A WALK IN THE WOODS

The AVM family took a long walk in the woods, a portion of the Malaysian rain-forest at the Air Hitam Forest Reserve (Height: 233m GPS Coordinates: 3.024687, 101.629745) that has been reserved for studies by the local University Putra Malaysia, yesterday. We were led by two experienced hikers from AVM, Perarulalan and Balamurugan who have scaled the heights of Mount Kinabalu, Gunung Tahan and several other peaks with Balamurugan having trekked to Kailash too. We at AVM are indeed blessed to have Agathiyar bring together great souls who are themselves exponents in their own fields to share their knowledge and experience with us.

Next on the agenda is a hike cum dip in a waterfall at the same woods.

THE LOVE OF A GURU

He came into our homes and our hearts. He brought love with him. He opened our hearts. He brought us out of our cocoon into the world. He showed us another world - his world - a world filled with miracles, amazement, joy and bliss. All he asked of us was to surrender unto him. Once we surrendered he took hold of us. It was then all his doing. We were mere witnesses. He amazes us everyday. He teaches us in subtle ways not through a discourse but through everyday living. He apprehends us if we deviate. He praises us for a job well done. He shows ways to burn out our karma. He allows us to exhaust our desires. Once done with our desires he starts working on us. He brings us to do his work on this plane. We become apostles of him. That is the Guru. That is Agathiyar.

Pothigai Meals on Wheels, a voluntary Soup Kitchen team headed by Sri Krishna took to the streets of Kuala Lumpur this afternoon to distribute food parcels to the hungry.
