Love, devotion, and a clear mind are sufficient. (Admin: For lack of a precise word in English for the Tamil equivalent மனம் (Manam) I am referring to it as mind. Please bear with me till I discover the right word.)
எப்போது நாம் பயணிக்கப் போகிறோம் சாமி?
When are we going to travel?
நாளை முதல் ஆரம்பம் (18.2.2024).
Beginning tomorrow (18.2.2024).
இறுதி பயணத்திற்கு யாரும் வர மாட்டேன்கிறார்கள்.
Nobody wants to join in this last lap of the travel.
தேறவில்லை.
No one qualifies.
இதற்கு எல்லாம் காரணம் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாமை.
The reason for all these is a lack of faith and belief.
நம்பிக்கையை குருவிடம் நம்பி ஒப்படைப்பதில்லை.
Not surrendering one's faith to the guru.
பக்தி எது பக்தி.
What is bhakti (devotion)...
நம்பிக்கை இல்லாத பக்தி.
If there is no faith in it.
குருவே வந்தாலும் கலியில் பலிக்கிறார்கள்.
Even if the guru comes in this age of Kali, he is ridiculed.
வேர் என்ன செய்வது?
What else (am I) to do?
உண்மையை யாரும் உணர்வதில்லை.
Nobody realizes the truth.
வீண் சிந்தனை.
Unnecessary thought.
வீண் குழப்பம்.
Unnecessary confusion.
ஏன் இப்படி உள்ளார்கள்?
Why are they like this?
இவ்விடத்தில் யார் பொய் உரைப்பார்கள்?
Who (dares) lie in this place? (Agathiyar's Vanam)
நடித்து என்ன கிடைக்கும்?
What is the point of making others believe?
வீண் சந்தேகம்.
Unnecessary suspicions.
தவயோகி வந்த இடம்.
This is the place Tavayogi stepped into.
நாங்கள் வாழும் இடம்.
This is the place we live.
யாராவது பொய் கூற முடியுமா?
Can anyone lie here?
நடிக்க முடியுமா?
Or pretend here?
இவ்விடத்தில் யாரும் பொய் உரைக்க இயலாது.
No one can lie here.
சந்தேகம் மனிதனை அழிக்கிறது.
Suspicion kills man.
எப்பொழுது தெளிவு பெறுவீர்?
When are they going to gain clarity?
விமர்சனம் செய்பவர்கள் செய்யட்டும்.
Let those who review (these happenings) do as they please.
ஞானம் பெறுபவர்கள் பெறட்டும்.
Let those keen on Gnanam receive it.
ஒரு குருவின் பனி ஞானம் தருவது.
A guru's job is to pass on Gnanam.
எப்படி, எப்போது தருவது நான் அறிவேன்.
The how and when of it only I (Agathiyan) know.
ஒவ்வொருவருடைய ஞானம் வேறு.
Each person's Gnanam is different.
வள்ளல் வேறு.
Vallal (Ramalinga Adigal) (Gnanam) is different.
சேஷாத்திரி வேறு.
Seshadri (Swamigal) (Gnanam) is different.
ரமணா ரிஷி வேறு.
(Bhagawan) Ramana Rishi (Gnanam) is different.

Do you understand?
எல்லாம் ஒன்றாக இருந்தால், மனிதனுக்குச் சலித்து விடும்.
If all (Gnanam) is one, it would bore man.
உண்ணும் உணவே பல சுவை...
If even the taste of the foods we eat varies...
ஞானம் மட்டும் ஒன்றா?
Would Gnanam be one?
மௌனமாக இருக்கச் சொல்வது எதற்கு?
Why ask us to be silent (adopt Mounam)?
வீண் சிந்தனை வராது.
No unnecessary thoughts shall arise.

No unnecessary talk arises.
நீ மௌனம் கொள்ளும் பொழுது உன்னுள் ஞானம் வரும்.
When you quieten down, Gnanam arises in you.
கேள்விக்கு விடை கிடைக்கும்.
You shall receive the answers to your queries.
என்னை நோக்கிப் பயணிப்பீர்கள்.
You shall travel towards me.
அவ்வளவு தான். வேர் ஏதும் இல்லை.
Thats all. Nothing else.
சில நேரம் நமக்கு தனிமை தேவைப்படும்.
At times we need that quiet moment.
உடல் ஆரோக்கியத்திற்கும் நல்லது.
It is good for your health.
உடலுக்கும் நல்லது.
Good for your body (too).

பால் அபிஷேகம் எதற்கு?
Why do we pour milk to statues?
பழங்கால கோவில்களில் சிலை உள்ளது அல்லவா. பால் ஊற்றும் போது, அதில் உள்ள பாஷாணங்கள் காற்றில் பரவி மக்களுக்கு மருந்தாகும்.
(Agathiyar refers to the temple statues made by the Siddhas out of Pasanam and worshipped in the past and not present-day glamorous temples built with the comfort of its devotees in mind). When we do libation to these statues with milk, the Pasanam in these statues is released in the air and comes as medicine to people.

Why flowers?
பூவின் மணம் நுகரும் போது மூளைக்கு மருந்தாகும்.
When its smell is inhaled it becomes medicine for the brain.
மூளைக்குச் செல்கிறது. மனம் சாந்தம் அளிக்கும்.
It induces calm in us.

அதற்குக் கொஞ்சம் போதும்.
You only need a little.
இனிமையான நாதம் எதற்கு?
Why pleasant music?
மனக் கவலையுடன் கோவிலுக்கு செல்கிறார்கள். நாதத்தைக் கேட்டவுடன் இன்பம் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
If one goes to the temple with a heavy heart, he feels relieved hearing pleasant music and tunes played.
கற்பூரம் எதற்கு?
Why (light a) camphor?
ஆரத்தி எடுக்கும் பொழுது உங்கள் ஒளி வட்டம் சுத்தம் பெறுகிறது.
When Aarathi with camphor or showing of the flame is done your aura is cleansed.
மனது ஒரு நிலை ஆகிறது.
The mind becomes composed.
மணியோசை கேட்கும் பொழுது ஒரு நிலை பெற்றிருக்கிறாய் அல்லவா?
(Similarly) Hearing the temple bells sound, we come to a certain state of mind, right?
அனைத்திற்கும் அர்த்தம் உண்டு.
It all has a reason (and meaning to it).
