 35 cents then and I would be seated in the front row for every show. Soon the desire to become a director grew in me. I began to learn about movie making from books. But good sense then made me drop the idea of taking up art as a career and directing as a profession. Instead I landed myself in engineering.

But my desire to make movies was soon fulfilled. When I brought my spiritual ventures and experiences to the web and blog, I began to make videos. Agathiyar and Tavayogi became the stars of my movies. Tavayogi too had produced two movies before he became a turavi.

After a day of hard labour, our forefathers turned to the silver screen to wind down, relax and fantasize for some three hours before they went back to the reality of the world. The cinema has given many uplifting movies, stories and songs over the years. At the end of the movie truth will triumph over false; good will prevail over evil, bringing to the audience moral statements to be followed. It brought devotion and the philosophy behind it, visually, to the audience. Siddha Heartbeat takes a break from the usual posts, and brings you into the world of cinema, a wonderful medium to bring messages to the masses.

The film industry brought many ithihasa, puranas, scriptures and teachings to the masses through the cinema. It was a noble act of educating common folk, bringing the age old philosophies, in visual form that even the unschooled could comprehend and understand and bring it into their daily lives.

Besides movies based entirely on these scriptures, they made social movies that carried these values and thoughts. These wonderful teachings were carried in the songs which were part of these movies.

Muthukumar Swamy, who had worked closely with the late poet Amarar Kannadhasan, posted the following videos in conjunction with and in appreciation of the poet laureate of Tamil Nadu, to coincide with the birthday of Kannadhasan on 24 June on fb.

Esai Kavi Ramanan who as a teen, came to meet Kannadasan, speaks passionately of him and how down to earth he was in a series of videos.

Just as Agathiyar said, "உனக்கு வழி காட்டும் புனிதநூல் உன்னால் மட்டுமே எழுதப்பட முடியும். அது உன்னுடைய அனுபவங்களைக் கொண்டுதான் எழுதப்பட வேண்டும்", or "Unakku vazhi kaathum punitha nool unnaal matthume yezhutappada mudiyum. Athu unnudaiya anupavangalai konduthaan yezhuthappada vendum", - "You have to write your own guidebook for your journey, based on your experiences", Kannadhasan exemplified his sayings.

He translated his life into words that took the form of songs in the movies. He gave us many amazing songs that gave hope and strength to face life.

Taking inspiration from our peers in the music industry, AVM today is proud to have several singers who come together in prayers. Jegan, Srimathi Vinthamaray, Balamurugan, the Rajah-Malathy children and my own.

Jegan or Jay.S, who writes his own lyrics has had some albums to his credit and was in the limelight some time back. https://www.facebook.com/genieworkzstudios/videos/1505812236127941/. Srimathi Vinthamaray used to sing soul stirring numbers from the Thiruarutpa during our bhajans. Balamurugan grew up singing Thevaram and other devotional songs in his estate temple. The Rajah-Malathy children were trained in singing the Thevaram. My daughters have had a short stint learning Sangeetham and do dish out some nice numbers. Dr Jana composed BGM for AVM videos. We have Hari, a cinematographer and director in the making. Many others in the AVM family were mooted to join in rendering wonderful hymns and songs. AVM is blessed to have all these talents gather and sing the grace of Agathiyar and Erai.

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

When Tavayogi told me that Agathiyar had come the night of my arrival at Kallar the very first time and asked what he was giving me, I was skeptical. I remained quiet. When he took me on a pilgrimage to Siddha caves and temples, he would point out that the Siddhas came as an aroma and a particular scent; that they came as the wind and the breeze. I would just stare into the sky not comprehending what he was telling me. You only belief if you saw, right?

But when Agathiyar opened his left eye as he had promised in my Nadi, in his very aged and worn out granite statue of his at Agasthiyampalli, I stepped into a realm of Siddhas where anything was possible. He then surprised me by opening both his eyes in another granite statue of his at the Kutraleswarar temple. In both occasions Tavayogi hushed me and led me out in a jiffy, never giving me a moment to explore the miracle further or investigate it.

When Vimalan and Suresh of Thiruvannamalai whom I met at Kallar Ashram in 2005 invited me over to their hometown, I called them the moment I reached Supramania Swami's kudil. They came over immediately. They volunteered to bring Swami and me to the temple later that evening. After visiting Annamalaiyar, they brought us to a run down Shiva temple nearby that apparently was "discovered", cleaned and was maintained by a young man who happened to come by. They asked him to narrate to me what had taken place at the temple. It seems one day a man came along as he was alone at the temple. After some exchange of words, the stranger took the lad by the hand and led him to the inner sanctum of Lord Shiva. The stranger placed his finger into a small crack in the wall behind the Shivalinga, and apparently entered the hole. What remained of him was his hand holding on to the lad. The lad panicked and pulled his hand away in fear! The stranger identified himself as Esaki before entering the portal.

When I returned to Malaysia, Agathiyar spoke about his miracles and told me many more will happen in my homeground.

I began to believe that anything was possible.

When a veterinarian doctor from Ooty who frequented Kallar Ashram, visited the home of a couple who worshipped Agathiyar, and was invited to enter the prayer room, upon opening the door he witnessed Agathiyar get up immediately from a sleeping position, tie his hair lock before disappearing. The doctor shared with me this story when he was accompanying Tavayogi in Malaysia.

Many years later in 2013, Jnana Jhothiamma tells me an almost similar story one that she witnessed at AVM. It was also during her visit that Agathiyar opened his eyes in our very own bronze statue at AVM and created a spectacle. Later a long time devotee of Agathiyar was directed in the Nadi to print and distribute this particular photo of AVM Agathiyar.

The mother of a devotee of Agathiyar usually stayed alone as her son works long hours in a hotel. Her company during these moments seems to be Agathiyar. She used to tell her son that Agathiyar would massaged her aching feet. Recently she had a fall in their home. As she called out for Agathiyar, he appeared, questioned her why she was not more careful and lifted her up, bringing her a few steps to his painting hanging in the hall before disappearing into it.

Welcome to the world of possibilities, the realm of the Siddhas. Have an open mind and be prepared for all possibilities. Anything is possible in the world of the Siddhas.
