THE NEED TO FULFILL ONE'S VOWS

My mother-in-law recovered from an illness recently. Both my father-in-law and she had vowed to give free food or annadhanam upon her recovery. Yesterday we carried out the annadhanam as promised at the Kanthan Kallumalai Sri Kaliamman Kovil, Chemor. Perak. As it was a full moon, there was a large turnout of devotees, whom we fed to their satisfaction.



Agathiyar mentions that it is important to fulfill one's long standing vows immediately to avoid unnecessary obstacles, disappointments, delays and inconveniences. He mentions an episode in the Jeeva Nadi revelation pointing out its importance.    

A devotee of Agathiyar who had received his blessings in the Jeeva Nadi before taking up a job in Dubai called the Jeeva Nadi Guru back in Chennai on the second day of his arrival in Dubai. He informed the Jeeva Nadi Guru that he had lost his travel documents and cash. He only realized it was missing when he was at a counter to pay for the stuff that he had purchased. He wanted to know from Agathiyar if he would get back his travel documents and cash.

The Jeeva Nadi Guru looked into the Nadi if Agathiyar had an answer for him. Agathiyar in the Nadi mentions that the lad was a true devotee and that he has diligently followed Agathiyar’s Nadi. 

“He shall get back what he lost. Ask him to pray to his Kuladeivam and Puttaparthi Mainthan. This lad had taken Satya Sai Baba as his Guru and frequented Puttaparthi helping with the chores." 

So why was he in this predicament? The Jeeva Nadi Guru seeks answers from Agathiyar on his behalf.

Agathiyar reveals further, “This lad had promised to conduct Garuda Utsavam at the temple of his Kuladeivam. Even after eight years, he had not carried out his promise. He had also promised to feed 100 people at Puttaparthi if he landed the job in Dubai. However, in his haste to leave for Dubai, he did not do as promised. If he had done as promised he would not have landed himself into this trouble.”

The Jeeva Nadi Guru waited for the lad’s call from Dubai. The lad called again. When the Jeeva Nadi Guru mentioned what was revealed in the Jeeva Nadi, the lad recalled his promises and promised to fulfill them once he was back home. He added that he had just received a call from the shopping outlet. The shopkeeper had in his possession the lad’s passport, visa and wallet. He told the Jeeva Nadi Guru that he would call again once he took possession of them.

After half an hour, he called back. He narrated what had transpired. Someone came to the shopping outlet and had handed over his documents. The lad was puzzled because the description given by the shopkeeper was that of Agathiyar! The lad immediately took out a photo of Agathiyar that he always carried along in his pocket. The shopkeeper acknowledged that it was Agathiyar who handed the documents!

AVM MEMBERS IN INDIA PART 1

Balachandran Gunasekaran is well known among AVM circles for his documentation of events. He has an extensive list of all those seekers whom he has introduced to the Nadi reading. Similarly he has photographed and documented his numerous pilgrimages to India. He has good memories of the dates too. 

Now on his 5th pilgrimage to India, Bala has sent in updates and photos. Bala and Dyalen Muniandi started their journey from AVM a couple of days before departure. They lighted a lamp each praying that their journey should go well.

TAKING THE FIRST STEP - BECOMING DIVINE

The year 2015 is coming to an end. Yet another year is about to pass. It has been a year of more revelations and deeper understanding for me on this intriguing and mystical path of the Siddhas. Over the years many of my friends at Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) have contributed to these pages on Siddha Heartbeat, their life experiences. So have friends on the other side of the continent. To all these good souls I take a moment to thank them for their contributions.

It gives much fulfillment to scroll through the many mails I have received from friends and readers encouraging me to continue with this blog, started some 2 1/2 years ago on a Sunday, 28 July 2013. To those who wrote in and shared their opinions, I thank them for their time and kind comments.

To all friends who have just started on this path, I welcome them to a path of mystery and amazement. The Siddhas themselves are a mystery. To fathom their teachings and to follow them is an uphill task. But with their grace and affection, rests assured that we shall gain some understanding.

Over the past years the Siddhas have slowly revealed their teachings through many mediums of instructions, foremost being their Nadi. 

Every single person who comes to the path of the Siddhas comes not of his own doing but because of a calling. In most cases he has had the boon of association with the Siddhas in the previous and past births, and as a result a continuation of this relationship takes place in the present. The Siddhas tirelessly continue to mold and make a divine man out of us. The Siddhas expect us to uphold the morals and high virtues that make a man. After helping us cope with our karma which they reveal through the Nadi, through numerous acts of devotion and kindness, they then shower us with their grace and blessings. With their grace and blessings we can then walk tall on this noble path of righteousness. Becoming a divine person, we are now expected to serve humanity and help do the work of the Siddhas, raising others to a divine state too. 

The Siddhas teach us to appreciate life; take things in our stride; work out our past karma and not to take on fresh ones. With a thorough and in-depth understanding of karma comes acceptance of all possibilities in life. With sagippu thanmai or tolerance man learns to endure all misfortunes and sufferings. By keeping his desires and wants under constant vigilance, he does not go overboard in seeking material gain, instead there is a healthy balance of both the material and spiritual world. By attending to the needs of the day he does not hoard away more than is required. If he is blessed with wealth that reaches beyond his needs he is expected to share them with less fortunate ones. With these noble virtues one can scale the mountain of 'life' with ease.

Thank you for your quick reply. Here I wrote my experience with the Sri Gnanaskandar Jeeva Nadi – Part 1. I will get more Readings, I am thinking to write a serial of this experiences. So that everyone can profit out of it. .. can you please publish it in your blog? So That many readers will come to know about the Siddhas, Muruga and Jeeva Nadi. So that many reader can find trust in the Siddhas and Agathiyar. .. Thank you. 
My experience with the Sri Gnanaskandar Jeeva Nadi – Part 1
I am a Siddha devotee from Germany. At the beginning of 2015 suddenly I lost my job. I have good qualification but still it was hard for me to find a new job. My life was previously no better, I had to struggle a lot.
After reading several blogs like (agathiyarvanam.blogspot.com, kaumarapayanam.blogspot.com, gnanaboomi.com etc.) I came to know about the Jeeva Nadi. I contacted the Skandar Upasagar to get a Jeeva Nadi reading. Normally it is not allowed to get a Jeeva Nadi reading per telephone. As I was suffering a lot, Lord Muruga and the Siddhas showed mercy upon me. 
On 12.06.2015 I get my first Jeeva Nadi reading per telephone. In this reading Lord Muruga gave accurate details about my life. Muruga even told me about birthmarks on my body and the meaning of this marks. He mentioned about a particular mark on my body which was a sign for spiritual life and the Siddha Path. Muruga told me that there are two temples in the city where I was currently living. One was a Muruga temple and the second a Krishna temple. He told me to visit both of this temples. Even I did not know that there is a Krishna temple in this City. I was searching for this Krishna temple. I found an Afghan Hindu temple with a shrine for Krishna. I was wondering how correct and accurate the Jeeva Nadi is. I am living in Germany and the Skandar Upasagar in Tamil Nadu. There is several thousand kilometers distance but still the Nadi is exact. 

Muruga mentioned about some health troubles with my stomach I have to face. As it was predicted I had some problems with my stomach for a few weeks. 
In the Jeeva Nadi it was told that I had several pictures of the Siddhas and that I have to pray to them regularly. It was also mentioned that Agasthiyar is my Guru and that my Kundalini will awake. I have to chant the Shanmuga Kavasam for 36 Days and that everything will be set alright. In a few weeks I will get the next reading so I have to be patient. 
In the next reading I got several new amazing revelation and exact prediction about my new Job..

A DEVOTEE'S NADI READING PART 2
My experience with the Sri Gnanaskandar Jeeva Nadi – Part 2
On 21.08.2015 I got my second Jeeva Nadi reading. I was still searching for a job and I was not successful with this. As I had also financial problems I moved from the city where I was living and shifted to my parents home, to a small town in northern part of Germany.
In the second Jeeva Nadi reading Muruga told me that I will get a Job in the Kaniṉi (Computer/Software) field and in the town where I am now staying. I was wondering and I could not believe this statement. As the town where I am living currently is very small to house a Software Company. Muruga also told me not to do any business now or go for a government job.

He told me to do a simple Pariharam with salt. Muruga also mentioned that in my town where I was now living that there is a Ambal Shestram of foreign religion and that I have to visit this Shestram regularly. Muruga is telling me to visit the Church of Maria in my hometown. A Hindu god is telling me to go to a Christian church?! The divine Play is great!
As I have a particular mark on my body which is a sign for the Siddhar path. Muruga told me that many Siddhas will bless me and I will get good spiritual development. I have to chat Shanmuga Kavasam everyday. In a few weeks I will get the next reading so I have to be patient.
One day I was searching for jobs on the internet. I found an advertisement of a small company in my hometown which was searching for a Software Engineer. Before that I did not know that there is such a company in my town.

As predicted exactly by Muruga, I am now working as a Software developer in this company in my hometown. What can I say about the grace of Muruga and the Siddhas!
My wish is that every devotee gets the same blessing, protection and guides that I have got. 
In the next reading I got amazing revelation about my spiritual heritage and a prediction about a divine visit...

Kriya Yoga Lessons





AN INTRODUCTION TO TRADITIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF YOGA & KRIYA YOGA

Gowri R Varadhan, our guest writer, and Kriya Yoga Master, has graciously submitted to write a series on Yoga for Siddha Heartbeat and train members of Agathiyar Vanam Malaysia (AVM) in Yoga. Gowri, a Yoga practitioner, having trained under the famed master Marshall Govindan, himself a student and disciple of Yogi Ramaiah, begins the series with an introduction to this science.
A short write up I came up with, on Yoga and its traditional classification. This is quite short and may not have sufficient information to interest the advanced souls. This was written mainly targeting people totally new to the fold of spirituality and Yoga, to give some basic idea. The ideas shared on Kriya yoga are mostly taken from Babaji's Kriya Yoga website as I didn't want to re-invent the wheel. The rest have been written based on my current understanding.
Introduction
The term Yoga is quite commonly used these days across the world, and in many cases, used quite loosely. In the West, a common man understands Yoga as a system of physical exercises which involves stretching that originated from the East. Some associate Yoga with Hinduism and consider it a religious practice. But, this cannot be farther from truth. India being a land of multiple belief systems saw many of them incorporate some form of yoga as the means to reach the ultimate. This includes Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shaiva Siddhanta. 
In this article, I am attempting to give a simple overview of what is Yoga, what are the different types of yoga and what are its benefits beyond the physical aspect.
The Word
The word Yoga comes from Sanskrit root ‘yog’ meaning to unite. To cut the long story short, we can consider that the term Yoga may refer to any practice that helps us to unite the mind, body and soul (atman). And it goes without saying that for this union to happen, the body-mind personality (ahamkara also known as ego) must be completely subdued. Here, the word ‘ego’ should not be read with the traditional meaning of a person’s self-worth, self-esteem or self-importance. Rather, the very identification of a person with his/her mind and body. Paramahamsa Yogananda, the author of Autobiography of a Yogi, defines ego as the delusion of identifying oneself with the mind and body.
So, essentially, all the different forms of yoga available must, by definition, help one to come out of such delusion to realize the divinity within. When this mistaken identity with the mind-body personality ends, one will realize that along with that ends all suffering and the person remains in a truly blissful state of joy. This clearly shows that Yoga is much more than mere stretching exercises done in a hot room with tight clothes. Its purpose is to ultimately drive the practitioner towards the ultimate goal of Self-Realization.
Various types of Yoga
Although, in current times there are 1000s of various forms of Yoga, only the traditional categorization is considered for the purpose of this article. In the past, the paths taken to realize God/Self, (i.e. to shake-off the limited identity of body-mind consciousness and merge with the infinite, all-blissful cosmic consciousness), were divided into four major categories.
1. Karma Yoga
2. Bhakti Yoga
3. Raja Yoga
4. Gnana/Jnana Yoga
All these different types had one single motive: to eliminate ego-consciousness and to allow divine consciousness to descend. However, the means to achieving that varied as explained below. It cannot be emphasized enough that, among these, there is no single ‘Yoga’ better than the other. Depending on the maturity of the seeker, the path most suited for him would vary. In many cases, we would need a combination of two or more of these practices to progress in our search for Truth.
Also, these paths may look completely different to each other, seemingly having nothing in common. But that’s only at the surface level. In reality, they all lead us to the same Truth and meet at the point of Gnana where the seeker loses his ego-self and identifies with the universal Brahman. Nothing summarizes this better than Swami Vivekananda’s words: “As different streams having different sources all mingle their waters in the sea, so different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to God.”
Karma Yoga – The path of Action
‘Karma’ here refers simply to action or disciplined action. Karma yoga emphasizes the idea that one must perform his duties with utmost sincerity without being attached to the fruits of their actions. By performing one’s duties in this way, one can gradually develop a sense of detachment and thus eliminate ego-consciousness. This is exactly what Lord Krishna preached Arjuna in Bhagwad Gita. 
The word ‘Karma’ can represent selfless service to fellow beings. And in such service, we lose ourselves, our sense of ego and the sense of “I am the doer”.
Swami Vivekananda is a great example of Karma Yoga. Although he could have easily renounced and become a hermit, he chose to carry his Master’s message to every corner of the world. He dedicated his entire life for this purpose. And nothing signifies this better than his statement “I shall take 1000 rebirths to help a single man educated/enlightened.” This clearly shows that his own enlightenment was secondary to him.
Bhakti Yoga – The path of Devotion
“Bhakti” is the path of devotion. It is much more than performing rituals and visiting temples/churches on auspicious days. In Bhakti, a devotee is emotionally longing for the divine. This is a yearning that is far more superior to any of their daily life needs. This is complete surrender. The devotee surrenders everything including their desires, fears, and life’s needs to the divine and do not want anything for themselves other than the divine. It can be noted that most Bhakts may not even have the desire to get enlightened and all they need is to be one with their object of devotion. Examples are Bhakt Meera, Alwars and Nayanmars of the south, Ram Das etc. In contemporary times, ISKCON is known to promote Bhakti Yoga. Nevertheless, it can be practiced by everyone by slowly cultivating such intense fervor towards one’s favorite deity.
A devotee would have one God/deity and would be deeply in love with that deity. It could be Krishna, Jesus, Rama, Shiva, Ganesha or Shakti or any others. In thought, word and deed, the devotee sees nothing but their God. Their emotional body is overflowing with the love for the divine. When they hear the name of their deity, they could burst into tears. They enjoy Bhajans or singing the praise of God. At the pinnacle, they no longer have a sense of themselves and their mind becomes completely absorbed in the divine, leading them to experience complete bliss and realize that their deity and their ‘Self’ are one and the same.
Raja Yoga – The Royal Path
Raja yoga is considered as the royal path to realization. It is very systematic and requires continuous and dedicated effort by the sadhak. Raja Yoga, in some traditions simply called as Yoga is well explained by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras. The 8 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga namely, Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi could be considered as the sequence of progression for a sadhak following the path of Raja Yoga. Here, the sadhak attempts to eliminate ego-consciousness by directly controlling that entity which gives raise to it – The Mind. The sadhak performs a number of activities such as Pranayama, Asana, meditation etc. and directly studies the nature of the mind, its roots, the 5 senses and their impact on the mind and how to stop their activity consciously. 
Patanjali defines Yoga as ‘Yoga chitta vritti nirodaha’. It means ‘Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations arising within the sub-conscious’ (Source: Kriya Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Siddhas by Marshal Govindan). Hence, all the practices of Raja Yoga are aimed at the goal of disciplining the mind, quietening it and completely stopping its activities consciously and to be absorbed completely in the Self. Such a state is called Samadhi which is the goal of Raja Yoga. In Nirvikalpa Samadhi, the sadhak is in a state of complete cognitive absorption where he has totally lost the sense of personal ‘I’ and the body and is completely merged with the super conscious. This is the highest level of Samadhi where the sadhak transcends the time-space dimension and identifies completely with the para-brahman or the universal self or the super consciousness. When they bring such a state of continuous cognitive absorption to their daily lives, then it is known as Sahaja Nirvikalpa Samadhi in which the person is able to perform his day-to-day activities even when his mind is completely absorbed in the Heart.
A special form of Raja Yoga is called Kriya Kundalini Yoga about which we will see in detail in a separate section.
Gnana Yoga – The path of Wisdom
“Control of mind by the control of breath is Yoga (Raja Yoga or Kriya yoga);
Control of breath by the control of mind is Gnana” – Sri Ramana Maharshi
In Gnana yoga, the term ‘Gnana’ itself signifies the goal. Gnana is the knowledge of Brahman or the universal self or Super Consciousness. According to Mandukya Upanishad, “Brahmavit Brahmaiva bhavati – The knower of Brahman becomes Brahman”
Thus, this appears to be a direct method to realize Para-brahman by diving straight into the nature of the self. The most common practice is self-enquiry, known in Sanskrit as atma-vichara. Here, the practitioner keeps asking the seemingly simple question, ‘Who am I?’ until he discerns and eliminates everything that is not the self, such as “I am not this body, I am not the 5 senses, I am not the mind etc.” It is not merely a mental exercise to keep repeating such statements or to repeat the mahavakyas such as ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ and ‘Tat tvam Asi’, but to consciously plunge deeper and deeper in to the source of awareness from which the very thought of ‘I’ emerges. When the mind is thus focused upon its own source, it gets absorbed and what remains is pure existence, pure awareness. That is when one becomes aware of being aware and the difference between the object known, the act of knowing and the knower ceases to exist. The practitioner remains as Sat-chit-ananda, in a state of pure bliss transcending subject- object relationship. In other words, the practitioner remains as the Universal self or Para-brahman.
The most well-known Gnana yogis are Adi Shankara in olden days and Sri Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj of contemporary times. 
This is the most direct method. Sri Ramana Maharshi says, the path a person takes to realize the self may vary according to his maturity and fitness of mind, but one has to come to atma-vichara as the final step. He also re-iterates that although Gnana yoga might seem dry and abstract to a beginner, it is not so. As the soul ripens, the other aspects of yoga such as Bhakti and self-less service will come into the practitioner’s nature automatically.
Babaji’s Kriya Yoga
Babaji’s Kriya Yoga, as mentioned before, is a special form of Raja Yoga. It also includes aspects of other forms of yoga such as devotion as in bhakti, discipline of action as in Karma Yoga and focus on being with the Self/pure awareness as in Gnana. It is a scientific art of perfect God -Truth union and self-realization. It is an ancient form of practice preached to Arjuna by Lord Krishna and was lost over time. In the late 19th century, Mahavatar Babaji revived it as a synthesis of Patanjali`s yoga sutras and the practice of Kundalini yoga by the yoga Siddhars. Thus, he cleverly combined both the aspects of consciousness (Shiva) as in Patanjali`s Sutras and that of energy (Shakti) as in the practice of siddhas.
The word `Kriya` comes from the root word ‘kri’ meaning action. In this context, ‘Kriya’ refers to action with awareness. It is emphasized that all the practices in Babaji’s Kriya Yoga are performed with utmost awareness. The sadhana of BKY is a collection of 144 exercises and spiritual practices for Self realization and transformation in all of our five bodies: physical, vital, mental, intellectual and spiritual. Kriya Yoga is a 5 phased integral approach to attain God-realization. Each of them addresses one or more of the koshas. Koshas are the 5 sheaths or bodies of our existence. It is best explained in Vivekachoodamani written by Adi Shankara. 
The 5 bodies are as follows:
· Annamaya kosha - physical body
· Pranamaya Kosha - Vital/energy body (emotions)
· Manomaya Kosha - mental body (mind and thoughts)
· Vigyanamaya Kosha - intellectual body (abstract intellect)
· Anandamaya Kosha - spiritual body
The 5 phases of Kriya Yoga are as follows:
1. Kriya Hatha Yoga
2. Kriya Kundalini Pranayama
3. Kriya Dhyana Yoga
4. Kriya Mantra Yoga
5. Kriya Bhakti Yoga
Kriya Hatha Yoga: includes asanas, bandahs, and mudras, psycho-physical gestures, all of which bring about greater health, peace and the awakening the nadis or the energy channels, the chakras. Babaji has selected a particularly effective series of 18 postures, which are taught in stages and in pairs. The first objective of Kriya Hatha Yoga is deep physical and mental relaxation. The variety of asana grants flexibility, lightness and buoyancy in the body relieving us of many disorders. The practice of the 18 asana series awakens the energy centers along the spine and kundalini, our potential power and consciousness.
Kriya Kundalini Pranayama: is a powerful breathing technique to awaken one’s potential power and consciousness and to circulate it through the seven principal chakras between the base of the spine and the crown of the head. It deals more directly with the subtler vital parts of the nervous system. Ultimately these pranayama will awaken the sushumna and direct kundalini upward through it.
Kriya Dhyana Yoga: is a progressive series of meditation techniques to learn the scientific art of mastering the mind - to cleanse the subconscious, to develop concentration, mental clarity and vision, to awaken the intellectual, intuitive and creative faculties, and to bring about the breathless state of communion with God, "Samadhi" and Self-Realization. It aims to bring the truth realized in our inner consciousness into our waking consciousness and become effective there. The level of our consciousness determines the nature and quality of the life we live. So, rather than trying to stop thoughts and drop into a void, our meditations focus on dynamic methods of strengthening the power of the mind, the power of visualization and stimulate a ready flow of intuition and inspiration, which can be used in our life.
Kriya Mantra Yoga: The word Mantra comes from ‘man’ + ‘tra’, meaning to protect the mind. The silent mental repetition of subtle sounds becomes a substitute for the "I" - centered mental chatter and facilitates the accumulation of great amounts of energy. The mantra also cleanses habitual subconscious tendencies. These are powerful seed syllables to awaken the intuition, the intellect and the chakras. They mantras also serve as a direct means of establishing communication with higher beings such as Babaji and the 18 Siddhas. 
Kriya Bhakti Yoga: the cultivation of the soul’s aspiration for the Divine. It includes devotional activities and service to awaken unconditional love and spiritual bliss; it includes chanting and singing, ceremonies, pilgrimages, and worship. Gradually, all of one's activities become soaked with sweetness, as the "Beloved" is perceived in all.
Babaji's Kriya Yoga is a spiritual tradition, wherein one “wakes up” from “dreaming with one’s eyes open.”. Babaji's Kriya Yoga is a path of Self-realization which is comprehensive, as it integrates all of the dimensions of our life. It is a path of self discipline which enables one to live in the world with open-hearted compassion.

AGATHIYAR'S GRACE PART 2


Besides revealing these mantras, AUM KLI ANG UNG SWAHA and AUM SRIM AUM SADGURU PATHAMAY SAABA PAAVA VIMOCHANAM ROWGA AHUNGAARA DUR VIMOCHANAM SARVA DEVA SAGALA SIDDHA OLI RUPAM SADGURUVE AUM AGASTHIYA GRANTHA KARTHAAYA NAMA through the Nadi reading, Agathiyar has mentioned other mantras too to others to eradicate or lessen their sufferings.

The magnitude and extend of Agathiyar's influence in alleviating the effects of Karma by coaxing the God's to compromise and come to a deal, and to mete out less severe penalties, and at times save a life too, is seen when one reads Agathiyar's revelations to the late Jeeva Nadi Guru of Chennai and the seekers of the Jeeva Nadi that was in his possession, published in the Indian weekly's and later made available in five volumes as NADI SOLLUM KATHAIGAL and also more revelations through Karthikeyan Aiya's blog SITHTHAN ARUL.

From Hanumathdasan's Tales of Miracles by Agathiyar, we gather many of such instances.

A lady seeked out Agathiyar to help her 26 year old son come out of his drinking habit and addiction of 7 years to ganja. The Jeeva Nadi Guru of Chennai assures the lady that Agathiyar shall save her child even before he starts reading the Jeeva Nadi in his possession. 

Upon browsing through the Nadi, Agathiyar tells him secretly that he (the Nadi Guru) has placed him in a fix, for the lad's condition was bad and he was nearing his death and there was no way he would survive. Agathiyar apprehends the Nadi Guru for going overboard and promising the lady that all shall be fine. 

On inquiring further, the lady tells the Nadi Guru that she had sought medical care. While under the care and watchful eyes of the medical team her son was fine but continued his habit after being discharged. 

Agathiyar reveals the lad's condition to the Nadi Guru. The lad had developed ulcer and his kidneys had began to fail. "How do you suppose I save him", Agathiyar questions the Nadi Guru. But the most compassionate father after a few moments of silence continues. He list out some herbs and explains how to prepare and consume them. He asked that the lad take it for a minimum of 48 days. Agathiyar asked that the lady see him again in event the medicine does not work for her son or if he develops complications.

2 1/2 months pass by when one day the lady comes running to the Nadi Guru. She informs him that her son had gradually recovered and had stopped drinking, but he had developed jaundice instead. The doctors have told that his chances of survival were slim. The lad was currently warded at the hospital. 

Agathiyar assured the lady that her son will survive and asked that she sit by his bedside at the hospital and read the Garuda Thandakam, Kandhar Sasti Kavasam, Dhanvantri Gayatri, and chant the Maha Mrityunjaya Japa continuously. After a moment the most compassionate Agathiyar adds that if she could not recite those works, then she was to place the books at his bed and it would suffice to recite her Kula Deivam Japam. "Even if uttered wrongly it is fine", consoles Agathiyar. "The Lord won't be angered if wrongly said or pronounced", he continues. "Agathiyar shall save the lad for the sake of the lady and the Nadi Guru", he ends.

Agathiyar then turns to the Nadi Guru and reminds him that he (Agathiyar) has decided to save the lad for the sake of the Nadi Guru this once and asked him not to promise such things in the future and place him in a difficult position. Agathiyar ended his Nadi revelation saying that a miracle will take place at the hospital and as a result the lad shall survive.

There was no news from the lady for the next 5 days. On the 6th day upon reading the local daily the Nadi Guru came across a news that the very first blood transfusion was conducted on a lad at the Chennai General Hospital and it was a success. It was the same lad whose mother had come for guidance. What transpired at the hospital was that a group of doctors had arrived and decided to carry out the blood transfusion for the very first time at the said hospital. The lad was lucky enough that the hospital had sufficient blood of his particular group too. 

Hence the lady's prayers were answered. Agathiyar saved the day, saved the lad, and saved the Nadi Guru too.

A similar miracle had taken place way back during Akbar's time, as posted in siththanarul.blogspot.com. Agathiyar narrates, "In bygone times, there lived a Mughal King, Akbar. He prayed that his son Humayun should live. His son was saved." Agathiyar reveals how Thirumular came to the aid of the Mughal Emperor Akbar and cured his son Humayun. 

Agathiyar reveals how Humayun was saved. Agathiyar says that both Bhogar, Thirumular and Korakkar were exponents in the art of leaving one's physical body and entering another. Using this technique, Thirumular had entered Akbar and saved Humayun. 

In an episode from NADI SOLLUM KATHAIGAL, the Siddhas stage a play whereby sacred cures are delivered to mankind to combat diseases and illnesses.

“I make much money but can’t seem to keep some aside. All I earn is spent on medical expenses and purchasing medicine. Only Agathiyar can save my family.”

With these words a man stood before the Jeeva Nadi Guru. 

“What are your medical problems,” questions the Guru.

The man began listing them out.

“My mother’s kidney has failed. My father has diabetes. My eldest son has an eye problem. My daughter has asthma. My third child has a growth on her neck.”

He wanted a single medicine that would cure all these problems. He added that the medicine should not cost much and be affordable.

His request surprised the Jeeva Nadi Guru.

“Could there be a single solution to all these people’s illnesses?”, wondered the Jeeva Nadi Guru.

But the man insisted that Agathiyar would help him as his family had worshiped Agathiyar.

When the Jeeva Nadi Guru asked the man if he had looked into other options like Siddha medicine and astrology, he mentions that he had seen them all but had yet to find a solution and a way out of his karma. He had seen Korakar’s Nadi. He had done a Yagam with the aid of Tirumular’s chakra. But there was only a slight improvement. The Nadi’s he saw all mentioned that the relevant solutions were in Agathiyar’s Nadi.

He continued with another requests, a request that astonished the Jeeva Nadi Guru further. He said his aunt has had one of her breast removed due to cancer and wanted Agathiyar to replace it.

Seeing that his request had angered the Jeeva Nadi Guru, the man was willing to drop his last requests. But he insisted Agathiyar reveal one medicine for all the illnesses mentioned earlier.

Agathiyar secretly reveals to the Nadi Guru that the man who stood before him was Kollimalai Siddhan. He reveals that Kollimalai Siddhan and he go back five generations. Kollimalai Siddhan had been under Agathiyar’s tutorship, learning medicine from him. Agathiyar had made a promise to him in the last birth and he had come to claim it. “I shall reveal 128 herbs to be made as a herbal preparation for the good of mankind', declared Agathiyar. 

The Jeeva Nadi Guru was told to ask the man to jot down all the names of the herbs, as Agathiyar began revealing them. As Agathiyar mentioned the names the man noted it down as directed. Agathiyar mentioned the proportions and how it should be prepared and consumed. Agathiyar mentioned that it was a wonder drug for all illnesses, a cure all panacea.

The man thanked Agathiyan and asked to be excused for a moment. Leaving the note behind, he walked out of the room, never to return. Hence mankind received the Siddhas Compendium of Medicine.

When the Jeeva Nadi Guru seeked Agathiyar for answers to the weird game that was staged before him, Agathiyar replied that this was their play or Thiruvilaiyaadal for the benefit of humanity.

In another very rare episode Agathiyar seeks the home of a man to relieve him of his miseries.

One day, Agathiyar out of the blues instructs the Jeeva Nadi Guru to pass the Jeeva Nadi that was in his possession to a priest, Ramamurthy in Mylapore, Chennai. Ramamurthy was to keep the Nadi for three days at his home. This directive by Agathiyar surprised the Nadi Guru. There were times in the past where Agathiyar had wanted the Nadi to be place at certain temples for a short period, but never before had he instructed to pass it to another individual. The Jeeva Nadi Guru was instructed to leave for Kabhaleeswarar temple immediately. He was ask to sit at a particular spot and face a particular direction at the temple. Agathiyar mentioned that Ramamurthy would come by and told the Nadi Guru how to identify Ramamurthy. Just as told Ramamurthy came along. The Jeeva Nadi Guru after confirming it was him passed the Nadi to Ramamurthy.

Ramamurthy without the least excitement or element of surprise, asked the Jeeva Nadi Guru to read from the Nadi. Agathiyar instructed Ramamurthy to keep the Nadi in his prayer room at home for three days and to worship it.

He was to conduct a Yagam too. “It is very necessary and has to happen immediate too”, stressed Agathiyar to him with an urgency. But Ramamurthy started giving reasons for not accepting the Nadi. “I have to leave for my village,” he started. But Agathiyar replied that he could take it along with him and added that for whatever reason he had to leave for his village, the event shall take place even without him leaving his home the very night.

Ramamurthy then said he had accepted to perform a Chandi Homam. Agathiyar spells out the Chandi Homam Ramamurthy had planned to hold at his home would not take place.

After a moment of thought, Ramamurthy started giving more excuses. He had a mother who was battling with life and a daughter who had separated from the husband at his home. He had a son who was an atheist and disliked him performing Homam at home. He feared that his son might destroy the Nadi.

After this moment, Agathiyar refused to speak through the Nadi any further. The Jeeva Nadi Guru forcefully handed the Nadi to the priest. The Nadi Guru was wandering why Agathiyar had still insisted that he pass the Nadi to Ramamurthy after he had refused to accept it. The Jeeva Nadi Guru arranged to meet him at the same spot in three days time. Ramamurthy reluctantly accepted the Nadi.

Although disappointed that he had to part with the Nadi and then to someone like Ramamurthy who did not appreciate or value the Jeeva Nadi, the Jeeva Nadi Guru reassured himself that there was always a reason behind Agathiyar’s doings.

Now that the nadi was not with him, the Jeeva Nadi Guru decided to leave for Tirupathy.

At Tirupathy, he accidentally meets Ramamurthy again. Ramamurthy on seeing the Jeeva Nadi Guru fell at his feet. Ramamurthy, after gathering himself and composing himself, reveals that if it was not for Agathiyar’s Nadi he would not be alive that day. Ramamurthy goes on to explain that he had come to Tirupathy by car to perform the Kalyana Ursavam as an atonement for his daughter who was separated from her husband. The car he traveled in went out of control, after one of the tires burst, hitting a light post and bursting into flames, By Agathiyar’s grace his family survived the crash and flames. They managed to perform the Kalyana Ursavam and were on their way out of Tirupathy. Earlier before leaving for Tirupathy, he had performed the Chandi Homam and at the moment of conducting the Homam a fire had broke out too due to a short circuit. The wires caught fire but again Agathiyar had saved them.

On the third day as promised the Jeeva Nadi Guru was back at the Kabhaleeswarar temple to collect the Nadi from Ramamurthy. With Ramamurthy was his 40 year old son, Manikanden. There was a drastic change in him, according to his father. Ramamurthy reveled at the doings of Agathiyar. Ramamurthy wiping in joy mentioning that he and his family were indebted to Agathiyar forever. Only now did he see the light of the day after having suffered for the past 40 years. Ramamurthy's mother who was bed ridden could now walk too. Manikanden too fell at the Jeeva Nadi Guru’s feet and professed that from that moment on Agathiyar was his guru.

The Jeeva Nadi Guru had so many questions that Agathiyar had to answer. He read the Nadi on the spot. Agathiyar reveals that Ramamurthy was his devotee in the last birth. He had done much service to Agathiyar, but due to his past karma he had taken this birth and had gone through hell. Although faced with all kinds of torture and sufferings yet he kept chanting Lord Shiva’s mantra. Agathiyar reveals that he had been at Ramamurthy’s home chanting so that Ramamurthy’s mother should live longer. Lord Dhanvantri submitted to Agathiyar’s plea and his mother shall leave another 14 years to a ripe old age, disclosed Agathiyar. Agathiyar adds that this was the first time he (Agathiyar) had gone to the home of a mortal to chant and seek that their lifespan should be extended. Agathiyar says Ramamurthy's mother deserves the life extension for she had prayed hard and long. Fate had planned that Ramamurthy should lose his life while on the way to perform the Kalyana Ursavam. Agathiyar had to step in, otherwise the Jeeva Nadi would have perished in the fire too. Agathiyar went further to reveal that he had brought the very much sought out change in Ramamurthy’s son too. Agathiyar worked on Ramamurthy's son- in- law too. “He will be a changed person in three months time,” assuring Ramamurthy that his daughter will reunite with her husband.

Agathiyar assures in the Nadi that in the future he (Agathiyar) will settle in many homes and help humanity.

In a revelation through his Nadi, Agathiyar mentions how Brahma had confronted him. "You are asking me to go easy on too many devotees. It would take not less than 10 years to seek out their Nadi or olai suvadi and make changes to their fate. If you keep on recommending that I save them by changing their fate, who is going to repay their deeds and karma. Do we not need to punish them for their karma", questioned Brahma.

The most compassionate Agathiyar speaks his mind. He tells Brahma that he believes all should be saved, and that their fate should be changed. Brahma says that he cannot stop a particular incident from happening but can reduce the repercussions or effects as a result of that event. Agathiyar pleads to Brahma to change the karma of all those who came seeking him (Agathiyar) as he had given his word to them. Brahma finally gives his word and promises that he would not harm any of Agathiyar's devotees.

Agathiyar never lets down his devotees who seek his guidance and advise. Agathiyar presents their cases to the higher authorities which includes appealing, pleading, bargaining and in worst situations confronting the Gods for the sake and well-being of his devotees.

AGATHIYAR'S GRACE PART 1



On 6 December 2015 I received a disturbing news that my mother was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). It came as a surprise and shock to the family as she was healthy though she was approaching her 90's. 

On arrival at the private hospital, I was informed that as her vital organs were failing, she was in the High Dependency Unit (HDU). She was conscious and could take sips of water and bits of food although she was all wired up. She had complained of breathing difficulties and asked to be admitted.

The family prayed to Erai and the Siddhas to spare her life. We included her in our prayers asking for her speedy recovery. We chanted Lord Dhanvantri's mantra seeking his grace and hoping that he performs a miracle. We chanted Agathiyar's mantra, one given to me in the Nadi many years ago, that Agathiyar said will remove curses, sins, illnesses and arrogance in an individual. We chanted another mantra provided by Agathiyar too in the Jeeva Nadi that he said will help prolong one's life span too. Ananda Jyothiamma prayed for her too assuring us that she was in good hands.

By Erai's grace my mother began to recover fast. She was moved to the ICU from the HDU the following day. To our delight and joy, her condition became stable and she was transferred to the normal wards shortly. On 14 December 2015, to our relieve, she was discharged and sent home. 

Erai and the Siddhas have always been with us since after coming into their path. Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigal told me that we would have to face many difficulties and go through trying times once we adhere their ways. But at that time I was not in any sort of dilemma or difficulty and I told him so. A devotee whom I met the same day I met Tavayogi at a local Peedham in Malaysia, kept on asking me what was my problem although I told him I had none. Finally he disclosed his reason for asking. He told me all those who came to the Siddhas had problems that they wished would go away.

True to his words the moments I was with Tavayogi, many came with their problems seeking an amicable solution from him. As I frequented these local Peedhams I came across many staunch devotees who were indeed suffering but yet stayed on the path. Others could not take the heat and pressure and left the path. For those who stayed I believed Agathiyar would some day relieve them of their burden.

Then my daughter was hit by a car while riding pillion. She broke both her tibia and fibula bones on her right leg. At the hospital while waiting to have an external fixation done on her leg, a senior medical officer reverses the decision and instead relies on nature to do the healing in 3 months as she was only 20. But she ended up being in a fiber cast for the next 9 months. Hers was a case of non-union that affected an unfortunate 5% of the casualties. The doctor had no way now but to recommend placing a plate and explained to us how he was going to go about doing it. 

Upon second thought he suggested another procedure, although common in the USA was still new in Malaysia. He suggested performing an Autologous Conditioned Plasma or ACP. This procedure did not necessitate that her leg be cut opened to place the plate but instead autologous platelet-rich-plasma from a small sample of blood of hers is induced into her point of injury and care prompting healing effects caused by growth factors released from the platelets.

The doctor's priced suggestion came as a boon for us, music to our ears for she need not have to undergo surgery. The procedure involved injecting into her bone the concentrating growth factors thrice. It worked after the very first treatment. After subsequent treatments her fractured bone finally began to mend together. She walks perfectly well today without any indication of her having met with an accident or receiving orthopedic treatment.

We prayed for her that she should begin to walk and that there should not be any form of deformity in her legs. We picked up Dhanvantari's mantra along the way and my daughter began writing this mantra in a note daily. An aunt of hers who was diagnosed with cancer brought back the sacred sesame oil that was given after libation or abhisegam on Lord Dhanvantri at his temple in Chennai, to be applied. Agathiyar assured us in the Nadi that he was there for us and had asked us to refrain from being tempted to seek other forms of alternative treatment, but rather to continue treatment in the government hospital. He assured us that there would not be any major surgery but instead only a minute procedure. 

When my second daughter came down with the dengue fever and was finally warded as her platelet hit a bottom 29, Agathiyar came with Tirumular to the hospital to heal her, and to raise her platelet level overnight as he disclosed later in Surendaran Selvaratnam's Jeeva Nadi reading at Kallar Ashram. We prayed that she should survive the dreaded fever that is known to have killed many.

When I came down with the fever too a year later, he saved me too with a speedy recovery. 

When my wife had to undergo a procedure that involved spinal anesthesia, Agathiyar in the Nadi told us to go ahead and assured us that he would be at her side during the procedure. In fact he amazed us by revealing the exact procedure that was going to take place at the government hospital. As usual we prayed hard and lighted the lamp, something he had always wanted us and other devotees to do when faced with difficulties and sorrow. My wife came through fine. 

When my mother-in-law went into a state of depression and had to see a psychiatrist, some time back, again we prayed that she should come out of that state and lead a normal life. My wife requested Tavayogi and Mataji to look into the Jeeva Nadi in their possession at their Kallar Ashram for a remedy. Agathiyar in the Jeeva Nadi gave us a mantra to be chanted 108 daily. We chanted the mantra diligently and my mother-in-law came out of her delusion.

Balachandran Gunasekaran too was saved twice from severe injury after falling from his bike. Agathiyar later told him he had caught hold of him. Sri Balachander and Srimathi Balachander too were saved while biking in Chennai some years ago. Agathiyar mentions this episode many years later in his Nadi reading.

That is Agathiyar's grace. The most compassionate father is known to have been a shield or kavasam to his devotees saving them from horrible death and injury. He has been a source of consolation to those who seeked advice. He has healed many of their injuries, illnesses, and diseases. He has helped many overcome their sufferings, hurdles and obstacles and miseries. The many writings of the revelations from Agathiyar through the Jeeva Nadi by the late Nadi Nool Aasan Hanumathdasan of Chennai published in a magazine and later compiled in 5 volumes as NAADI SOLLUM KATHAIGAL and these true life stories carried on siththanarul.blogspot.com are testimony for Agathiyar's many magnificent miracles performed for the sake of his devotees.

1) காலமிதில் செய்முயற்சி எங்கள் மார்கம்
காணும்வகை சிந்தையதை பலிதம் ஆக்கி
நிலமதனில் சூட்சமத்தை தூலமாக்கி
நயனமதில் பலனதுவை காட்டி விப்போம்
பிலமான மனோமய கோசம் தன்னை
பெருவழியில் பொதிந்தோர் வரங்கள் தன்னை
ஆலமான கருமமேனும் விடத்தை நீக்கி
அமிர்தமெனும் அழியாத மார்கம் செல்ல

2)செல்லவே வழிமுறைகள் உரைபோம் இப்போ
செப்புகின்ற கலியதிலே நாங்களும் தான்
அல்லலுறும் மாந்தர்களும் அவத்தை நீக்க
ஆசிரம நியதிபடி அவரவர் கர்மம் நீங்க
நல்லதொரு வழியளிக்கும் குடிலம் தன்னில்
நிர்மான வகை பூர்த்தி தருணம்யிதுவே
மாசில்ல தடம்தனில் பஞ்ச பூதம்
மணிவகுத்து நிற்குதப்பா திங்கள் முதல்

3) முதலான தீர்த்தம் அதே நிச்சயித்த
முடிவுருமோர் நந்தியதின் சின்னம் வைத்தே
பூதலத்தில் காமதேனு அம்சம் ஒப்பாய்
பெண் ஆணும் பாகமதாய் நிறுவிபாரே
ஒதவதால் ஊரணியும் தெய்வ அம்சம்
ஔடதமாய் சித்திக்கும் வருவோர்க்கு எல்லாம்
நாதமான சுழியரிவை அதிர்வை தூண்டி
நிலைநாட்டும் ஆத்மவிளக்கம் தன்னால் கூடும் 

4) கூடுமப்பா இத்தேகம் தொட்ட சிந்தை
குருதியுற்ற பருவுடலும் அவற்றில் தோன்றும்
பீடு பிணியும் வாதமொடு பல்கால் நோயும்
பிறவிமுதல் தொட்டுவரும் குருதி கர்மம்
நாடும்பல அவத்தையோடு வாழ்வதெல்லாம்
நித்தியமாய் தொடரும் இந்த சழக்கில் விட்டு
கடுகளவு அதில் பயமும் துன்பம் நீங்கி
காலபயம் அன்றியே என் மக்கள் வாழ

5) வாழவே அத்தனான பிரம்ம விதி
வழிமாற்றி சென்றிடவே வழியில்லை என்றாலும்
சூழவே சித்தர்களின் வரங்களாலும்
சுத்த மனோ வேண்டுதலின் வரத்தினாலும்
ஆழந்த துயர் நீக்கி தேகதுச்சமாய்
அமைதியுற செய்யும் விதம் ஆசிஇன்று
சூழந்ததொரு இருள் அனைத்தும் விலகியோடி
சுத்தமுள்ள மார்கநெறி நிறுவி நிற்க

6) நிற்கவே சூட்சமத்தை இன்று சொல்வோம்
நெறியான ஞானத்திற்கு தடையானது தான்
உற்ற பசி அதனால் உண்டாகும் சினமும் தானே
ஒதிட்டோம் துர்வாசன் என்னும் உவமை
பெற்ற தனம் தனில்பசி ஆற்றுவிக்க
பிழையற பேதமற தலத்தின் அன்னம்
உற்ற செயல் மாறாது மாச்சரியம் அற்று
உள்ளம்நோகா மருந்தெனவே ஈவாய் அப்பா

7) ஈவாயே எக்குணமும் உள்ள மாந்தர்
இருளென்ற கடும் பீடை உள்ளவர்க்கும்
பூவுலகில் இறை பற்றே அற்றோர் ஆனாலும்
பற்றியும் தடம் நோக்கி வந்துவிட்டால்
கவனமுடன் குருசித்தமாகவே தானிருந்து
கலக்கமதை போக்கிடும் உபாயம் ஒன்று
குவலயத்தில் குருதர்மம் தனை போதித்து
கலக்கமதை தீர்க்கும் ஞான வாக்குரை

அப்பனே குடிலமது பொலிவும் காணவே
அகத்தியனும் நந்தியும் காப்பு செய்வார்
பூரணமாய் ஆசிபல சோதி கண்டோம்
புந்தி ஒன்றி உரைத்திட்ட வாக்கு முற்றே
